After I investigated the anonymous puppet master staging most of my major conflicts since arriving on this planet I spent the next few days gathering potential allies to pursue the mastermind behind this mysterious scheme. I asked Royal to help catalog our findings and come up with an outline for our plan of action. I was wandering the dojo and surrounding towns cities and villages asking for aid. I was having very little luck with recruiting. However. I was approached by an unfamiliar face. The what I desperately hoped to be a volunteer approached me and said...

"...Have you seen Xavier?" [i]A young and feminine voice spoke to the man. Turns out the face belonged to a young girl, seemingly around seven or eight. She wore a black and white striped blouse, with a white parka on the outside. On her legs were a pair of black boots with buckles, and similarly coloured shorts. Her blonde hair fell into long bangs, one going between her sapphire blue eyes and one sticking out to the right side of her hair. A black handbag dangled from the left side of her waist, strapped over her right shoulder.[/i] [spoiler]You probably didn't expect a child, huh?[/spoiler]

I am not sure how to respond. I improvise, "Um what would your friend look like? I myself have been looking for someone. I need anyone who can fight to help me on an adventure if sorts." I ask the girl. My detached emotionlessness obviously bothering the child.

She had been looking for her guardian for a few minutes now, another pair of eyes would help her.[/i] ----------------------------------------------------- [i]When they had found Xavier, he was in a park of sorts in one of the courtyards of the Dojo. But they had found him fighting some unknown forces. They didn't know what forces, as they were just at the entrance at the courtyard, and he heard the sounds of gunfire coming inside it. Mion had a worried and fearful look. Something was wrong.[/i]

I spread my wings to full span, dashing to Xavier's aid. I slash at these unidentifiable ethereal creatures with my spear. (Yes slash, not stab. I intended that.) We stand back to back, "Xavier? Mion asked me to help her find you. Need help with this?"

[i]Xavier wasn't expecting help, but he could take what he would get. Loading in what appeared to be a magazine into the rifle that had a red glow to it, he nodded to Jonathan.[/i] [i]The so called creatures were humanoid ghosts, looking like spectres with white cloaks, but no body. They stared at the pair with red, glowing eyes from their non-existent faces, and on their armless hands were what appeared to be unusual pistols.[/i]

I engage my bias field and syphon the etherial energy from the ghosts and channel it into myself and Xavier. I electify the air with elemental magic, then unleash consuming destruction magic. the creatures are ripped apart. I fall to my knees to catch my breath and rest. "Wow that took a lot out of me. I was looking for allies for a..." The creatures remains are pulled together and form into an even more massive and powerful version. "Just when I thought I had a minute to catch my breath." I try to stand, but can't. "Shit! I used too much energy. I need to leave the rest to you." as a collapse an black out. I awake to see Xavier and Mion kneeling over me. "I wish I could have been more help. I already used up a lot of strength before this. I got reckless from my..." Xavier cuts me off.
