I can understand time played but grimoire, grimoire is just another pointless grind that means nothing.

This. Grimoire of about 4500+ might constitute experience. 5000+ only says to me that you grinded for grimoire, for the bragging rights

Yeah I don't see the point in grinding for grimoire at all, it's just a massive waste of time. For example 100 games of rumble for a card, that's some serious effort especially if you hate the game type.
