Soldiers moved urgently around the deck to get ready for the attack they would soon commence. Some boarded gunships and jets. Others got into smaller boats below the carrier.
Along with the rush was Cornelia. She ordered her own team into a boat for themselves. It was a small motorboat equipped with small breach charges and a mounted mini gun.
They waited below the carrier with the others for the signal to move. Jets flew overhead and toward the target, one of the enemy carriers. As they got closer, they heard a shout from a man on the deck. He shouted into a megaphone loudly.
"Motorboats ready! ... GO GO GO!"
Each one propelled forward and the sound of the engines rang out loudly. Cornelia yelled over the engines.
"I hope you're ready for this, we finally get to be on the offensive!"
One jet dropped a bomb over the enemy boat and a shockwave emitted from it, temporarily disabling the shields.

Cylus and Q sat in the front of the boat with Cornelia, watching the looming enemy carriers. Q sat and counted his arrows and equipment while Cylus calibrated his sights to his weapons. "So I'm guessing we storm the place and take their shit. And this time, we do take prisoners." Cylus asked, glancing at Cornelia.
-
"Yes, but I doubt they'll give us that opportunity here..." She started loading up the mini gun.
-
"Okay. Full execute authority."
*This wouldn't be the first time.* Q mumbled, putting his quiver over his back. *In and out. It'll be nothing more than another op.* Q said.
"In and out. Right." Cylus nodded.
-
"Here, take one of these each, we'll need them..." She handed cylus and Q each a breach charge, then finished loading the mini gun. She motioned to them if any of them wanted to use it.
-
They each took a charge and put it wherever they'd have easy access to it. "You go ahead." Cylus said, gesturing to the gun
-
"Alright..." She grabbed the mini gun and began firing up at the carrier where enemies where poking over and firing at them.
-
Cylus flicked a switch on his Hemlock, switching it's firing mode to semi automatic. He made quick glances through his sights and fired shot by shot, landing precision kills on anybody who poked their head out.
-
Soon enough, they stopped poking their heads out and the three reached the loading ramp under the carrier. They got off of the boat and on to the carrier. Walking to the end of the carrier ramp, they reached a small doorway, but the door was already open. Cornelia went to one side of the door immediately and gestured for them to also stay out of sight.
-
Cylus and Q took cover on the other side of the door, looking for Cornelia's orders. The eyes on his helmet narrowed, and he drew one of his pistols from his belt.
-
Cornelia grabbed a flashbang from her belt and unclipped it, throwing it into the room. A loud shout was heard. "Grenade! Move!" It exploded and it was silent again. Cornelia swept through the left side of the room.
-
Cylus and Q moved in, swarming the right side with such coordination that it was almost like they had some sort of psychic bond. They aimed there weapons, sweeping for any operatives.
-
Two enemies poked out from the middle and right side. Both had shotguns and fired simultaneously.
-
Upon seeing them fire, Cylus tapped into his Impulse, effectively slowing everything around him. He pushed Q put of the way and nonchalantly dodged the spread of bullets from the shotguns, before stepping forward and putting two shots in each of the operatives' heads. As things returned to normal around him, he stood over the two bodies, watching as the wisp of smoke rose from the barrel of his pistol.
*Thanks.* Q mumbled.
Cylus glanced at Cornelia to see if she had witnessed him in the act.
-
She had just swept her side and barely got a glance at what he had done. "Fancy. What was that?"
-
"Err- I call it Impulse." Cylus says, twirling his gun in his hand.
*He can basically slow down everything around him, or in certain cases, select objects. Although stressing it too much comes with consequences.* Q says, brushing himself off.
"What he said."
-
"Interesting, looks fun..." she said, "Now, let's keeping going befor- She was cut off by the sound of an alarm turning on. "...They notice us..." She quickly made for the next door and began leading them down a hallway.
-
Cylus reloaded his pistol as he ran, following Cornelia. Q was close behind, nocking an arrow and checking the halls. "This ought to be fun!" Cylus shouted over the alarms
-
"Something like that." Replied Cornelia. As they ran, enemies poured into the hall they were running through.
-
Cylus aimed his pistol and began rapidly firing, pulling his other out as he did. Q nocked an arrow that had a special arrowhead, and shot it right into an operative's head. As it did, it proceeded to explode, obliterating the skull and disoriented anyone that was too close.
-
The stunned soldiers in front shot cylus and Q rapidly.
-
Cylus dived backwards, dropping a smoke grenade and pulling Q backwards with a grapple. They hit the floor hard, and they both crawled back into the room they came from. Looking down at himself, Cylus realized be had been hit twice, but no real damage was done. The bullets failed to even penetrate his jacket, so he would be fine. "Cornelia!" he shouted over the gunfire, looking for the woman
-
Cornelia wasn't to be seen. After a second, they could hear her on comms. "I'm in a separate hallway! Keep the fire up, I'll keep them still so they'll be easy targets." A moment later, they heard electricity and the enemy fired slowed a little bit and became erratic. "Now! Shoot them!"
-
Cylus stepped out with Q, both of them firing as fast as the could. One precision kill and after another, the enemy operatives dropped faster than the bullet casings from Cylus' pistols.
-
Soon, the finished and Cornelia returned to them. "Come on, we still have quite a bit to go."
-
"Well, let's get it over with." Cylus nodded. He reholstered his pistol and removed the Hemlock assault rifle from his back, switching it to a 2-round burst. "Shall we?"
