“With great power comes great responsibility....said some old guy in a comic and a couple of movies. You know, that’s great and all, but power doesn’t seem to come with some handbook on responsability or anything that could help me with know WHAT THE F*CK I’M DOING!...Sorry, I shouldn’t swear on this log thing, should I?”
A teenage girl sat on her bed, her phone sitting across from her on a dresser with the camera on and recording video. She was in comfortable, loose sweatpants and a loose t-shirt with her long brown hair down so it was resting on her shoulders.
“Okay, I’m off to a great start, aren’t I?”
She sighed, running a hand through her hair. The girl was obviously very overwhelmed and tired, but had a hint of excitement held at bay behind her bright green eyes.
“I can just cut that all out….Okay….”
She shook her head and made a few strange noises to loosen herself up before turning back to the camera with a wide smile.
“Hello, I’m V...I mean, I’m Victoria B. Hazlette. Most just call me V though. Umm….Where do I start?”
V looked around in thought for a few moments until she came up with something and returned her focus onto the camera.
“It all started yesterday, I guess. How do I put this?”
Large, white, and feathery wings burst from her back and one crashed through a window by her side. She winced and pulled her wing back inside the room.
“That went better in my head….Well, yeah. I’VE GOT WINGS! A-And I can f*cking fly and sh*t too! It’s f*cking awesome and I feel so free and and and...UGH! It’s just so cool!”
The girl giggled and seemed to lose herself in her excitement for a bit.
“I also can like, control air with my movements and my mind...it’s crazy, man. This is like other worldy sh*t. I used to just be some normal *ss girl in highschool, but now look at me! I’m like a mother f*cking superhero! Now, if only I had a cool *ss name…”
There was banging on the door.
“Sorry, uncle! I’m going to bed right away!”
The girl leaned forward and turned off the camera in a hurry.

The Next Day
In the sky a large portal formed and from it came a large figure, crashing down to the ground. When it impacted a few thousand feet away a ton of dust went flying into the air and the sound of it crashing into trees could be heard.

"I'm just restless," Kyra replied with a sigh. "Don't usually sit around a chat, see. I spend a lot of my time roaming around and dueling whoever I can find that uses a sword." She shrugged–it was evident that she liked swordplay quite a bit. "Was actually thinking of moving to Lumen Solis, just so I could get some more action, but money's tight."
-
"I'm sorry I don't use a sword, but maybe you could teach me? Well, later anyway. I've been up for over 24 hours and should get some sleep, so I think I'll crash on this comfy couch, you got." Victoria fell back down on the couch and stretched out on it. "Mmm...feels good."
-
"... yeah, I suppose I could teach you what I know," Kyra agreed after a moment of thought. "But get some sleep now. I'll be out again." She kept her casual wear on while equipping her gauntlet and sword once more, opening the window before turning to face Victoria one last time.
-
V waved to her as she left. "Have fun. I'll be waiting here for you to return."

A man was standing there, his orange eyes inspecting the event with caution. He was flickering for a moment, like he was caught between realities, then he became solid "Oh look, another immortal god crashing from the sky. Guess I shouldn't be surprised. Even though knowing the fate of space and time should eliminate that element, it doesn't really seem to..."
-
He could see a circle of wind and thin mist slowly forming a small circle around the area of impact. The branches of trees bent and leaves rustled as the wind just kept picking up in the area. What ever was inside was blocked from the person's view.
-
He approached the area, calling out to whatever was inside "Relax. I'm not here to hurt you."
-
"Is someone there?!" He heard a teen girl cry out from behind the mist. "J-Just keep out of the circle then."
-
"Alright. If that is what you wish." He paused "If you don't mind me asking, who are you?"
-
"The name's Victoria, but just call me V. I'm from Brooklyn. You?" The girl sounded less and less filled with pain as time went on.
-
I suppose I'm not exactly from anywhere. I've kind of always existed." He paused "And as far as who I am goes, well, that's something that does not have a name."
-
"Ooookay...spooky, much? Very mysterious..." The mist and wind instantly died down so he could see the teenage girl fully. She had on dirty skinny jeans, once white sneakers, a small black top that showed a bit of her midriff, and finger-less gloves on her hands. The two wings on her back were badly damaged, one had a burn mark and the other a large gash.
-
The man looked at her, curiously inspecting everything that see was. He was dressed in black and clad in an ancient silver armor. A hood kept his face partially concealed, but she could make out pale skin and a pair of orange eyes "I apologize if my appearance is a little bit frightening. I'm not the most... social being in existence."
-
"Huh..." Her eyes widened a bit when she looked him over and she took a step back, looking a little cautious and worried. "You remind me of the demons n'sh*t I was just fighting that teleported me here."
-
"Do I? My sincere apologies then. I didn't want to come across as a demon..." He frowned, and began to flicker between realities. Then the man became solid again "So, if you don't mind me asking, where did just you come from?"
-
"No biggy." The teen shrugged. "I was just in New York city before I got here...where ever here is exactly."
-
"Tatakai. You must have come from a different reality then. In this one Earth was destroyed." He looked at her for a moment, then continued speaking "There's a place they call "The Dojo" nearby. Maybe they can heal the rest of your wounds and tell you more about this place."
Kind of ironic since he literally knows everything. Even stuff that neither of us may know. Like when she will die, the fate of the universe, shit like that
-
"Oh...destroyed. Sounds like fun. I'm sad I missed the party." V shrugged. "Alright, I guess I'm heading off to the Dojo then."
-
"Be careful. It's not the safest place in the universe. And it definitely doesn't hold the most information on your... situation. In any case, stay safe." He smiled, drawing something out of his pocket. It was a strange, silver coin with an ancient symbol engraved on the front and back... "Here. Take this." He threw it to her "If you ever need any help, or wish to know something no one else knows, use this coin. Channel energy into it, and I'll come your way."
-
"Huh. Is it a tracker or something? Well, thanks anyways. See ya around, man." V flapped her wings once and went flying hundreds of feet into the air before gliding towards the Dojo.
-
He watched her leave, standing there with a smile on his face That girl is doomed to die... And then he vanished, his form dissipating in a mix of shadow and fire
