D2 beta is awesome, I'm still getting the game, and I'm still going to love it.
Things are different, yes, isn't that what we wanted?
New game, new mechanics , different abilities.
I swear I love this game but streamers and youtubers have ruined gamer's minds.
Stop listening to the internet rant , and make up your own mind. If you don't like it, don't play it. It's that simple.
For the rest of us, we will be enjoying this game for the long haul. I hope to see you all starside!

I have 3300 hours in destiny, im am not a streamer or a u tuber, the only thing i watch is More Console vids, and he never says anything bad about destiny. I have watched destiny go steadily downhill from nerf 1. Destiny 2 beta is The Master Nerf. Its bad, really bad. I am not saying the retail game wont be better, i truly hope that is. Just that the beta is bad.

No one is complaining because some Youtuber said so. Most problems were being talked about on forums before YouTubers even made videos about it. Get ya head out of your ass

Ill play the game beta blows no skill got a ran out of medals i prob only killed bout 10 the rest i stole from team mates bored

Edited by madbeef: 7/23/2017 9:06:30 AMIt's so similar and so different at the same time. I've already put quite a few hours in. I swear, the more you play, the more things feel right and start to make sense. I've spent a good few hours just exploring nessus. Ive tried each character slowly, one by one, subclass by subclass in the story, strike and crucible. If this is only a snippet, I'm still pretty stoked for the full game. Edit: I do have some reservations with it still, but absolutely no where near as bad as a lot of people seem to be making out.

I made up my own mind it's kinda crap tbh. Everything that made Destiny well Destiny is well and truly gone so is the essence of what was once a great game
-
Well it's also important to see the difference between mindless hating and real criticism. The point of the beta is not necessarily for you to see if you enjoy the game or not (that's part of it I guess) but more importantly to test the game and give the creators feedback. There's a big difference between saying something such as "I don't believe the weapons are very balanced and the PvE feels awfully slow making it not very enjoyable to play" than saying something like "all the weapons are absolute garbage and PvE sucks". Both feedback, but the first one gives reasoning why.

Pve has been neutered thanks to bungies incompetence and failure to separate pvp from pve, going to be same crap this time around as d1, from a pve perspective anyway. Disagree 100%, game has lost all fun on the pve side.
-
I agree 100%. Destiny's PVE is entirely to easy and has never really been a challenge except in year 1 when we first started. (I remember playing the sword of Crota mission about 6 or 8 times before I beat it) I miss the days of games actually having a challenge and gamers playing a game for that challenge. Today these so called gamers are playing the game to see who can be the first one to finish the game like it's some sort of a race. I ran The Inverted Spire yesterday 10 times in a row and I was amazed by how many horrible gamers there are out there. This game isn't hard you just have to play smart, use cover, team work and use you supers at the right time to maximize orbs for your team mates. Out of the 10 times I ran the strike there was only 1 time that I had two decent players and we completed it in just over 18 minutes. The other 9 times I can't tell you how many times I was the only one alive. I for one love the changes to Destiny 2 and I like having at least a little bit of a challenge in PVE. I like most of the changes in PVP as well and for the changes I don't like it's not a big deal I will adapt.

Edited by booooones: 7/23/2017 12:32:25 PMI had a ton of fun. Mainly bc I was in a fire team of four in the casual PVP and we went like 11-0 with about six mercys. Couldn't imagine going in solo. Won't play the beta again tho, I understand the point of a beta, but this one just had too little content.

Absolutely agree

Edited by Warpath73: 7/23/2017 12:34:18 PMYup. It's not perfect obviously, but it's all tweakable numbers, unless someone hates the "double primary" change (I myself like it). D2 is looking like D1 without the story/studio apocalypse that wrecked the campaign.
-
I admit that I was sceptical about the weapon system , but after several hours I have to say that it isn't even that bad after all. I even played & enjoyed PvP again (maybe because I wasn't stickied to death permanently by some tryhards). My only niggle is that maybe the Beta could have offered a bit more PvE-content, but that's only a minor thing.

I played the beta on wednesday for about an hour then went back to The Division. Didn't feel like playing any more of what I saw there. It feels like several things were in a nerfed state so I look forward to seeing the final product. I'm Keeping my preorder.
-
I didn't play beta because I haven't preordered . If you hate it why did you pre-order? Sounds like the people who hate D 1 and now D 2 beta are stuck with a game they dislike. Now they are forced to play something they hate.
-
I will say pvp hit the nail on the head, but that formula doesn't work in pve at all. But I am still excited about the full game, requested the launch and 2days after off just for this damn game
-
best thing i have read all weekend.

Edited by ABeardedViking: 7/23/2017 11:48:32 AMWell said and feel the same way
-
But... I played the beta before watching anything on it and came to the same conclusions...
-
When did people ask for the weapon system to be changed?.... Iv never seen people ask for two primaries and to put snipers, shotguns and fusions in with the heavy section....
-
What are you on about? 1 strike 1 story mission and 2 pvp modes? Bungie could've shown more content than that
-
Edited by Mickey Padge: 7/23/2017 12:48:29 PMNot signed. I didn't want destiny lite.... I wanted destiny 2....

Grimoire under 5000...Stfu

I was fairly happy with it. I felt I didn't have as many wtf deaths in pvp. The team shotting thing was new to me though. The strike was fun and could be run through, which will be good for the 200th time grinding. But it wasn't as exspansive or immersive as the D1 beta. It should have been called a taster not a beta.
-
I have really enjoyed the beta so far but I don't think it's as good as destiny 1. I didn't want the mechanics to change, I didn't want the guns to feel so unstable. All I wanted was a great story, great graphics, and new armour and weapons. So it seems I will be happy with destiny 2, but not overly happy.
