Everything around the Dojo universe has happened differently.
Here, the Mandalorians pacified the Empire by destroying the Death Star(s) and the Rebellion never really grew as powerful as it could have been.
As of now, the Empire Is most trapped in their core systems. With the Mandalorians keeping them there
So, if you said that they came from a different universe where the Mandalorian take over didn't happen, that would Make more sense
