I'm reviving this old idea to essentially put some thoughts and questions down. Feel free to post your own thoughts and questions as well. The more we get, the more likely Cozmo or Deej will answer them.
Beta-
#1. Homecoming: The opening mission and cinematics from Destiny 2’s Campaign.
Q- Will this also include anything hidden in the mission? Like an extra hidden ghost shell for our grimoire or a tracking timer for the community?
#2. Countdown: Enter the Crucible to battle other Guardians in a brand new mode. Attack or Defend the base on a new map custom-built to support this new game type.
Thoughts- I got the chance to play this already, but I still have the nagging feeling many people are not going to like the amount of close quarters this map has along with the heavy ammo specialty. I still think players should experience it and call it for themselves, but I'd rather have a gametype reward mobility in the sense of a plant bomb 1, now plant bomb in area 2, and so on and so forth rather then the way countdown currently plays. I feel it will allow different weapon loadouts to work and give people more chances to have fun.
#3. Control: The original standard for Crucible combat is back, with some impactful changes. Control the zones on another new map built with this objective in mind.
Q- Why? Just curious is all...
#4. The Inverted Spire: Strike at the heart of a Vex stronghold. Bring two willing allies, or let Matchmaking introduce you to a Fireteam of Guardians.
Thoughts- Again, I've actually played this already, but I'm still curious if their will be any hidden secrets to this place. I enjoy the living daylights out of the final encounter, but I also feel there's room for improvement and some unanswered potential.
Oh, and you guys will like the strike. It's built around the notion of giving players options on every scope of the gameplay. Go to town on them. Seriously.
#5. New Subclasses: The new fighting style for each Class will be at the ready. Choose from the Dawnblade Warlock, Arcstrider Hunter, or Sentinel Titan.
Thoughts- Titan Master Race. Why? How? Because Hunters and warlocks, while equally awesome and fun to be around, aren't candidates for the master race. =).
#itWasKnownInYearOneGuardiansSoooorrrrryyy
#6. The Farm: For one hour, on Sunday, July 23, we’re inviting you to tour the new social space in Destiny 2. Starting at 10AM Pacific, you’re welcome to kick the ball into the net or befriend a chicken. Most vendors and services will be offline. Our goals are to see how many of you it can accommodate at once.
Thoughts- And I shall be the first to be called Master Titan Chicken Chaser! *see status on profile*
Q- Why one day? Will any NPC's actually be excluded or just not able to interact with? Will anyone not be voiced while we are there?
What we Should Not Expect
Septiks Prime and a bunch of other Cosmodrome bosses who all fled the Cabal Empire I presume...

Another: We will probably not be invaded in our social space... *sad face*
#1. Clan Support: It’s true that Clans will be supported in Destiny 2, but those features are not a part of this test.
Q- Will the roster and other things still allow us to see who is online? Who is in the clan versus a friends list?
#2. Character Progression: You’ll receive rewards for defeating your enemies – be they Cabal, Vex, or other Guardians – but the Beta does not represent how your characters will evolve in Destiny 2.
Q- Will there be ANY quests or the like in this beta? Will we be given objectives once we reach certain thresholds in the beta?
Thoughts- I'm ok with this. Rewards in a beta simply mean we get better gear for things LIKE crucible and the strike. I don't think anyone wants to know a basic level quest or the like in a beta. I think we all want to simply enjoy the limited time in it so we can see whether we will be purchasing the full game or not (that's my thoughts).
#3. Character Continuity: Destiny 2 is a fresh start. Nothing we do in the Beta will carry over to the final version of the game on September 6. Of course, for every rule, there is an exception…
Thoughts- We did this once Cozmo. Deej even said to take a moment, go for a job, take a moment and cry it out, and come back. That Bungie would wait... well this time? You're all bas****s. You KNEW and you're still doing it. /s
The Destiny 2 Beta Emblem
We get an emblem. I've still got mine from Xbox beta. I still wish we would be given something more. Like hidden lore or a secret shader, emote, or otherwise so we do have something in-game, in the social spaces where we can say, "Hello fellow D1 player".
I'm pretty sure we all would like something like that. Or maybe a shader with the name "The OD". Because... ya know... we were there...
For those who don't get it: It's not OG meaning original gamer... it's original dancer... as in dancing on cayde's table... /s
And that's it.
