I just "completed" the beta, the first single player mission is very good and I really enjoyed it. The strike was good fun, and I loved the verticality of it all , and was relieved to see there were no stupid jumps , like the ones that reared their stupid heads in some of the Destiny raids. The scale of the strike was good too, huge open areas and some seriously big drilling machines. I won't touch the PVP, it's just not there for me. I would have liked to have seen more open world areas and the ability to level up , as we were able to in the original Destiny beta's. I assume this beta is to stress test the servers, hence the limited range of activities ? A further point:- The music seems somewhat generic and frankly lacking. Not a game breaker, it was just...un-noticeable, un-remarkable....generic. A terrible thing to say when I read it back as I'm sure someone worked hard on it , but there it is, definitely a step down from original Desitny soundtrack A soundtrack with personality would be nice. That's why I own the original Destiny soundtrack. It was awesome. Other than that, good job Bungie, just that hours worth of gameplay ( the mission and the strike) re-assured me that Destiny gunplay , gameplay and level design is in good hands. Remember, no stupid jumping in the game anywhere please, It ruined the raids in the original Destiny ! The pre-order STAYS. Roll on Sept 6th.
