After JT's introduction and flair, the announcer got back on the mic as JT's opponent plopped into the arena from above, landing on his belly.
"...and against him, this Repurposed Management Droid has been through thick and thin in his short 7 years! Give it up for... Mango!"
The stadium's cheers lessened, not sure what to make of a fighter called "Mango". He mumbled something about hating bets as he stood up, dusting his suit off.
He stood at about six feet tall and had a giant fur collar around his navy blue suit. He looked at JT and quickly grabbed the SMG hanging off his chest.
Will this be perma-death or...? I'm still remembering the rules of this place

This is virtual reality dude, nothing real will happen to your character.
JT analyzed his opponent momentarily, before he allowed the cannons at his hips to take aim and start firing at Mango. Bullet after bullet spewed out of the steel barrel, as countless .308 rounds flew at the droid's torso.

Mango's suit activated and he turned invisible, avoiding the gunfire in the process after taking a few hits. Core systems were still active. He leaped from the floor onto the wall, running along it. As he got behind JT, he leaped from the wall and cocked his fist back, whipping it forward at 50 km/h into the back of JT's head.
Is Mango hiding his heat signature as well or no?

https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/229547185/0/0/1 The only places emanating heat are the tips of the heat sinks, on his belt You can see their locations in the image linked in the bio

Would s thermal tracker be able to pick it up?
-
I mean, a thermal scope would be able to see the tiny amounts it gives out
-
Alright.
The guns used a thermal recognition software as opposed to a regular aiming mechanism to get its firing done, and so it kept a sustained fire on Mango.
So did the punch land or not?
-
Yeah. The suit is a few hundred pounds so it didn't fall, but there's a fair sized dent there now.
The small amounts of heat his suit gave off threw off the trackers as he jumped and slid all around the arena. His cloak only broke slightly when he took pot shots at the suit and fired his gun, flickering in and out. Mango jumped right at JT from behind, hooking his arm as he slid beneath his legs, trying to bring him down.
-
The suit weighed upwards of one one thousand pounds alone, so JT would remain unmoved by Mango trying to pull him. Rather he grabbed Mango's arm with the free hand he had and used that to throw him against a rock, positioning it just so that s spine of the droid would collide with the tip of the rock.
-
Mango let out a scream as he slammed into the rock, his spine nearly giving out. "Core systems still active..." He grunted to himself, standing again and hiding behind the rock. He checked through his pouches to see if he still had something... His eyes lit up as his hand grasped the grenade. He pulled it from the pouch and inspected it, smiling as best a robot could. He cloaked again and left the rock, charging at JT while ducking between different covers. He rolled in front of JT, pulling the pin. Mango shot up in an uppercut fashion, slamming the grenade into his armour's jaw before kicking off of his chest.
