[i]Osprey got into his starship and turned it on. The engines on the back roared and he started to take off. Flames burned out of the jets and his shipped ascended into the air along with a few others. They flew vertically until they eventually escaped into the void of space.
From there, the stars were brighter and everything was quieter. In the distance, they could see lights beaming in all directions and ships flying around. Osprey got on the comms and alerted the others what was going on.[/i]
"The enemy Peregrine is taking our mothership! Get on your guns and let's clear em out."
[i]As they got closer, Osprey readied the double machine gun on the top of his ship.[/i]
[spoiler]Open for space group, if you don't have your own ship, you are in Osprey's ship using his gun.[/spoiler]

Cravis's bulky gunship departed from the group with surprising agility, and fired two rockets at the cluster, at no ship in particular. When they were about half way to their target, their sides split open, shooting out a swarm of guided submunitions, each following their own ship.

Some of the enemies popped flares and others got hit. They focused on the large gunship as it was an easy target for them. Each enemy was equipped with Gatling guns which proceeded to use on remen. Bullets began to tear at his ship rapidly as they flew by. Osprey tried to help, firing at some of them.

Muffled swearing was heard over the comms. Suddenly, cravis tuned in. "Okay, plan B." The ship brung it's guns to bear at the attackers. The shields of the ship were weak, but it's armour was surprisingly tough. "Okay, if you have any disorientation equipment, use it now."

"Uuuh... not made for disorienting, but I think it'll have some effect..." Osprey's ship flew by and started to release bombs into the open. The ships that flew by were damaged and even destroyed by the explosives as they were set off.

The gunship, now fully bearing on its target, fired it's cannons toward the enemy ships, the light guns on both sides of the cockpit able to track a target individualy of the ship, but the medium guns on the wings and heavy plasma cannons on the front were confined to the same target.

He destroyed many of the ships around him, clearing a path. Only 5 remained which flew around tactically. They fired in fast bursts at his ship.

The gunship started flying around the group in circles.

They slowly fell into a line, following him in a circle. They were lining up to take him out from behind.

A double-barrelled ground to air cannon protruded from the top of the gunship, difficult to see from the back. Suddenly, a flurry of short-fuse micro-grenades short out of the back of the ship, exploding with blindingly bright phosphorus sparks in the faces of the pursuing pilots.

The sparks distorted the front ships and they started to veer off course. Osprey took advantage of it, firing at them. Meanwhile, the remaining ones started shooting missiles at remen.

Taking advantage of the temporary confusion, Cravis made the ship hard turn to the side, making the pursuing ships in line for the anti-air cannon, and remedanthetr fired, attempting to take out as many ships and missles as possible.

The two ships that veered off course survived and osprey took one, the other started to fly away.

Cravis got on comms. "Well, this thing is called a gunship for a reason."

"Glad to know it works..." Osprey took down one and the other began to flee. "Now if you could help me with that last one, we need to get on the mothership. The enemies have already gotten on it."

"It's fleeing. It's of no danger to us or the mothership. I'm not sure we can afford to waste time. The gunship started to fly towards one of the mothership's hangers

"We might regret it, but I guess you're right." Osprey pulled into the hangar, landing his ship next to remen. As they both exited. Osprey drew his spear/staff from his back and entered the ship. Inside, enemy Peregrine troops could be seen running down the halls toward the control room. If they made it there, they could capture the ship.

Remedanthetr jumped out the ship and turned to osprey, and started running towards the control room by the fastest route, the layout mapped out on his helmet.

"No wait!" Osprey yelled all too late. 8 well armed enemies dropped from above and surrounded remen. They didn't notice osprey yet which was good. From a distance, he could see osprey pointing to his staff from around a corner. He was obvious planning something.

Remedanthetr looked around, calm, the balls of his feet starting to glow cyan. "Gentlemen, I don't suppose-" Suddenly, there was a bright cyan flash and bang, and suddenly remedanthetr wasn't there anymore. In his place was two impact marks where his boots were.

I'll take care of some of these basterds for you. They won't know what hit 'em" [b]He attacked, dissipating the cloak and firing at several ships[/b]

The ships went down pretty easy until they quickly caught on and turned towards him. Osprey helped fire at them, but the enemy's firepower was very strong. Only about six ships remained, each being equipped with Gatling guns and missiles. "Keep that up, they're not so strong when you get around them."

He took down another, then two more flew around to him. They unloaded their Gatling guns which were very powerful on his ship. Osprey helped by firing at the rest to keep their attention.

"Dammit. I'll have to get this repaired later." [b]He was able to take out one, then the ship vanished again[/b] "Let's see if this works." [b]After a brief moment, the ship that had just been firing stopped. It began to drift as it seemingly lost all power...[/b]

The ship that lost power kept gliding in a single direction away from them. Meanwhile osprey gunned down another ship.
