[b]Chapter Forty[/b]
The group found themselves tucked behind the mountain ridgline so that the rocky face of the mountain face would hide them from the Coldbourne forces. As they looked over the city, they saw that it was now cold and dark. It seemed that Tywin had built factories across the mountains and that the city had expanded significantly, but it no longer had any life to it. The city outskirts were lined with buildings that were higher up on the mountain but still below the group. The city was otherwise very grid based in its design. There was a large area in the centre of it where it looked like people were suppose to gather. This was also where the largest homes and buildings were. The streets went in columns or rows from this point, making it efficient in design.
Looming over the city was Coldbourne castle and its massive bridge. Its shadow came down on the populace as a light snowfall began to come down. The palace seemed darker and less full of light with its exterior looking cold and gloomy.
The group remained where they were. They were waiting on Falk's word after all. But then, they heard his voice through their helmets.
"Alright...time to make some noise fellas."

"Stupid magicians-" Ari muttered as Tubbs teleported into the city immediately. "Worthless technicians-" She gritted her teeth as Steel gave commands to his A.I. "And then there's-" "Shut up!" Isaac yelled over his communication systems, as he descended towards the city, with a silent Arianna behind him.

As Isaac jumped down, he saw that there were no soldiers on his street. At least to his knowledge. He saw some civilians looking through their windows at him, and as soon as he would glance towards them they would quickly close their blinds or their curtains and disappear from his view.

Isaac remained silent as he kept his weaponry undrawn, swooping into the alleyways of the city and attempting to sneak up on the Coldbourne's forces. Arianna on the other hand began to stay outside, searching for zones of combat that she could assault.

[spoiler]if possible keep them together. Will make life a lot easier lol[/spoiler] Ari saw that there was a serious amount of action going on in the city square. There...was also a dragon. So that was fun. Isaac on the other hand spotted a group of soldiers down the next street. They were armed and ready for combat as they searched the area.

"Manya, when we get down there, start setting up traps, walls, anything that will funnel troops to the center square," Enforcer Steel stood up, unholstering his rifle. The jets on his greaves revved up for a moment, before sending him down towards the village.

As he landed, he found himself immediately beset by gunfire from the Coldbourne forces. The battle had begun that much was for sure. Eight white coloured body armoured soldiers fired their weapons at the man, but his suits shields took the hits. The figures were just down the street, and they hadn't gone for cover.

"Anake, set up holo-decoys!" Steel latched onto a trooper with his Grapple arm, laying bursts of fire down range with his rifle.

[spoiler]can you introduce these people a little more maybe? Don't know who they are[/spoiler] The man was choked with the hook and another man dropped as Steel fired. The men sprinted for the alleyways, firing at him and shooting at his shields resistance as they did.

[spoiler]Ananke is Steel's counterterror drone, about the size of a potato chip.[/spoiler] Leaping to the left side, Steel headed into an alleyway. Manya dropped down behind him, beginning to draw in the air with some form of magic. Out in the street, several holograms of the Enforcer had manifested, fanning outward into the alleys.[spoiler]The holograms can't deal damage, but they can simulate tracer bullets.[/spoiler]

Edited by Inflatablepants: 7/17/2017 12:38:16 AM[spoiler]Dont know what those are...[/spoiler] The soldiers fired at the holograms vainly but took cover significantly more behind the alleyways. This slowed them down to a crawl which would allow Steel to escape.

Popping out of the alleyway, Enforcer Steel pressed a small button on the side of his rifle. The weapon whistled for a moment, before quieting and saying in a monotone: "Trans-dimensional coils not detected," Swearing, he dived back into the alley, "Manya, seal it off!" The young woman nodded, the blue mesh she had constructed transmuting into a solid wall over the entrance.

The ice sealed the way, and the soldiers ran at it. Bullets fired at the ice but to no avail. It seemed that the man and the woman had gotten away.

Tubbs opened a portal right in the middle of the city and another in front of him. He made the blade go out on his suit and held it in front of the portal, then made the one in the city suck stuff in. "Corpse kababs are still a thing right?"

Edited by Inflatablepants: 7/15/2017 9:28:55 PMAs soon as he did this, a soldier flew out of the portal in front of him. He fell into Tubbs but fell back because of the suit of armour. His chest was bloodied as he fell down, gagging and choking. He reached for something on his right shoulder, something attached to his bandolier.

"Stop! You have committed crimes against Skyrim and its people. What's say you in your defense?" As Tubbs said that, he shot the blade at the guy's neck.

The man went limp, but his hand pressed against whatever was on his shoulder. A red beeping light began to flash on his shoulder as blood flowed around him. Suddenly, something else was coming through the portal...

Tubbs picked the blade back up and put it in his wrist as fast as he could before running. "IT'S A BOMB! EVERYBODY GET DOWN!" He dove towards the ground. In all the confusion, he didn't notice something was coming through the portal.

Suddenly a massive figure landed outside the portal. It was a man, clearly, but it was a man wearing a massive set of white coloured power armour. Straight out of Fallout. He took his LMG off his back and took aim at Tubbs immediately.

"Any chance you're just a civilian cosplaying and that's all fake?" Tubbs rolled to the right before getting up and shooting the LMG with the grappling hook, then pulling with all his strength to disarm the man.

The grappling hook was effective in holding the gun, but this man had a robot suit that held it firmly. He yanked his gun back, and Tubbs was sent off his feet towards him.

Tubbs flew right into the man before hitting the ground and standing up, holding his head. "Definitely not cosplay..." He then stabbed the blade into the LMG(part where the bullets come out, the little hole thing) so it couldn't shoot. "Also, I'm going to need this back." He retracted the grappling hook.

[spoiler]...the barrel Tubbs. The barrel...[/spoiler] The armoured figure let go of his gun as there was no point using it at all in its hindered state. Rather, he grabbed Tubbs by the throat, and sent the man flying though the portal. Tubbs felt himself crash into the ground, and as he looked around, he saw that he was in the centre square. Completely surrounded by Coldbourne soldiers.

You shouldn't have... really..." He called the blade back to him and closed the portals. "Well, I'd love to stay and chat but... I have to kill you all." He tapped a button on his pants and opened a portal under him, then another behind a soldier. When he got out, he stabbed the soldier in the neck with the suit blade and held his body as a shield.

However as he did this, he felt shots rip into his shields on his back. The armours shield protected him of course but it would last long under gunfire. Tubbs saw his situation then. Thirty men were in front of him, all armed to the teeth. Four of these men were in power armour. There was a large fountain in the centre of the square that could be used for cover. There were also a few cars around this area as well. Behind him were A dozen men, all armed with assault rifles.
