Q, noting Marker's presence, continued the simulation. SWAT teams and police swarmed the building to find the bodies strewn across the floors. The warehouse was in shambles, bullet holes and shattered windows everywhere.
The screen cut to Cylus' point of view, laying against the wall facing the door. This was the point at which he breathed his last breath, as the screen went motionless.
Swat teams kicked down the door and flooded the room, gathering the bodies. One man in particular seemed to ignore Vector and his two men, walking straight to Cylus instead. Kneeling before him, he put hos hand on Cylus' shoulder and shook his head.
"My God. What have you gotten yourself into?"
...
The screens turned black as the simulation ended, and Cylus returned to the real world.
"Who the hell was that guy? I don't remember any of that happening." he says.
*I kept recording after you were gone. I went as long as I could, but I sustained too much damage...
I'm sorry I couldn't get more.*
"That's not a problem, Q. We just have to figure out what happened between me dying and rising from the grave. That's where we'll find the answers." Cylus replies. He took off his helmet and held a determined look on his face.

They eventually walked through the blast doors into the experimental lab were Carly and Vaughn were. The two were sitting at a table, with a rifle on said table with both working on it "OI! The connecter is sahpposed to bee here." Vaughn yelled, pointing at the rifle as Carly shook her head in dismissal
-
"There they are!" Cylus says, raising his hands in greeting. "Carly. Vaughn." he nods. "What have you got here?"
-
Carly turned around and rose up to her feet, walking towards Cylus. He was able to get a better look at the rifle that was on the table, but Carly quickly broke his line of sight as she extended a hand to shake
-
Cylus shakes her hand and looks over to Vaughn. "You okay down there?" he asks with a chuckle
-
"Foking peachy." Vaughn said slightly agitated as he continued working on the rifle
-
"Swell." Cylus laughs. He looks down at the rifle and back to Carly. "This the gun Marker's told me so much about?"
-
"Yes! The prototype Arc rifle. Vaughn, close it up." Carly said, glancing at the Irish man "Jus giv me a sek!" Vaughn said, connecting something in the rifle and than closing it up. He raised the rifle up towards Cylus, almost disappointedly.
-
"It's- it's amazing." Cylus comments. "Where am I to shoot it?" he asks, weighing it in his hands
-
"Just shoot it into that wall over there." Carly said, pointing to one of the four walls "It takes a moment to charge, so be ready for that."
-
Cylus presses the stock against his shoulder and aims the weapon. Pointing at the wall, he pulls the trigger and holds.
-
He could feel the raw energy pumping through the weapon as arc energy gathered between the two barrels of the weapon "The longer you hold it, the larger the shot. But it consumes more ammo. If you let go more quickly, you conserve on ammo but the shots are weaker."
-
"Gotcha." he says Cylus held the trigger for another moment before releasing it.
-
A small ball of arc energy flew into the wall, sending a shockwave going through the wall and a mark being left on the wall
-
"Oh crap!" Cylus shouts, looking at the gun. He hands it to Carly. "How does it work?" he asks
-
"Useful against Titan Shielding, and acts as an EMP that stuns or shuts down enemies. "Those bloody robotic soldiers!" Vaughn said, slamming his hand on the table
-
Cylus raises an eyebrow at Vaughn. "That reminds me of something, but we can get to that later." he says. "So how did you manage to weaponize the arc energy?" he asks
-
"We extracted some of the energy into small chambers, which would be the magazines. When you put the magazine in the weapon, the arc energy is released into the barrel of the weapon, and pressing the trigger activates the barrels, creating a "round" between them. Releasing the trigger causes a secondary smaller arc shot to fire from the handle of the weapon, connect with the main round and fire forward."
It actually kinda makes sense, and I find it kind of scary lol
-
Yeah that was quite the explanation, seems like it could be the real thing lol
"Astonishing." Cylus says in awe. "How long have you guys been working with the arc?" he asks
-
Yeah, lol
"Since you brought it to this facility." Carly said, Grinning at Cylus "We work fast."
-
"So I've heard. Marker told me about what else you've gone ahead and done with the tech. I'm truly amazed." he says.
-
"Yeah, it's all pretty revolutionary I like to think. The blink technology is still in the works, but we think we've cracked some aspects of it."
-
"Blink technology? Is that what you're calling it?" he asks
-
"Nothing else to call it really. Getting from one part of yeb galaxy to the next instantly could be "blinking." and it's not exactly slip stream. "
-
"Ah, good point. A blink of the eye..." "What about the transdimensional tech?" he asks. "Transporters, communicators and what not
-
"That's linking into the blink drive. If we're able to crack instantaneous travel, we could work on it further to tear through reality itself."
