"Bloodlust – the disease that makes us the monsters we are known to be; it is what wipes away the last of our humanity." -Daniele Lanzarotta
Hunger.... He had never known such hunger.... Blood.... He had never had such a lust for blood.... He had never had such a need for flesh.... The memories that were not his flooded through him. Blood and gore; war and death. The screams of pain and rage, flashes of blood and anguished, deformed faces.... And fighting. Constant fighting, constant death... the reason for it was lost in the simple need for blood. Blood....
"Blood...." Ike's voice was soft, murmured to himself. He slowly roamed the streets of Dojoville, his stance slouched, his walking almost drunken. There was something... off, about the thirteen year old boy. His shaggy, blond hair was as unkept as usual, his pale skin as dirty as usual. His clothing, a simple, white t-shirt along with black shorts, was relatively clean, while his bare feet were the opposite; dirty, soot-covered, and scratched up. But what was different about Ike were his ice-blue eyes. While normally, they were passive, curious, and innocent... his eyes were now filled with bloodlust and anguish. Filled with the war-torn memories of someone else. Then, another thing became apparent; on his right forearm, a mark, rune, or brand–whatever one might call it. Its pattern was intricate, strange, and almost sinister–but what truly was strange about it was the fact that it glowed an unnatural, crimson red. The night sky was obscured by clouds, and the usual lights of Dojoville ignited the town in artificial light. Due to the complete darkness of the sky, the time was difficult to tell; late, to say the very least. Cars zoomed through the streets, headlights shining light upon the many shady alleyways of Dojoville, and the sirens of police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances blared through the night. It was a perfect time for crime. One such criminalistic scenario was in one of the many alleyways of a more dormant street; much less active than the others. And damn, if it wasn't strange. In the very back of the alleyway was an infant, cold, dirty, and naked–and, of course, wailing at the top of its lungs. And approaching the baby was somebody who could have been its mother. The mother was crazed in appearance; wild, brunette hair, blood-covered skin, and bloodshot eyes. In her right hand, she held a serrated knife, its blade stained with blood; the mother's own blood. And slowly, the mother approached the infant, raising the knife.... The infant's cries were soon cut off as the blade crushed through its soft skin and skull, lodging in its still-developing brain and allowing blood to burst from the infant's head, blood mixed with brain fluid and fragments of the infant's now shattered skull. The mother's breathing was heavy, shallow. She slowly stood up, slowly looking around... to see Ike, staring at her with his own crazed, blue eyes. In the darkness of the alleyway, the boy's crimson mark could be considered truly terrifying. "Oh, ma'am... what an atrocious act you've just committed. An act the law would certainly not appreciate, no?" Ike lifted his right arm. His hand seemed to close on something, something like the grip of a sword. Then, he pulled; and coming from seemingly nowhere was a blade of bone and leather. The sword's bone blade was about a foot and a half in length, its guard and pommel made of the same stuff, while the grip was covered in leather. The pommel was in the shape of a miniature skull... and engraved upon the skull's forehead was the same rune that was branded on Ike's forearm, albeit much smaller. This mark, too, glowed crimson red; the sign of its activation. As the boy drew his blade, the woman's eyes widened in fear. She slowly backed up deeper into the alleyway; a truly stupid move, really. But Ike blocked the alleyway's exit, and he knew that fact. The boy grinned wildly, dashing forward with unexpected speed; suddenly, the woman would find the blade of the sword lodged into her abdomen, penetrating straight through her body, with the tip coming out on the other side. The woman fell to her knees, and as she did so, a strange... dust seemed to exit her body. The dust was red in color, and was, quite simply, the woman's life force, her living energy. It floated from the woman to the rune on Ike's sword, causing his skin to seemingly glow crimson. He let out a low laugh, muscles tensing as the woman's life force flowed through him; invigorating him, boosting his strength, agility, senses, durability.... "... oh, Cain, accept this energy that I do not quite need as of now... I give you energy, and in turn, I may feast...." He spoke as he stared up at the night sky. He looked back down at the woman's body, the corners of his lips rising in an almost feral grin. He slowly went to his knees, muscles tensing up as he grabbed the corpse's neck. With pure, brute strength, he tore the neck away from the corpse's torso, creating a loud sound; a sound of bones breaking and skin tearing, while blood literally exploded from the woman, splattering upon Ike's shirt and the alleyway's walls. The boy let out an almost maniacal laugh, raising the woman's head and neck up in triumph, before bring the neck to his mouth. Then, he began to eat; his canines tearing into the still-warm flesh of the recently deceased woman, bloodying his chin and satisfying his hunger. ——————————————— The dojo courtyard was bathed in noon sunlight, not a cloud in the sky. Within the courtyard were a few individuals, looking for a good fight. Roxy, a ginger woman with 20 years of age. Sheathed at her waist were two swords; a 24 inch saber, and a katana slightly longer than a meter. On her back was a claymore, precisely a meter in length. She was clearly a dexterity-based, melee fighter. A little ways to her right was Cael, also a ginger with 20 years of age; Roxy's twin brother, in fact. He wore his black mage robes, and held a long, thin staff, with an ovular gem of some sorts at its head. He was clearly a mage–an elementalist, at that. And, for you OP AF badasses, a third stood in the courtyard; Cyra. Plasma pistols, a railgun, a vibroblade, a cybernetic arm, and kinetikinesis. Whoop-dee-doo.
Both are open. The first is whatever, the second is FITE FITE FITE—
• Ike was relentless, immediately following up while Ian was backing away with two large steps forward and a quick, diagonal slash, the upper point of the slash on Ike's left, lower on his right.

  • Ian blocked and partied the slash with ease, sidestepping and stabbing at Ike's leg.

  • Ike simply raised his leg, stomping on the rapier as it went under his foot, then proceeded to aim a stab with his blade towards Ian's chest.

  • Ian let the sword go, stepping back and dodging Ike's stab. "For a 13 year old kid, you're good." Ian drew an actual sword out of a sheath now, readying a defensive stance.
I already have my strategy.
• That was when the crimson rune on the First Blade seem to glow a little brighter. It wasn't by much, but Ian would slowly feel his life force ebbing away; having not been wounded, it was barely noticeable, but it was happening. If he were to concentrate, he would see a strange red mist traveling from his body to Ike's, entering his own body. Ike grinned wildly, rushing at Ian once more. This time, he feinted a stab, then threw a punch towards Ian, aimed at his gut.

  • Ian sidestepped from the fake stab, but just as easily blocked the punch by tilting his swords edge so that it would cut right into Ike's hand.

  • When Ike's hand met the sword, as Ian was simply holding it instead of attack, Ike literally bashed it to the side. Ike's hand was indeed cut, yet he took no notice, and the massive amount of life force he had drained from the woman he killed would rapidly heal the wound, anyhow. With Ian's sword bashed to the side, Ike went for a stab to Ian's gut; his riposte, per say.

  • Ian let the sword pass through his abdomen, and smiled. Ike was within his reach, and he wasted no time in shoving his left hand forward and into Ike's eyes. With his other hand, he grabbed Ike's neck and threw him into the wall. As he gazed upon Ike's bloodied face, he pulled out the First Blade and tossed it behind him.

  • Ian, in fact, didn't get to wall slam Ike or disarm him, because he had a sword penetrating his abdomen and destroying his spine. Ike the pushed forward, shoving his crippled opponent down to the ground, and pulling out his blade. He then proceed to stab Ian's chest, purposely avoiding his heart and going for his lungs. He pulled out, and stabbed again, and again, and again... until Ian's chest was littered with stab wounds that went all the way through him. Ike laughed maniacally as Ian's blood stained his hands and blade, before leaning down and placing his mouth against Ian's neck. He then bit down, crushing his skin and neck. Using nothing but the raw power of his jaws and sharpness of his teeth, he tore out Ian's throat, sending blood splattering all over the street as the cannibal swallowed. Basking in his victory feast.

  • Vel slithered into the alleyway. He was a strange sight indeed. Half man, half... snake-thing. His top half was that of an ordinary Caucasian male. Slightly tanned skin, brown hair, thick tan coat over a red t-shirt, a nice leather knapsack. His bottom half was... strange. It was like a snake's tail, yet it was smooth, like a salamander's. It was a deep purple color, speckled with lighter splotches. The tail was at least twice as long as the man from the waist up, probably more. It was hard to see, but his fingertips were in fact also purple, bleeding down into his hands like an infection of sorts. A sword gleamed at his hip, jagged and serrated, gently glowing purple. "What do we have here?..." He said, hand straying to his sword.

  • Ike looked up from his meal, dropping the severed head to turn and face Vel. His chin and lips were drenched in blood, while his teeth were completely bloodstained; shown by his creepily wide grin. "... a simple meal. Would you like a bite?"

  • Fulmen walked up to Vance. He had dark gray armor and face paint with yellow streaks. His wrist guards had extra strong armor and glowing orbs in them. Other than that, it didn't seem like he was very much armed. "Looking for a fight?"

  • A woman stepped into the area of the three, preoccupied in thought it seemed. The fiery haired woman wore normal clothing, some plating of an unknown kind, and she was what was considered thick, curvy, but tall and muscular. The woman stared into the ground, absorbed in some form of thought as she passed through the area.

Xeno walks forward looking at the four. A smile appearing on his face as he sees two people he knows. A pause in his eyes as he can see there combat like stance. His green eyes looking between the two as a wolf reaches his side. A teasing smirk on his face as he looks between them. "Well hello you two, you and your friends making a fight club here? Don't worry I won't tell." His posture seemed playful, although upon careful looking they could see his muscles tense as if ready to go at any minute. His hands nearby the knives on his sides as he lets out a deep breath. His sword on his back shifting positions. Looking down briefly to check something, he knew that his current nice red shirt with interesting decals of dragons was about to be ruined. Well at least from the way things were looking. "So I know Roxy and Cael but you two are new so I think I'm gonna call you Bone breaker." He says pointing to Vance and then turning to the other man with a smile and a look of sarcastic thinking. "And you... I'm just gonna call you boom stick because it feels right." He said with a stretch, the boy was obviously trying to mess with them. But throughout it all his eyes never left them. His wolf like companion looking them over in a defensive position as if ready to go at a moments notice.

  • Cael walked up to Xeno, a slight smile on his face. He decided that for this fight, he would practice a more... mobile way of using his elemental magic, and for that, he would need to lay his staff on the ground. Excitement in his sky blue eyes, Cael nodded at his opponent. "No hard feelings towards the winner, alright?" He requested, lowering himself into a battle position.

  • "Nah I wouldn't want any hard feelings. That would mean one of us would hold back and that's no fun." He says as Minerva turns into a white ball. Her body entering his as the flames create a Phoenix tattoo on his left arm. His stance shifting as both his hands become fists. His eyes gazing over at him with a smile. "Well lets see what you can do I have been curious for a while now."

  • Cael's smile grew very slightly, and the muscles in his right arm tensed up. He made a rising motion with his hand, palm facing upwards. From the courtyard's ground, tendrils of earth shot up to wrap around Xeno's leg, growing to bury his shins and calves entirely in solid rock.
