"Bloodlust – the disease that makes us the monsters we are known to be; it is what wipes away the last of our humanity." -Daniele Lanzarotta
Hunger.... He had never known such hunger.... Blood.... He had never had such a lust for blood.... He had never had such a need for flesh.... The memories that were not his flooded through him. Blood and gore; war and death. The screams of pain and rage, flashes of blood and anguished, deformed faces.... And fighting. Constant fighting, constant death... the reason for it was lost in the simple need for blood. Blood....
"Blood...." Ike's voice was soft, murmured to himself. He slowly roamed the streets of Dojoville, his stance slouched, his walking almost drunken. There was something... off, about the thirteen year old boy. His shaggy, blond hair was as unkept as usual, his pale skin as dirty as usual. His clothing, a simple, white t-shirt along with black shorts, was relatively clean, while his bare feet were the opposite; dirty, soot-covered, and scratched up. But what was different about Ike were his ice-blue eyes. While normally, they were passive, curious, and innocent... his eyes were now filled with bloodlust and anguish. Filled with the war-torn memories of someone else. Then, another thing became apparent; on his right forearm, a mark, rune, or brand–whatever one might call it. Its pattern was intricate, strange, and almost sinister–but what truly was strange about it was the fact that it glowed an unnatural, crimson red. The night sky was obscured by clouds, and the usual lights of Dojoville ignited the town in artificial light. Due to the complete darkness of the sky, the time was difficult to tell; late, to say the very least. Cars zoomed through the streets, headlights shining light upon the many shady alleyways of Dojoville, and the sirens of police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances blared through the night. It was a perfect time for crime. One such criminalistic scenario was in one of the many alleyways of a more dormant street; much less active than the others. And damn, if it wasn't strange. In the very back of the alleyway was an infant, cold, dirty, and naked–and, of course, wailing at the top of its lungs. And approaching the baby was somebody who could have been its mother. The mother was crazed in appearance; wild, brunette hair, blood-covered skin, and bloodshot eyes. In her right hand, she held a serrated knife, its blade stained with blood; the mother's own blood. And slowly, the mother approached the infant, raising the knife.... The infant's cries were soon cut off as the blade crushed through its soft skin and skull, lodging in its still-developing brain and allowing blood to burst from the infant's head, blood mixed with brain fluid and fragments of the infant's now shattered skull. The mother's breathing was heavy, shallow. She slowly stood up, slowly looking around... to see Ike, staring at her with his own crazed, blue eyes. In the darkness of the alleyway, the boy's crimson mark could be considered truly terrifying. "Oh, ma'am... what an atrocious act you've just committed. An act the law would certainly not appreciate, no?" Ike lifted his right arm. His hand seemed to close on something, something like the grip of a sword. Then, he pulled; and coming from seemingly nowhere was a blade of bone and leather. The sword's bone blade was about a foot and a half in length, its guard and pommel made of the same stuff, while the grip was covered in leather. The pommel was in the shape of a miniature skull... and engraved upon the skull's forehead was the same rune that was branded on Ike's forearm, albeit much smaller. This mark, too, glowed crimson red; the sign of its activation. As the boy drew his blade, the woman's eyes widened in fear. She slowly backed up deeper into the alleyway; a truly stupid move, really. But Ike blocked the alleyway's exit, and he knew that fact. The boy grinned wildly, dashing forward with unexpected speed; suddenly, the woman would find the blade of the sword lodged into her abdomen, penetrating straight through her body, with the tip coming out on the other side. The woman fell to her knees, and as she did so, a strange... dust seemed to exit her body. The dust was red in color, and was, quite simply, the woman's life force, her living energy. It floated from the woman to the rune on Ike's sword, causing his skin to seemingly glow crimson. He let out a low laugh, muscles tensing as the woman's life force flowed through him; invigorating him, boosting his strength, agility, senses, durability.... "... oh, Cain, accept this energy that I do not quite need as of now... I give you energy, and in turn, I may feast...." He spoke as he stared up at the night sky. He looked back down at the woman's body, the corners of his lips rising in an almost feral grin. He slowly went to his knees, muscles tensing up as he grabbed the corpse's neck. With pure, brute strength, he tore the neck away from the corpse's torso, creating a loud sound; a sound of bones breaking and skin tearing, while blood literally exploded from the woman, splattering upon Ike's shirt and the alleyway's walls. The boy let out an almost maniacal laugh, raising the woman's head and neck up in triumph, before bring the neck to his mouth. Then, he began to eat; his canines tearing into the still-warm flesh of the recently deceased woman, bloodying his chin and satisfying his hunger. ——————————————— The dojo courtyard was bathed in noon sunlight, not a cloud in the sky. Within the courtyard were a few individuals, looking for a good fight. Roxy, a ginger woman with 20 years of age. Sheathed at her waist were two swords; a 24 inch saber, and a katana slightly longer than a meter. On her back was a claymore, precisely a meter in length. She was clearly a dexterity-based, melee fighter. A little ways to her right was Cael, also a ginger with 20 years of age; Roxy's twin brother, in fact. He wore his black mage robes, and held a long, thin staff, with an ovular gem of some sorts at its head. He was clearly a mage–an elementalist, at that. And, for you OP AF badasses, a third stood in the courtyard; Cyra. Plasma pistols, a railgun, a vibroblade, a cybernetic arm, and kinetikinesis. Whoop-dee-doo.
Both are open. The first is whatever, the second is FITE FITE FITE—
• A shadow, a shining, and a reflection of the moonlight on the alley's entrance would mark an arrival. He arose from his position of kneeling and quickly regained posture, taking on the stance of nobility: Back straight, feet almost together and with his hands resting just behind his hip. For him it was natural and routine, though most would believe him arrogant and brash for such a way of acting, despite it being such a mundane task. The figure kept his left hand on the end of the clip-one sheath attached to his black, designer belt whilst he progressed forward through the alley, face and body obscured by only a blue hooded robe that reached his lower shins and bent only to the belt that rested over it and on his waist. The face of him was obscured by a black mask, carbon fiber with a sickly green grin painted on the mouthpiece, as he gazed out the cracked glass of his eyeslots. He arrived to Ike with a small nod towards the corpse, all the while he brought his free hand to the M16 slung across his back. Before it was around only his shoulder and held in place by his hand but now it was crossing his chest to ensure it wouldn't fall alone. He looked to Ike, a curiosity bristling through his mind like leaves of a tree that was his thoughts, and ultimately stayed silent in observation.

 • Ike narrowed his eyes slightly as the figure laid a hand on his weapon. He knew that while he might stand a chance in melee, there was nothing he could do against a gun unless he simply acted first, and so his crimson rune glowed a lightly brighter, his grip on his sword a little tighter. Heh, rhymes. He slowly rose from the ironically dead murderer's body, wiping the blood from his chin and lips away using his free arm. "... what? Come to disturb my meal, have you? Come to kill a filthy, bloody monster?" He asked, his voice low.

 • "You are no monster, you're an inkling of one - I fought true ones long ago." Azure's words were heavy and compassionless, French-toned and elegant whilst not being too deep nor too high pitched. He unsheathed the sword as a slick, silver cavalry sabre revealed itself to Ike, and he flicked it at his side in a burst of flair. Azure had nothing but a grimace on his face beneath the mask that night.

 • "If I am not a monster, than do tell... what am I? Do I even have a place in this world...?" As Azure had not yet attacked, Ike loosened the grip on his sword very slightly, the rest of his muscles following suite; not visibly, and most certainly not enough to cause slower reaction speed, but he did still relax ever so slightly. His icy, blue eyes were still bloodthirsty and maniacal; whether it was from true insanity, or driven by phantoms of the past, memories, was uncertain.

 • "You are an abomination, and an outlier in society. One that transgresses the law and must be ended, through prison or death." Azure was no cop, hell he himself was a killer at the best of times. But he always did fight for good reasoning, and he believed ending the reign of a killer was well worth it. He didn't aim to kill Ike, but he would if needed.

 • "... then put me down. That's what the men in white cloaks should have done. That's what all of the other Contractees should have done. That's what my mother should have done.... Will you be the one to do it?" Without warning, without making any motions Azure would be able to read before his attack, Ike had gone in for an attack. He started by feinting a punch towards Azure's neck with his left hand, but instead delivered a stab attack, aimed at his left knee.

 • Azure backpedaled the attack and kept an eye on Ike's torso, reading his shoulders and hips to dictate what he was doing for the attack. He drew the blade from it's sheath with his right hand and pointed it to the floor between them, as he watched the boy.

 • Ike would do something extremely reckless; his left hand lashed out, literally grabbing Azure's saber. The blade would obviously cut into his hand, creating a rather large and deep cut, however he knew that with the life force he drained from the now deceased and eaten woman, that wound would heal quickly. With the blade in his hand, Ike aimed another stab at Azure's right knee, instead.

 • Azure's blade was temporarily unable to be used but he was focused on the incoming blow, so rather than trying to keep the weapon he extended his leg towards the blade. Ensuring the weapon wouldn't hit between any plates, he guided his leg so that the weapon would slam into an armour plating to create a small dent rather than a gash.

 • Ike's blade would strike Azure's armor, its tip only making a small dent. He quickly moved his left hand down Azure's saber, grabbing the sword's guard before throwing himself against his opponent's torso in a body slam; his goal was to knock his opponent away from both his weapon and Ike.

 • Azure kept an Iron grip but tumbled to the ground behind him intentionally, taking Ike with him. He would use his superior arm length to snap the sword out of his hands and toss it to the side.

 • As they tumbled to the ground, Ike raised his sword as fast as possible in the middle of the tumble. As he landed upon the larger man, the tip of his sword was headed straight towards Azure's neck, its downward thrust aided by gravity, the momentum of the fall, and the strength of Ike's own arm, thrusting his sword downwards. Meanwhile, his knees were being used to pin Azure in place.

 •
Getting deadly so early are we? And here I thought we had a warm up period.
Azure shifted his head position just enough that the blade would create a large gash in the neck, but miss the throat. He took one of the daggers from inside his sleeve and flicked it into his hand, before driving it through Ike's stomach.

 •
Ike's always deadly when he's batshit crazy >_>
As the dagger impaled him, Ike staggered back, blood coming up from his throat in a cough. He knelt, having backed off Azure, however his left hand had grabbed Azure's right shin, pressing it down against the ground. His right hand which held his sword tore the dagger out of his stomach, causing another waved of blood to exit his throat. The Mark of Cain on Ike's right forearm seemed to glow brighter than normal, and the life force drained from the woman began to rapidly heal the wound. Additionally, a seemingly red mist seemed to float from the wound on Azure's neck to Ike, providing additional life force to heal faster and hit harder. Using the knife pulled out of his torso, Ike aimed another downward stab towards Azure's pinned leg; specifically, the gap between his armor that was also the joint that connected Azure's foot and shin.

 • The wound would connect with Azure's shin, forcing him to scream in pain and wrath as blood streamed out of his leg. It was then that he reached into his left sleeve and pulled a second dagger, before using that hand to grab the wrist of Ike and using the one with the blade to slash across his wrist.

 • The cut would create a deep, horizontal cut in Ike's wrist, blood pouring out as the skin tore. Ike let out a cry of utter rage and pain, lifting his sword up and slamming the tip of its blade towards the wrist that connected Azure's left hand to his forearm. More red mist would float from the wound on Azure's shin to Ike. Already, the wound on his stomach was halfway closed, and the one on his wrist healing fast.

 • Azure raised his hand quick enough that the blade would hit his forearm and dent the carbon before recoiling, and he used that second of recoil to jam his blade into the temple on the side of Ike's head.

 • There wasn't all that much recoil from striking Azure's arm, and so Ike managed to move his head back in time to avoid the blade aimed at his temple, causing it to shoot past his head. Ike then raised his left hand to grab Azure's attacking hand, raising his sword to aim an upwards stab towards the wrist that held the knife.

 •
A few things. 1. This is what I'd had in mind for the First Blade, not the design from Supernatural: http://orig01.deviantart.net/4ad0/f/2010/118/7/a/weapon_118_by_random223.jpg 2. You don't have to pray to Cain or anything. In fact, even if he could hear it, he'd probably tell you not to. 3. WUBBA-LUBBA-DUB-DUB!
