"As in you'll be coming this time?" Cylus asks with a raised brow.
"And as for Carly, I noticed the excitement ever since I even mentioned the tech. First time she said something nice to me." he chuckles

"I might be yeah. And yes, that's how you get Carly to like you. You give her a piece of technology she hasn't seen yet, she'll fall in love with it. And actually be kind of nice to you."
-
"Well I'm in! It'll also give me a chance to see how the project is coming along."
-
"You might be a tad bit proud. Carly and Vaughn were actually able to loop the energy throughout the base to give it an infinite power source, and to keep the reactor from ever expiring or wasting excess energy. Along with that, they were able to actually start transferring some of the energy out of the reactor and into smaller items. She's developed an experimental rifle that fires arc projectiles. The ultimate goal being to have a blink drive, or slip stream device similar to what the Invictus and UNSC have."
-
"An arc rifle? Slip Drive? I never thought it would be capable of so much! When Rachel and I first started on the project, all we had in mind was sustainable power, but modifying and weaponizing it is just unheard of!"
-
"Well, when you make something sustainable, infinite. You can do incredible things. That's why I was saying we could theoretically start dimension hopping in our ships. We'd only be able to go there and back once, before having to recharge the engines but imagine what that could do! And yeah, Vaughn and Carly were able to create a rifle that sustains a small amount of arc energy and fires controlled bursts of lighting type gunfire!"
-
"That's crazy!" Cylus exclaims. He looks up and imagines all the things the tech could do and lets out a satisfied sigh. "Let's do it. Let's go up to station seven!" he says enthusiastically
-
"Right now!?" Marker asked with a chuckle, looking over at Cylus
-
"Well you know, no time like the present!" he says with a laughs. He leans back in the chair and meets Marker's gaze. "You set a time and a place."
-
He reached his forearm up and pressed on a pad with his opposite hand. "Any dropship pilots currently available come in please." "This is Beck Artfulie. What can I for you, Lieutenant Colonel?" "Need an extraction from the dojo. Courtyard A1." "Be there in ten minutes, sir." Marker set his hands down to his sides, glancing at the doorway "Shall we?" He asked, walking towards the exit
-
Edited by BondyMilk: 7/10/2017 12:23:38 AM"We shall." Cylus says, heading towards the exit. As they headed towards the courtyard, they passed by Cylus' armory. "Give me a moment." he says before heading in through the door. A familiar sensation ran over Marker and Cylus emerged mere seconds later wearing his current suit. Full gear and all. "Now that I'm out of that old bag, let's go." he nods.
-
"I didn't stop walking, bud." Marker said with a wave, nearly half way down the street
-
Cylus raised a brow and trotted to catch up. "Smart man." he comments.
-
"Hehe, thanks." Marker said, as they approached the dojo gates The gates opened and the two stepped in, looking at a Militia dropship sitting several feet from the main gates
-
As they approached it, Cylus watched as the ramp lowered itself. "After you pal," Cylus says, gesturing dramatically with his arm.
-
"Why thank you, good sir!" Marker exclaimed, stepping onto the Ramp and into the ship
-
Chuckling, Cylus climbs the ramp and turns to stand beside Marker. "This'll be my ... fifth trip into space I believe. Still fascinating to me."
-
"Just you wait. I'll get you some free time up there. It's amazing to just.... Float around and look." Marker said as the dropship lifted off
-
Edited by BondyMilk: 7/10/2017 12:57:48 AM"I might just take you up on that offer." Cylus notes.
-
"Not today. We've got things to do!" The dropship landed in a Militia ship in orbit of the planet The ship lurched forward, entering faster than light almost instantly
-
"Of course!" Cylus says as the ship lurches forward. He adjusts his footing and maintains his position. "Still have to get used to that one though." he says with a grin
-
"You never really do if I'm being honest. You never really do." Marker stepped off the dropship into the hangar Bay of the Militia's Paragon, where Cylus had been to visit the UNSC forces in uncharted space. "Should take a few minutes. So… go play Pac-Man or something."
-
"Will do." Cylus walks over to the nearest bench and props himself down. Turning on his wrist console, he begins playing.
*Why do you insist on always playing such an old game?* Q asks
"Because it's fun and I'm too lazy to get another."
*That checks out.*
-
After a few minutes, the ship lurched once more as it exited FTL and floated towards Station Seven.
-
Cylus looked around and turned off his game, ready to move. He sat their patiently until the ship had fully boarded Station Seven, as it did the last time he came with Carly.
-
He could hear the large mechanical like arms bringing the ship into a docking position with the station. Marker rose up to his feet from a bench besides Cylus, motioning for Cylus to follow as he started walking
