Charlia wasn't sure about the boy. He was.. fueled by a hatred, something that she had known and experienced. She would look at Ike and see herself - granted, herself a hundred years ago: bloody and cruel, chaotic, and fueled by pure hate. It was a sad way. It wasn't a way that she wanted someone else to experience. In her hands, she caressed the burnt remains of Ian's rapier. The once shining metal was burnt off, almost in a rusty kind of way, creating patches of ugly craters and holes in the once beautiful needle and the grip. The woman's gloved fingers would wrap around the thin blade, before a satisfying, quick *snap!* would be heard, as the elf twisted off a portion of the rapier's needle. "I point this out, because I see something better than a killer in you. Someone better, in fact. Where you, and others, would see an abomination - I see a potential for redemption." The clutter of steel rang as the rapier was dropped, before Charlia turned, facing Ike. She would find herself studying him.. thin, but quick on his feet. He wasn't skilled, but that rune.. it twisted him. It was what kept him going, somehow.. "First things first: admit to me that your rune is your only lifesaver. Not skill, not swords. The rune." Charlia.. well, wanted to test Ike. His admittance was the key. She wanted for him to realize that she would at least attempt to teach him proper swordplay, and.. well, a little more in the future.

 • "Okay. I admit it." He shrugged–it was true. He was never taught a single thing about combat–Cain simply planted a mark on his arm and went on his merry way, leaving Ike to himself and learn the ways of the rune. His only prowess in combat was driven by the mad, berserk-like combat style that the rune would create–complete and utter aggressiveness with the only goal to kill the opponent. As Charlia mentioned him being an abomination, Ike's expression simply turned sad as he looked away, gazing into the trees in thought. "That's all I am, though. An abomination. Half the people I meet seem to want to kill me, the reason being what I just did–to that man." He shook his head, almost admitting complete defeat–giving in to the pressure. "That's all I am, and nobody has proven me wrong yet."

 • "You're only an abomination if you admit to being such a thing." Charlia muttered quietly, twirling the rapier's partly broken handle, the gilded steel brushing past her pale fingers. She knew how it all felt, how could she not? She found Ike to be quite similar indeed. Without proper training.. well, she didn't want to see what could happen to Ike if he didn't prepare for whatever he was up against. "I don't know if your intentions are good, or evil. But I won't stand by as you are outnumbered and outplayed by adult men and women who believe that it is good to gun down a child, whether he's some freak or not." She let out a sigh. To Ike.. well, the elven woman probably seemed very angry. "What is your name, boy?"

 • "... Ike," He responded to Charlia's question. As for his intentions... well, they were rather simple and pure, yet dark and possibly bloody at the same time–to protect those he cared about, which would in turn mean murdering the hell out of anybody who might pose a threat to them. And of course, he lacked the physical ability to do that. He gazed at Charlia as he though of his own intentions, part of him wondering what Charlia's own intentions were. In truth, he didn't believe the elf to be very angry at all. He knew what angry looked like–he saw it in himself over the dead bodies of the people he'd killed.

 • Charlia's deep midnight blue eyes, of which contrasted with her red hair, stared into Ike's pale blue pupils, as she stood in front of him, having to look down at the cannibalistic boy. Yet she did not glare with shame or distaste.. but a simple kindness. "Ike.. Charlia." She would nod her head. A simplistic introduction, to say the very least. "Charlia. We should begin tomorrow, Ike. It's late, and you should get some rest. I.. have a temporary home here, at the moment, if you want to stay."

 • While Ike had a home, albeit a temporary one, the thought that spending the night at Charlia's place would make it so that they could begin training earlier. And that prospect was greatly appealing to Ike, and so he nodded in acceptance. "Lead the way, then," He responded. His voice was still unnaturally cold, like his demeanor, likely part of what happens when the rune on his arm activates itself instead of Ike activating it. The sword of bone and leather would seemingly fade out of existence, leaving Ike empty handed–it seemed to him that there would be no need for a weapon at the current time.

 • Charlia, while initially bothered by Ike's emotionless demeanor, would give him a nod and usher for him to follow her, away from the forest and further away from Ian's burning body. The elven woman and the boy would happen to find themselves at a smaller home compared to those of Dojoville, as if only made for a person or two; not an entire family. Charlia would open the door for Ike for him to enter, flickering the lights on for him. The interior was.. relaxing. It wasn't overly luxurious or rich with precious furniture or perfect walls, but it was.. comfortable in a sense, with a smooth rug meeting Ike's feet as he walked into what appeared to be the kitchen. A table was to his immediate left, preferably for two or three people, especially with only three chairs with it, a window next to it. The sink was.. amazingly clean, funnily enough. In fact, everything was quite clean: either Charlia was a freak for cleaning stuff up (Iota would know, with the one assassination), or she had a lot of time. Perhaps both. The kitchen would section into a small living room with a couch and television, alongside a small nightstand with a lamp next to the couch, with a few rooms - probably the bedroom and bathroom - were closed by the white doors. Ike seemed free, at the moment.

 • As the door to the small home opened, the door to the bedroom would open as well, and out came a woman that would be very familiar to Charlia; with a head of short, shaggy, and light blonde hair, an angular face, pale skin, and an above average height of 5'8". She wore a rather simple, plain white tank top and comfy, short-short black shorts, which happened to reveal a lot of leg. Iota would smile at Charlia, waving slightly and nodding at Ike; she didn't really question why Charlia was bringing thirteen year old boys home; if she was a two-timing pedophile then she was a two-timing pedophile, and Iota would still love her regardless. Iota would introduce herself quickly and Ike returned the favor, before Iota went back into the bedroom and shut the door silently; Ike and Charlia likely had things to discuss. Ike looked away from the bedroom and up at the much taller woman, inquisitiveness in his expression. "So... what now?" He asked.

 • Charlia would deliver a smile and a soft peck to Iota's cheek before the sniper went to the bedroom, as she then returned her gaze to Ike and motioned for him to sit down. Charlia would sit as well, holding her soft hands together as she let out a sigh. She had never trained someone.. but she'd try, certainly. "An explanation. The things that I will teach you will likely play an important role in whatever fate you have. You seem to fight those who are evil, or.. pose a threat. Your efficiency with your blade is vital, but there's a lot more to it. If all goes to plan.. you may end up with yet another rune upon your arm, and capabilities befitting of one such as yourself. Are you fine with this, Ike?"

 • Ike thought for a moment; a second rune on his arm? The first one had put him in his current situation, but also allowed him to save himself and –avenge others when he slew Ian. He decided that there could be no harm in another one... or at least no more harm than what has already been done. "... yeah, I'm fine with that," The boy would reply with a nod. He had many questions, of course, but knew that most would answer themselves in due time. For now he could only focus on whatever training Charlia had to give. "What are we starting first with, tomorrow?" He asked.

 • "Starting with your form and such, tomorrow. If anything, I want to see how you fight in combat, instead of making assumptions about you as I did beforehand.. your abilities are useful, but it's what you learn that will save you, nothing more. You should get some sleep. We've got a long day ahead, and I don't need you to slack off."
