As she smacked against the floor, cracking it open, the rune seemed to ignite into a blood red. Sparks of flame started to come from all sides of it....
Then, the floor fell apart completely.
Lyn found herself falling with the debris, into the darkness below. The darkness was eliminated by a blue light that shone as she landed into the shallow water of a massive cavern. It was only the one massive place, and there was no exit in site.

"Ya see, the thing is..." Lyn now formed a bright, white and gold broadsword that shined brighter than any flame. "I'm not using magic. I'm using divine power from a god...y'know...the stuff that wrecks things like vampires and evil spirits? Come at me, Coldbourne. I have the advantage."

Then, the massive beast rose out from the water. No, it WAS the water. The water flowed up and took shape. The rushing blue coursed up to form a serpent like body. The massive gecko like head took shape, but it seemed to grow and turn into the shape of a dragon. Horns grew out of its skull, and two massive red eyes beat down on Lyn as they formed. It let out a beast like roar, breathing and icy mist that made the air colder and the cavern snow. Then, it gave its full direction to Lyn. [spoiler]end of chap 43[/spoiler]
