The boy's head had many thoughts going through it, but most prominent was that the man didn't look to be one who abuses his power. He paid the vendors instead of stole from them, and whatever the hand-on-head thing was... it looked to be a sign of goodwill. It wasn't everyday he met somebody who was both revered and respected so greatly. The boy took to weaving through the crowds, perhaps to see what the king would do, or perhaps searching for a way to catch his attention.
