"Lord King of the...." The boy shook his head. Many people at the place where he used to live liked to deem themselves the lord of the universe or some kind of god - he learned to ignore them. He looked at Gilgalad curiously, wondering if his claim had any fruit - after all, people obeyed his claim, and he seemed kind. "What makes you different form the rest of them?" The boy asked, tilting his head to the side slightly. "The other kings and queens, gods and goddesses. The ones that never end up doing anything useful."

 • "Well, firstly, I kill them. They repress the people and sunder the chances of society to attain anything more than what it has. Secondly, I protect my citizens with the fury and authority I have earned." The King smiled kindly at the boys inquisition.

 • Ike was a bit skeptical - in truth, any ruler, true or fake, would say something like that. But from what few moments Ike had spoken to the king, for what short time he had observed Gilgalad, the boy knew that it was certainly possible. That the Golden King was more true and real than the others. All Ike would need was for a situation to arise in which Gilgalad could prove his claim. And, coincidentally, he felt as though he himself would work as one such situation. "Okay, last question. Let's say there was a person who has... mistakenly, done horrible things. Taboo things, like consuming other people's flesh mindlessly. This person is viewed by others as a demonic abomination, somebody that many wish to purge from existence." He barely managed to force the words out of his mouth, but he understood the truth. He tried to remain indifferent as he spoke. "If you found that this person felt guilty about what they've done, and wanted to repent in some way... how would you judge them?" Depending on Gilgalad's answer, the boy would either support the king's claim or deny it.

 • "Well...considering the specificity and evidently single-incident nature of the crime, and the fact that it was not entirely unprovoked, I would consider it a matter of penitence. If the person in question was truly sorry for his deeds, and truly wished to redeem himself, how could I be just and not grant him a chance to better themselves?" The gaze of the King let on his educated guess at the identity of the person of interest, the smile having left, replaced by a serious look of concern for the sake of one of his subjects.

 • "Th-this is all hypothetical, of course," The boy would follow up immediately as he saw the King's expression change. He hoped that the king would assume that it was a relative or close friend that the boy spoke of, not he himself. But either way, he would find himself taking a liking to the King–deciding that he would support his claim to the (iron) throne. He would simply nod in response, before speaking. "Then I'd believe and support your claim," Ike finally said. "As the Lord King of the universe."
