"...Continue." The elvish man spoke, before engaging combat with the knightess once more. ---------------------------- It had been quite a long day. Some distance away from the Dojo, within the depths of the forest, a small encampment had been set up, including a dusty, twenty-by-twenty foot plain arena, the flooring dirty with cleaned earth and dust. Beside it were a few benches for watching, some waters.. simple. Gideon and Annabelle had been dueling nonstop, though they had stopped sparing and sat down for a moment, the spectator Victoria nodded as she sighed. She would have to check up on Vance soon, as she watched the helmeted knightess and the elven mage laugh as they conversed. ...Maybe a little longer, she thought. ((Open, incredibly bored.. bleh.))

  • Moving around the trees as he spotted them he began moving forward before leaning up against a tree. A young man about 5'11 with black hair and green eyes watching. On his shoulder a red and orange feathered bird with yellow eyes. Gazing over the combat with curiosity he just stood there not saying anything. His eyes glancing between each of the three before looking at the bird next to him. As if having a conversation he nodded at the bird before returning his gaze. His stance didn't seem aggressive, but it was obvious that could quickly change if needed.

  • There wasn't a necessary need for aggression as the armored woman had looked over from the dueling between the robed mage and the particularly skilled knightess, her white hair parted from her eyes before she looked back at the two, speaking up in a soft, yet powerful voice. "Watching Anna and Gideon duel, aren't you? They're both skilled fighters. Gideon could probably outsmart me, but Anna.. Anna is just as intelligent and strategic. They're both amazing in melee, though.. Gideon's won more." That was given away, as Gideon suddenly tripped Anna and aimed his staff at her neck, before helping her up.

  • He nods looking at the armored lady. A faint smile as he looks at the bird. It opening its wings as in triumph when Gideon won the duel just then. Shaking his head as he chuckles. "Yeah we the two of us just had a bet on who would win..... looks like I lost this once." He shrugs as he pats the bird on the head. Looking at the lady as he looks around before returning his gaze back to the duel. "How about you? You know these two?" He says glancing back to her his green eyes looking over her armor. From this position she could see two hidden knives underneath a jacket. Black hilts with a interesting feather looking sheath. Pressed up against the tree was another weapon a great sword. Not as easy to hide with its silver hilt and size.

  • "I'm not a betting woman. I learned the hard way to not bet on things. I've only known Annabelle and Gideon for some time now, a couple of days. Gideon has helped care for a dear friend. Annabelle is so incredibly humble to everyone that she meets. They are both excellent individuals, at least to one such as myself. ...I think that you'd like Gideon. He's.. more active and outgoing than Annabelle. Anna's shy, that's that." Victoria had explained calmly, looking back at the two as they stopped dueling and began to relax.

  • "Shy can be cute, but I guess that depends on the person." He looks at her as he shrugs. Seeing that the duel has ended his eyes gazing up around the encampment as if curious. "So how about you? Are you here to watch the duel or?" He says as he slowly begins approaching the other two. Walking backwards so he keeps looking at her as to not be rude.

  • "Cute? Ha. Anna's.. recovering, from a relationship, let's put it at that. I was merely watching the dueling. My, erm.. friend is safe, so I decided to leave him for a bit to watch the two." The woman muttered "Vance.." before sighing, clasping her armored hands together. It was as if she was praying. "I only hope that he recovers soon. He.. He sacrificed himself for me. Something that I can't forget."

Xeno paused as he heard the name and watched her pray. Stopping is movement as he stared at her closing his eyes. "I'm sorry to hear that someone close to you got hurt. I hope he recovers soon." Scratching the back of his head as he sits down next to her. Looking back at the two as he looks a little confused on what to say. "Uh... I'm not very good at social things. But I think... this is where I would ask if you want to talk about it?" He blushes as he glances back at her. He obviously had no idea what he was doing but he was doing his best. "I mean if you want and stuff."

  • "Yes. It, as in.. no, not heresy." Victoria sighed to herself, holding her head with both hands as she closed her sapphire blue eyes. A few seconds after, she spoke up. "...Love. Romance. That.. sort of thing. Vance has always been kind to me. Vance has sacrificed himself and even saved my life from certain death. He's always so humble and quiet, yet.. so protective of his friends. ...What do I do?"

  • He looks confused on what to do as he glances around. Patting her gently on the back as if he unsure what to do. "Well.... I mean why not tell him how you feel...? Love is complicated but.... the best way to solve things would be to face it head on... right?" He moves his hand away as he scratches the back of his head. The bird seeming to shake its head as he stretches. "Sorry I'm not more help I'm not the greatest at these things.."

  • "I would. If he wasn't knocked out." Victoria rose up and brushed herself off, heaving out a deep sigh. She looked back at Xeno with a simple smile, though a sadder one at that. "Thank you, though. For attempting to help. Is there.. anything else that you'd want to speak about? Unless you want to talk to Gideon and Anna."

  • He looks back to the to then back to her. His eyes seeming conflicted as he seems to want to talk to the other two but not leave her. "I mean will you be okay..." The bird pecks him gently on the side of the head as if saying it's okay. His eyes looking down to the ground as if he is still unsure. "I'm Xeno by the way. And the bird on my shoulder is Minerva."

  • Of course the Trio and their site would not go unnoticed, especially by the keen eye of a particular wizard in his magic tower. The Tower was hundreds of yards away, and inside was the epic level wizard, Elsimore. He was an old fossil of a person, pale as a ghost, a snow white beard reaching down to his lower abdomen. He wore the most typical getup a wizard could get, a 3 layered robe, with stars designed all over them, and a conical hat with the same design. He wielded a simple blue staff with a glowing orb. Elsimore cleared his throat and enchanted his voice, so that it could reach the campsite. "WHAT IN THE GODS NAMES ARE YOU WHIPPERSNAPPERS DOING IN MY FOREST!? DID THAT RASCAL MERLIN TELL YOU OF THIS PLACE?! I OUGHT TO SIC MY BEARSILISK ON YOU BUNCH OF HOOLIGANS FOR DISTURBING THE PEACE AND QUIET HERE." It seemed the Wizard was...quite angry. But more pressing matters were at hand...What the hell was a Bearsilisk?

  • The only one that immediately reacted to the loud screeches of the wizard overhead was the elven man, as he flipped over the wooden fencing and began to travel towards the tower in the distance. He was a typical filthy mage: bounded within a dark green robe, with a coat of dark brown dragonhide encasing his centermass, his hood hung loosely upon his back, only bounded by the black pauldrons of his armor. His head was shaven bald, his facial structure sharp and intelligent - yet with him, he held a bag of.. goods? Odd.

  • As Gideon approached the tower, he had heard the whined roars of...something. Was this the Bearsalisk he mentioned? Chained up nearby the tower and blindfolded was a serpentine animal, looking further up revealed...fur? It was a weird chimera of a bear and a snake. Next to said Bearsalisk was multiple stone golems, handsome faces carved out beautifully like a Greek statue. They had to be no larger than 8 feet in height, a magic aura was felt by Gideon, clearly this was no low tier wizard. Elsimore looked down from the highest tower window. "IF YOU'RE GOING TO MEET A WIZARD AT LEAST DRESS WITH SOME CLASS AND FASHION SENSE. THAT OUTFIT MAKES ME WANT TO VOMIT UP BILE. YOU MAGES HAVE NO SENSE OF FASHION OR ANYTHING, WITH YOUR 'OH LOOKEE ME I CAN MAKE SPARKS FLY! NEVERMIND THE PUTRID OUTFIT IM WEARING IM MAKING SPARKS EVEN A APPRENTICE COULD MAKE!'" It was clear this...wizard had a deep hatred for Mages and an obsession with people's clothing choices. I suppose that's what happens when you're all alone in a dark, cold tower. You go insane.

  • Gideon had remained silent, looking down at his apparel for a moment before shrugging. While he was impressed by the golems and.. whatever the creature was that was chained up to the tower, he was confused about the wrongdoings of his apparel. "...May you teach me of the proper way to dress for the occasion, if I was to meet another wizard? I would doubt that others would be so.. fashionably excellent, as you are, but.. it would be worth learning." ...The elf had taken the offensive language of the wizard quiet well, for a filthy mage in the company of a Harry Potter wizard.

  • I HEARD THAT. ...Anyways. Elsimore did a finger gesture and a triple layered wizards robe and a flat, box like hat with an ostrich's feather attached to it was summoned with a literal *poof!* He then casted another spell that seemingly slowed its descent with another gesture. Surely he was a master at Conjuring and Transmutation to say the least. "Those robes are suitable! They're tripled layered because the tower can get rather cold!"

  • "...I see." Gideon merely nodded as he studied the robes, before shrugging and allowing himself to be engulfed by the quite thicc robes, even placing the flat hat upon his bald head as he approached the door and knocked upon it's wooden (or metal, whatever) surface. In truth, Gideon found some amusement with the wizard. But.. he had brought "items", that may persuade him to become a potential ally. Even a friend.

  • The wooden door had swung open, revealing the 1st floor out of 7. It was a casual room, with wizardy furniture around it. Multiple fur pelts were hung up on the wall along with a bear skin carpet, rather tacky really. To the left was an enchanted fireplace, constantly aflame without needing Elsimore's attention. To the right was a spiral staircase that had circled the wall, leading up to the second floor. Then a barely audible chittering was heard...as if it was some sort of insectoid below Gideon. Gods only know what the wizard kept in the cellar. The old fossil of the wizard descended the staircase and into the den, wearing the stereotypical getup. He adjusted his spectacles and looked at the Mage. "You look far more better now. Now tell me, why duel out in this forest? I mean the tower should've been obvious that somebody lived here! Nonetheless a rather...annoyed wizard. I ought to make your life hell with petty spells like Arberun would, but I'm willing to forgive, as long as you keep that racket down. I'm trying to study the magical properties of spider silk. Speaking of which, I must attend to it before I blow up the tower again. You may observe if you want, I don't care." Thus the wizard rushed up the staircase with surprising speed for an old man to check on his experiment.

  • "The Dojo is currently a.. particularly lackluster place to decide dueling, if I must be honest. The members are a true mess, it has been targeted and ruined countless times, and most members think of "duels" as "gunfights". It isn't a suitable local. As for Annabelle's location.. it tends to be quieter, though our dueling appeared to be.. bothersome. My sincerest apologies, but I do believe that I have items which would assist in.. concentration." Gideon motioned to the bag slung upon his shoulder. Whatever happened to be inside.. seemed nice.

  • "Oh please, I already have stuff that helps in my studies, both in magical and bodily effects!" The wizard had replied, thankfully the tower hadn't blown up. But he did make a major discovery. "Yes! I did it! Spider silk does conduct magic well! Take that Wizards Council!" He exclaimed, it seemed that this 'Wizards Council' had been wrong about spider silk of all things. "But...*ahem* anyways. I already have stuff that helps in my research. Diamond Dust. It is apparently worth a lot, but I, Elsimore the Wizard do not need such petty things such as 'currency'!"

  • "Does your supplies include cannabis of elven origin? Grown within the Apeiros Plains by the elves. Some of it manages to be enchanted, though this batch that I have brought is.. natural." Gideon untied the hefty bag to allow the wizard to look within it's depths: it was indeed cannabis, with a mixture of forest green and light cyan.

  • A little while into their duels, Vio had taken to watching. And she would recognize Annabelle's movements; after all, Vio would never be able to forget the way a certain somebody moved and fought. But she shook her head; Anri had gone Hollow, and Vio knew that. It was impossible, and yet the movements were so similar, Vio could not help but stare at their duel from a distance.

  • The ending of the duel may have given it away: the mage twirled his obsidian black staff like a spear, forcing the knightess back to the corner of the dirt arena, the only thing that stopped her from falling over being a wooden fence that circulated around the entire circle of an arena. As she was cornered, the elf saw this as an opportunity, bursting forwards and flipping his staff to the sharpened end and dropping to one knee, stabbing forwards towards the knightess' unguarded left shoulder. Utilizing her shield, the knightess would merely have to block, but she took it further than a simple block: she swung the shield to her left, dragging the spear to the side and lodging it into the wooden fence. The mage panicked before the pommel of the knight's straight sword - still oddly familiar, with a dull golden hilt and a completely straight, doublebladed edge for the sword - slammed into his cheek, knocking him back. "...H-Ha. Well done." The elvish man laughed through his pain, as the knight worryingly dropped her shield and sheathed her sword before helping him up to his feet. "Does it hurt?" She questioned in such a soft, quiet voice, as the man merely shook his head and laughed calmly. He left the arena, leaving the knight to clean off her sword and shield.

  • The straight sword was also far too recognizable; it was messing with Vio's head, truly. She took a deep breath, letting out a sigh; supposing that it couldn't hurt to talk to the knight. And as such, the illusionist would walk up to the knight. "That was a good finish, miss," Vio complimented truthfully as she approached the knight. There was a huge amount of self-control in her voice, her movement, her expression... it was as though she was barely stopping herself from just... punching the helmet off.

  • The knightess froze into place for a moment, deciding to turn to face the young woman whom had spoken. Of course, "Anne" was worried. "Anne" was terrified. Why wouldn't she be? Her best friend, the woman she loved, and the one whom she had left for a dying fire. It made her feel sick in her stomach, as if she could rip off her helmet and puke in her own self disgust. It was horrible, to her at least. "...Thank you, my lady.." She spoke once more, her voice muffled by the barbuta helmet upon her head. The elven man looked over, recognizing the expressions with both almost immediately before leaving. He even beckoned to the other woman to look away, bringing her into a conversation.
