The Hidden: Ch. 2

An Unknown Guardian's Log 2.0 Days grew into months as the Guardians and the remaining survivors adjusted to their new home, The Iron Temple. Many of the civilians mourned for their loved ones that have died at The Tower from an attack from the Taken. The Guardians grew slightly weaker each day away from the Traveler. The Traveler's dying light was a sign that something was happening to it, and it needed their help. The Speaker informs us on all channels about our incoming mission. Ikora, Zavala, and Cayde are making battle plans as I speak. Eris keeps informing us with cryptic message about a familiar presence with these "purple Taken."Shaxx continues to train the young Guardians, and hopes that they make progress fast. Saladin and Shiro have trouble agreeing on the appropriate way to handle the threat. Even with Eris's negative comments about how we are assessing this threat, I'm definitely sure that what ever the Vanguard is planning will work. Then, not only will we take back the Traveler and the Tower, but we will also know whether or not that our new enemy can be defeated or not.

A Storm Approaches 2.1 The sun now hides behind Felwinter's Peak, and dawn turns into dusk. Daemon-13 walks up the stairs to the Iron Temple. As he is walking, he notices at the corner of his eye - Seraph-7 is now walking in his direction. He tries to elude her, but to no avail. She takes notice of Daemon-13 and runs towards him with delight. Seraph-7: Daemon, there you are! I've been looking all over for you. Daemon-13: Don't you have anything better to do? Seraph-7: Actually, I must head into the Iron Temple to meet with the Vanguard. As soon as Daemon-13 heard this, he slapped his palm against his face. The banging of metal briefly turns a few heads in his direction. They continue up the steps, until they reach the entrance. They are greeted by Tyra Karn as they walk through the halls of The Iron Temple. They finally reach the center of The Iron Temple and find Ikora Rey, Zavala, Cayde-6, and a group of Guardians awaiting orders. Ikora Rey: As some of you know, the Taken have returned, and having taken over the Tower. The source of these new Taken is unknown but - Cayde-6: Okay, let's cut to the chase. We've assembled you all here to breach The Tower in multiple fireteams of 3. Each fireteam will secure one area outside of The Tower. Once you have the surrounding area of The Tower secure, half of the fireteams will breach the Tower and eliminate the Taken, while the others outside defend. Get it? Got it? Good. Zavala: We will begin the attack shortly. Suit up and prepare yourself. Ikora Rey: And may your path through the Darkness lead you to the Light. Cayde-6: Now get on out of here and make the Vanguard smile. The group of Guardians all exit the Iron Temple, including Daemon-13 and Seraph-7. Some of them did test runs on their ships, while others practiced against each other in the Crucible in some remote locations that were secured by the Vanguard. Daemon-13 climbed to the top of Felwinter's peak where he and another Guardian set up camp, and Seraph-7 followed. Seraph-7: Can you believe it?! Our first real mission together! Aren't you just excited! Daemon-13: You're not going anywhere. This mission could get you killed, and I might not be there to protect you. And plus, you're a rookie. Seraph-7: Oh... um... okay then. Daemon-13 gets his equipment and his weapons from his arsenal and climbs back down while mumbling. Daemon-13: I can finally look out for myself and concentrate. Seraph-7's curiosity gets the best of her, and she follows Daemon-13. Daemon-13 walks to his ship, The Waning Star. It is said to belong to a Guardian that started the new generation of Iron Lords. He had gone by the name of Spark-96. He disappeared, only leaving his ship behind. He was gone. Gone, but not forgotten.
