[b]She adjusted her hood, flames licking at the cloth but not catching. The air was dangerously hot now, the ashes on the ground were swirling as the inherent vortex of the ring began to form in force.[/b]

"Now to tell me how exactly you saved it?" She asked. Her voice was dead, silent, but she was growling. She seemed very, very mad about this.

[i]"Well, it was burning, I saw it was burning, determined at which point the optimal undergrowth clearing and ash production was achieved, and put it out. I could've left it to burn the entire thing, but these trees aren't designed for that kind of burn, so I stopped it short."[/i] [b]The fire ring started to dissipate a bit, the flame noticeably dimmed as volume of it dropped. Still boiling hot, however.[/b]

"I...." She seemed speechless. She thought out long and hard. "What did those plants ever do to you? I understand you tried to save them, but you let some burn to the ground."

[i]"Sit."[/i] [b]She said simply as the flame ring fell back to the ember ring, as she herself sat down cross-legged, lowering her hood as the heat almost entirely dispersed, becoming much more tolerable and not face scalding. Her face was slightly angular, with roughly cut short black hair. Nothing special, she looked perfectly human. [/b]

"I do not follow rules of flame. I follow rules of vegetation." Her voice was soft and quiet, "And one of which is to return."

You can affect the flow, but to go against it is to challenge the world itself. To block it is a crime against everything. The flow, however, is self destructive. The world yearns for balance and equilibrium. This often means it is self-destructive. Forest fires, earthquakes, meteor impacts. They all seek to render everything down to pure and total anarchy, perfect equilibrium. This is not good for us, however, so we must retain control over the flow. Guide it gently away from the dangerous things while still staying on the proper path."[/i] [b]She gestures around[/b] [i]"Destruction is often part of the proper path."[/i]
