The explosive was planted at the base of the Cannon, nestled right underneath it's position along the wall. Clearly, the explosive was meant to only take out the Cannon. As the explosion had been rigged to go upwards, into the Cannon. It was homemade, bits and pieces of a bucket of some sort were seen around the epicenter of the explosion
