Oh god, I'm actually trying...kinda. I mean, it's 1:40am, but I'm actually gonna put effort into something RP related for the first time...weird.
“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” - H.P. Lovecraft I always enjoyed Lovecraft’s stories. They always put into perspective how small we truly are and how we’re nothing compared to the gigantic world. This quote though, I always knew to be true. It’s easy to observe how much incredible, illogical fear people have when they don’t understand something. Sadly, I suffered from this first hand. It was a cool summer night, nearing the end of the season, when it happened. When everything changed. When my life dive bombed off a cliff into the rabbit hole of unimaginable dreams and nightmares. I was sitting at my desk, doing nothing of importance as usual, probably in some depressed state about having no true friends or anyone to talk to and wishing I’d finally do something with my life or just end it. I haven’t been the happiest camper since a pair of voices decided to camp in my head and argue and bicker and insult me whenever I shut my eyes at night. I clearly had mental problems. Probably some level of depression and...not schizophrenia, but some mental problem that has to do with the voices. Sorry, I sometimes...often get offtrack and lost in thought. Anyways, I saw orange lights flashing outside through my window. They were clearly in the sky, so at first I was sure that it was just lightning, but I never heard thunder. Eventually this freaked me out and I gazed outside, looking up at the sky the best I could. I saw bright orange flashes of light in the clouds and a strange void of black that formed the shape of a circle in the center of the clouds. My head was swarming with thoughts of possibilities and I knew I should try and wake my family and get to safety, but my curiosity….I hadn’t felt that curious since the summer before high school, before the voices and my depression. I lept out of my room, quickly grabbing my black hoodie and zipping it on so I wasn’t just wearing sweatpants outside. I ran out of my house the fastest my legs would take me, excited to maybe discover something amazing! Something groundbreaking! After a few steps outside...I blacked out. That’s when I woke up confused and frightened just outside the Dojo gates the next morning. My messy and short, but somehow still decent looking brown hair, my square glasses that I was always told made me look attractive somehow, my slim and long limbs, and my 6’3” height made me stand out a bit. Mostly because everyone else seemed to be f*cking space ninjas or hardened bad*sses with loads of guns in the area. I was just some 18 year old nerd from the suburbs in eastern Pennsylvania. I wasn’t yet awake apparently when I made “first contact” with a “native”....
Closed.

You'd be that "native", whoever replies first....Unless I don't see you/your character as fitting for this. In which case I'll tell you and wait for someone else that's more fitting for this interaction.
• A man stepped out of the gates. He was about 6'4" and had light blonde hair, which was in stark contrast to his dark blue and grey clothing. His eyes were a deep green. He noticed the newcomer. "Hello there, are you alright?"
