A loud beeping within Kyra's headset would awaken her from her slumber. She startled awake, sitting up straight on her couch, for some reason dressed in full combat armor as she slept. Her electric blue eyes darted around the screen behind her helmet's visor, reading the alert that came up; an unidentified portal opening up, and a strange, unidentified, teenage girl falling out of it. Kyra's hand went to the left side of her head set to click a button that was hidden by her hood, running over to a file cabinet as she did so. Within the file cabinet was her gauntlet, the Mistmaker. Its gunmetal gray texture was smooth and polished, the pointed fingers sharpened to be like knives. Kyra quickly grabbed the gauntlet, putting her left hand into it, and flexing her fingers as a test. Her sword–a 2'8" scimitar, named Frenetic Mania, was already sheathed at her side–she had slept with it, for whatever reason. The button click would connect Kyra to a radio line, in which she would speak to communicate to somebody through a microphone within her helmet. "END confirming reaction to the 12:58 alert," She said. Indistinct voices replied to her from the other side, and she merely nodded and replied briskly. "Ten-four. Departing now." Kyra would open up the window of her apartment, before diving out. She would do a quick flip in midair, allowing her feet to slam into the pavement that was a couple stories beneath her window. She then broke into a sprint, the exosuit's machinery boosting Kyra's already great innate speed. She would jump over live traffic, climb over buildings and sprint over rooftops until she arrived at the scene of the crash, about ten minutes after the occurrence. She raised her left arm, pointing the small gun barrel that was attached to the back of her gauntlet hand at the site of the collision, searching for the teenage girl the alert had said had fallen out of it.
