"Yeah." Victor stopped, pointing to a patch on one of the grunts arms
"You can tell by this. Marauder Corps sign."
The patch was difficult to see in the dark, but then Marker opened the door.
Emergency lights flooded in the room from the open doorway and Marker took a step back
"Nighy vision off!" He said, moving through the doorway and looking left and white
"Holy shit."

Cylus turned off his night vision and rushed to see what Marker was talking about. Pistol raised, he reached the doorway

A dozen Grunts littered the hallway. They seemed to have died in defensive positions, their backs pointing to blast doors Some of the grunts showed no signs of bullets holes, instead they were slashed...

Cylus approached one of the bodies and zoomed in on the wounds. "The cuts are pretty damn deep. What the hell could have done this?" he asks

"I don't know..." Marker said, raising his rifle as he moved to the blast doors

Cylus unsheathed a large tactical knife on his belt and held it beneath the barrel of his pistol. He followed behind Marker, patting his shoulder to signal he was ready.

Marker pressed his hand against the console, and the blast doors opened, recognizing his rank. The Inner room was lit by white, fluorescent lighting and Fur Elise blasted down the hallway. "What the -" The sound of a bullet threw the classical music into disarray, and standing up from behind consoles were three technicians along with two grunts, aiming various weapons at the squad. "THUNDER!" Marker yelled, ducking down as there was silence "Flash, get your asses in here." One of the grunts from inside the room said

"THEY SHOT BRIAN!" Victor yelled, Blind firing into the room "Cylus, go cloak. Take the right flank, I'll take the left."

Reappearing behind one of the grunts, Cylus kicks them in the back of leg and brings them to their knees, turning them to fire on the other grunt next to him. He then pushes the grunt onto their face before firing three rounds at the base of their skull.

Marker uncloaked towards the left side, gunning down the three "technicians" that were there. "That's all there were." Marker said, lowering his gun and tapping at one of the consoles. "Brian's Gone." Victor said, walking in besides Charlie

"Shit. This isn't good." Cylus says. He looks over to where Brian had fallen and said something under his breath. Looking up, he turns to Marker. "We're bound to have company soon. Whoever that Flash guy is, he'll no doubt bring some friends." he says, scanning the room.

"It's a code word. In cases of emergency, rescuers yell "Thunder" and the people they're rescuing yell "Flash" to ensure we belong to the Militia." Charlie said, glancing at Cylus. "So how did this guy know the code?" Victor asked, looking at one of the grunts. "Interrogation." Marker pointed towards an opened doorway that led into a storage closet. Inside the closet was a chair with a man tied to the same chair, cuts and bruises across his body

"Damn. That's why Brian thought they were friendlies." Cylus says, looking at the body in the closet. "Any idea of what we're dealing with?"

"I'm looking through security feeds. I've only ever heard rumours of these guys. They shouldn't exsist... They're a futuristic pirates Tale." "Here." "They look like... Cyborgs." Cylus comments. "Augmented with whatever tech they find I'm guessing." He sighs. "Let's hope the other teams are faring better than we are. What's our next move?"

"This is the security center from the looks of it. Armoury must be on this floor. Maybe we should look for it?" "Or we could link up with the 6-4? Make sure they're breathing." Victor suggested "No. We should find the command center. It's the most defendable." "I'm thinking the armory. If anyone nearby heard us, they might have gone there. If not, we can lock them out before we do anything else."

"Alright." Marker looked out the door and started walking, but Cylus took a second look at the trooper in the image. Marker had mentioned that they were a pirates Tale. But why? Who where they? "Cylus?" Marker asked, waving his hand in front of Cylus' face

"Uh, yeah." Cylus says, turning to follow Marker. "What did you mean by a Pirate's Tale? What kind of people are they?" he asks

"You know how on earth, there would be Tales of beasts and monsters? The likes of which have never been seen? That's what these guys are." "They go by the name "The Helldivers" and they truly believe that any and all forms of government are evil. So they try to destroy. "

"Oh. They're irrational, and that's dangerous. We have to take our precautions." Cylus says, raising his pistol as they walk down the hall

The squad went down the hall, Marker looked at the walls "Door is going to be more of a vault type of thing more than anything."
