An interesting observation about D2 Beta Reviews
So I've read all the reviews and opinions on the D2 Beta so far; I've spotted an interesting trend in the opinions from the ones that are saying it's great and are loving it.
All of these Bungie defenders have sub 5000 Grimoire, No "From the beginning" node unlocked on Y3 MoT and have 1000 Hours or less gameplay time.
You will say Grimoire doesn't mean shit, but it's an uncanny trend that I've spotted.
Any D1 Alpha/Beta Vets with 5500+ Grimoire and 3000 Hours logged have anything good to say about this D2 Beta?
I'm curious...

Right here- it has an expansion feel to veteran players- but also is very new so I am happy with it overall. There are many huge changes and it will force me to change the way I play alltogether

I have enjoyed it. My time wasted on Destiny is around 1,500 hrs and something like 5200 grimoire. I have the emblem from the D1 beta as well. I have average to above average PvP stats over my career (on my Titan, my 4-5 hours on warlock and hunter are a little laughable).

I very much enjoyed the beta. To me it feels as though the base structure of the game has been highly polished, all of the rough quirks we were irritated by have been removed. There are subtle nuances I picked up. Minor things that together add up to a game world I felt very immersed in. The ships look like actual functioning vehicles and not plastic toys. Shaders and mods can be applied to everything. Armor no longer has aggravating perks that would force you to mix and match. For example, no more mismatched elemental benefits. These small quality of life improvements, plus carrying some of the other aspects we appreciated in the first installment... I'm very pleased, and I am looking forward to playing Destiny 2 through to completion.

3 RepliesI have max grimoire and a ton of hours put in . As much as I hate to say it I'm not very impressed with d2 . I appreciate this a beta build and content is limited etc but there seems to be some really obvious issues . Changing the weapon system to me feels like a mistake , it doesn't feel special like it used to . The crucible is essentially dull, abilities take forever to charge , the gun play is kind of bland . Also I hate the power ammo thing .It's annoying as taking away special in d1. In terms of Pve , taking down a strike boss with a primary weapons is kinda silly but the lack of power ammo leaves you in that boat . It just feels dumbed down across the board. I really hope bungie looks at these bits of feedback and reconsiders some of these alterations . On the other hand at least they have tried something new I guess . I'm really in 2 minds about the game now . I'm not going to upgrade to a limited edition version of the game and certainly not going to pre order any dlc at this stage . To be honest I feel pretty gutted about it .

D1 beta player here. I didn't play long as I had to go to work around the time it started. From what I've seen so far, it's alright. I'll probably update this when I get home to play more.

Its exactly what they told us it would be. As a d1 beta player its alot more stable than the first. Yes it seems very linear but its a beta. As a Destiny fan im optimistic that things like the intrinsic perk rolls will change it up quite nicely

I just finished the single player mission and strike. I feel like the game is pretty well balanced as of right now...nothing felt too powerful to me or under powered either. For the most part it reminded me of when we first got to play the original beta...I had no idea what to expect and I was killed by lack of situational awareness than anything else. It feels good, something just feels like it's missing and I can't put my finger on it.

It's fun wish there were more weapons but hey in a month there will be tons.

The visuals are amazing and the gunplay feels good but the jumps are slow our abilities take forever to come back

5 RepliesI don't have 5500+ grimiore but I've played since D1 beta. Personally I think everyone needs to shut their trap, play the beta, mull everything over, wait to play the full game, and then really formulate an opinion.

Ok, i got you. I like it. I like the crucible changes. My k/d sucks, but i have been here since beta, grimoire over 5000, and last time i looked, i have around 2500 hrs played i think.i have done everything in this game, except flawless, obviously. I really hate this forum though. Its the reason i spend most of my time on reddit now. Jesus could come down from heaven, serve you everything you want from a golden fukkin platter, and you dirty bitches would still complain.so good day sir! And i do use that term loosely!

Don't be deceived by my stats. I played the alpha/beta. I switched accounts when I went form ps3 to ps4. I regularly delete characters because I don't like the way they look with their helmets off, or just to help level up a friend when they got the game. I will admit I went away from the game when the taken king came out because I hated that bungie decided to remove y1 content. I just recently got back into.

Not over 5k.... because ghosts and I'm to lazy to get them. Lol! Have played since beta though. So far I have played just the story mission. Love the way it was structured, and the weapons to me felt fine. Except the scout seemed really weak. Graphically, a lot more going on at once. I liked it. Going to hit crucible tonight with my buddies and check it out.

The strike is really good and so is the story mission PvP seems more fun then Destiny 1 but I don't play much PvP anyway so yeah

5200ish grimoire, been playing since alpha. Destiny 2 beta wasn't too bad, I had fun shooting cabal in the face. I enjoyed getting to check out destiny 2 before release, and soon I'll go back to playing other games till September. No real reason to put much thought into the beta beyond that.

2 RepliesI played D1 beta up until some time into TTK then stopped. I never played crucible though because I never found it to be fun. It's not that great here either. So far PvE is pretty fun. The strike feels a little slow paced and definitely needs more enemies throughout. Guns feel good, ammo drops need to be more common. The Boss is one of the best. Very dynamic.
