Chapter 12: Flow gets a Pizza :p

Link to overview
Sorry it took so long for me to write this, I had finals week.  It's a little longer than usual though, hopefully that compensates.
“She's an old friend of mine,” Sheet said, closing the picture. “Why do we look the exact same?” Sakki asked.  She looked around for a mirror. “My guess is that it's just a coincidence,” Flow interrupted.  “The character creation system wasn't the most detailed, but it did take me 15 minutes to make my avatar.” “Huh, maybe.  What happened to her?” Sakki asked Sheet.  Sheet’s attitude seemed to change. “She got involved with some people I didn't necessarily like.  They were way too risky in my opinion.  It's not like she enjoyed risks either, so I just don't know why she decided to do strikes with them.  I haven't seen her or anyone from that group for a while now.  My guess is that she's… gone,” Sheet said. “What do you mean gone?  How do we really die?  Because earlier I died, but I'm still here…” Sakki wondered.  Sheet answered quickly. “Well, when you die, you stay down for a base five minutes.  After that time, you're ghost will resurrect you.  That number will change depending on how much higher the level of the thing that killed you.  For example, get killed by something ten levels ahead of you, you wait fifteen minutes instead of five.  Your ghost can only wait thirty minutes.  After that they shut down, and you die.  Other players can resurrect you if they want at any time,” Sheet explained.  “Also, I guess I'll explain the advantages higher levels have.  For the first five levels higher, you get a 10% damage bonus and reduction per level.  The next five levels only give a 5% bonus, then the next five give a 2.5% bonus.  This stops after 25 levels, but can give a maximum of 97.875% bonus damage and damage resistance.” “So, basically, untouchable,” Flow said. “Except for percent attacks that deal a percentage of your health.  Although, only bosses have abilities like those, and most are pretty avoidable,” Sheet said. “That's a lot.  All I really got is that I can't stay dead for more than thirty minutes, being 25 levels above something makes you really strong, and something about percent attacks,” Sakki said. “All the important stuff then.  You'll be able to figure it out as time goes on,” Sheet said.  He walked up to the guy at the desk in the middle of the room.  “Are there any other quests I can pick up?” “Well, yes, but I'm not allowed to give any out right now, or let anyone leave,” the guy at the desk said.  “According to FWC predictions, the fallen are going to drop a Spider Walker near here, and a huge high level group is coming by to kill it.” “What's their name, how big, and how high level?” Sheet asked. “Two full raid teams, so twelve people, they call themselves Fallen to Sleep, and I don't know their levels,” The desk guy answered. “Sakki, we're going to try and steal some experience from this Walker kill, come on,” Sheet said, putting his helmet back on and heading for the door.  Sakki put her own helmet back on, and began to follow. “Flow, you coming?” She asked, stopping for a moment. “Nah, I got a pizza coming, I'm gonna log out.  See ya,” Flow said.  His avatar was enveloped by a white glow and then disappeared.  Sakki followed Sheet outside. “That building, on the other side of the clearing will be a good place to hide in.  Let's hurry over,” Sheet said. “But it's too high to reach.  How will we get up there?” Sakki asked.  Sheet ran across the clearing, and then jumped.  He began to float smoothly upwards and gracefully went inside a large hole in the building. “Use your jump ability, simple.  Just try jumping again after you've already jumped,” Sheet told her.  Sakki ran over to the building and jumped.  Then, she tried to jump again, and shot up. “Okay, lean forward towards the building,” Sheet instructed her.  She did, and Sheet grabbed and pulled her in.  As soon as she collided with him, she stopped floating and fell through the same hole he used and onto his leg.  She got up off of him. “Sorry, I didn't mean to fall onto you.  Are you ok?” She asked. “Yeah, I'm fine,” He said, standing. “Sheet, long time no see,” a voice said from above.  Sheet and Sakki looked up to a decent sized hole in the roof.  There was a person there, that had a helmet with 3 glowing dots. “Hey Juniper, how has Deed been?” Sheet responded. “She's been alright, still upset about the entire leaving thing,” Juniper answered, jumping down through the hole.  “Is she why you left Fallen to Sleep?” Juniper nodded at Sakki. “No, I met her… uh… recently,” He said, seeming unsure.  Sakki was confused.  They had only met earlier that day. “Juuuuuune, where are you?” an annoyed girl's voice said in the distance. “I'm down here Deed, guess who I ran into?” Juniper shouted back.  A moment later, another person dropped down into the building, followed by another, and another, and another, until the room was pretty crowded. “That's Sheet,” one of them said. “Hey, Codly, can you see his level?  I can't.” another one of them asked. “Uh, no.  I can't.  Sheet, what the hell did you do to get so far ahead of me?  I'm level 227 now!” Codly said. “Grinding I guess.  How long has it been guys?” Sheet asked his old group.
