Y'know, looking through Youtube comments is never a good idea and usually just ends up pissing me off, especially when it comes to videos about AAA games. There's always a ton of hate for the wrong reasons. I think people are just hating on the game because they hate everything EA does and were disappointed with the first game so they will hate everything they try now. That, and people are constantly comparing the games to the old Battlefront games (even the one that never came out) and saying it's bad because it doesn't copy the game they have so much nostalgia for. But DICE made their own game and wanted to make the game THEY imagined, not remake one already made by a now nonexistent company a decade ago.
I played and love the original Battlefront games, and I really liked EA's Battlefront. It was a great game and was tons of fun to play and they did a great job.
There were issues, obviously. There wasn't much to do with splitscreen, there wasn't much singleplayer content, the game was a bit too casual (which is good for appealing to a larger audience, but is bad for a lot of gamers who like shooters), the dogfighting was so simple it was awful, the DLC wasn't worth buying or even coming back for for more than a couple hours. The list goes on.
But Battlefront 2 really looks like it fixes a lot of those issues and more.
• All 3 eras
• Class system
• Better dogfighting (not just "get behind, lock on and shoot")
• The point system could be good
• Singleplayer Campaign
• Free DLC!
• A bunch of other sweet improvements and new stuff
I'm excited to play it. Not sure if I'm gonna pre-order or not but I'm sure I'll end up getting it anyway.

Edited by CAD1420Z: 6/11/2017 10:06:08 AMFrom what I have seen, even if it's all pre-alpha footage and gameplay, it looks goddamn amazing and like a proper Battlefront game. Definitely going to get it, and already have it pre-ordered. That said, I can definitely find faults with it's predecessor and can understand why people would be leery of EA Battlefront 2. I, personally, don't see them as sharing any of the same problems so far, but that's just me. For me, so long as point-and-click guns that can be whipped out and fired in a split second aren't in the game, I'll be happy. The same goes for Explosive Shot. That star card makes no goddamn sense and is overpowered as shit despite DICE's best attempts to balance it.
