The man was walking down a particularly dark alleyway when he heard the noise. It was a noise he couldn't quite put his finger on, because it seemed so out of place in a world such as this. It sounded ... Old. Old, yet familiar, in a world where the oldest of medieval knights roamed, along side the most futuristic of space explorers. And then the arrow seemingly came out of nowhere, lodging itself in the wall just centimeters from his face. That was it. An arrow being nocked. Another voice said, just a couple paces in front of him. This one sounded to be human. Moonlight gave a small glint off the man's helmet, revealing the silhouette of a figure leaning against a wall. Watching. Observing intently in the shadows.
