THE DOJO
[i] The Dojo. Located on the diverse planet of Tatakai, the Dojo consists of the largest gathering of fighters the universe has ever seen. Men and women from all different cultures, races and worlds come to train, compete and fight together. Many battles have been raged on its soil, but it remains standing. [b][i]Who we are[/i][/b]
[spoiler] The dojo is an ENTRY LEVEL AND ONE OF THE ONLY PUBLIC RP THREADS.
RP is A way of interactive creative writing. Where you can go on adventures, have fights and generally have fun. Think of dungeons and dragons, but its horribly imbalanced since there is not an experience system or dice. Its great!
The Dojo loves different opinions, ideas and writing no matter if you are new to RP(roleplay) or extremely experienced. If you have an opinion to share about how to make the dojo better, contact one of the Sensei's that run the place (We would prefer this rather then excessive and unintelligent shit talking). Every work of writing is appreciated and accepted (shitposts…maybe not so much).

[b][i]How we work(list of Admins included)[/i][/b]
[spoiler] The dojo is run by a group of Sensei’s. These Sensei’s will make up most of the game changing decisions to benefit The Dojo. BUT Everyone's opinion matters a great deal. So the Sensei’s will make poll’s within the group for the members to vote and decide on big issues/ideas. Even then, the sensei’s will inform the group of changes and decisions made.

[b][i]How to PvP[/i][/b]
[spoiler] Player VS Player Is what the dojo is known for. Basically, you can fight each others characters with your own, to see who’s the best or to simply make some kick ass action. Please follow all the rules while you fight, so you can make it as badass as possible.
In order to PvP you must be tested by a sensei, or a designated tester of the dojo. You can find out who is a tester by seeing "How we Work." Also, When you fight another player make sure that you always react to their move. The best way to do this is like this.
>Have a stanza dedicated to your reaction from you opponents last reply.
>Have a stanza dedicated to your attack.
If you completely block another opponents attack, its courteous to not attack them within the same reply.
This way, you’ll never go wrong.

50 Replies[b][u]Slight Return[/u][/b] [spoiler]It's been a little over half a year since I last did RP, so my writing could be a little rough. During that time, [i]Codename MRTR[/i]/[i]A Human Being[/i] has been taking care of most of my RP characters during my absence (Reese, Clara, Wyatt, etc.), so here's a little thanks for making sure they don't die out. Anyway, this is open, and please provide some information--directly through spoilers or indirectly through character interaction--on both your characters and significant events that happened in Dojo RP while I was gone. Thanks.[/spoiler] [i]Location: a small bar, Dojoville Time: 7:30 pm, Saturday[/i] It was a busy night for the Bamboo Barrel bar. As night began to settle in over Dojoville, the bar began to fill with wanderers, travelers, warriors, and other unique characters. Smoke began to rise from the long wooden pipes of old friends as they sat thoughtfully and nostalgically at round tables, talking of old times and memories of the near or distant past. Ale, wine, brandy, and whiskey streamed increasingly from wooden barrels as comrade warriors and soldiers laughed and shouted in celebration or glee. Merchants and travelers of all trades and origins sat along the sides of the bar, discussing matters of profit and smuggling. At the front bar table sat a tall, slender man in a black coat, who was looking in thought and concentration at the table as if there was an invisible object. He was in his casual attire. A man of Latino origin, he had dark brown hair and dark-tan skin, and had some facial hair that formed a mustache and a very faint beard. Inside of his black jacket, he held all sorts of gadgetry and weaponry at hand, just in case he had to use them; hidden on his left side were his pair of returning throwing knives with buzzing saws, and on his right was a rifle that could convert between sniper- and scout-mode, armed with either metal or electric rounds at will. On his wrists were two sets of gauntlets that held the main bulk of his software utilities as well as a nifty pair of electric shotgun rounds. His right hand on a small glass of scotch, he stared into his glass as he watched its liquid ripple in response to the vibrations made on the other end of the bar table, where soldiers slammed its worn wood in a banter. The room became louder, and it was becoming harder to think without distraction. In a half-awkward manner, the man with the glass sighed, then took a small sip of his scotch. This man was Reese Juarez. "Everything is fine," he said, as if in a third-person perspective. "I shouldn't be worried about anything, but I am anyway. After years of running from the SHG and having our homes like the one we had at the Gydaton planet colony blown to smithereens constantly, my daughter Clara and I had finally found a safe and secure home in Dojoville and the Dojo itself. Clara, despite her...differences and limitations, has already become a successful biochemist, and had already made close friends and even found love with Wyatt--who, despite his former affiliation with the SHG, had proven time and time again to be a valuable friend and a good man; if it was anyone that deserved Clara, it would be him. I had found myself a well-paying occupation as a mechanical engineer and weapon designer, as well as a small yet comfortable home that sits at a nice view of the Dojoville valley; I can sit on my front [u]porch[/u] and watch the sun rise or set about the horizon at sea. I have a personal A.I. that I built--Wilson--to keep me company when no one else is home, and he keeps great watch over the house and loved ones while I'm gone; he's always been a great friend and one that I can count on. Amongst all that, Cyan..." Reese stopped for a bit and smiled, then continued "...is finally mine. It's hard to believe that I'm in a relationship with such an extraordinary and beautiful woman; it's...incredible. A beautiful girlfriend, a successful and close daughter who's still alive after all we've been through, a nice home, well-paying job...all that. I shouldn't be worried, but I am. Everything seems to settle in and finally rest when it begins to fall apart again and again. All of these recent events have made the best--" Reese gesticulated with his hands. "--'phase' of my life, and I don't want it to fall apart. It almost always happens. Additionally, I haven't heard anything from Mortar in months, not even a single letter or anything about him from Cyan. It's all unsettlingly calm and peaceful, and everything seems to be going...great, like as if it's all some peaceful buildup to some sort of disaster in a work of fiction. As it is, it probably sounds like I threw a whole wall of random words at you, but you get what I mean, right?" Reese looked up toward the bartender, who was an android that was currently cleaning the inside of an empty glass. It froze as Reese looked at him, looked slowly to its left, then back at Reese. After a few moments, the android went back to cleaning, making digital whistling noises as it did. Subsequently, Reese sighed and took another small sip of his scotch. A few minutes afterward, you take the seat left of Reese and order a drink, taking a glance at the scene about you. Then, Reese hesitantly turns to you: "Oh, uh...hey! Going good?"
