"What else is new? Let's go stop a war."

"Were it so easy, Cannon." Yuri said as he walked over to him. "I do not think we can stop this war. This is the first and final battle, in a sense. Our clans only exist because one must destroy the other. Why that is, I do not know. That is how I was raised. But even though Bella is safe, I do not think that will be enough to sway her father. He will continue his assault on the grenwalds, and it is likely that the grenwalds will not stop until we are destroyed as well." "Why?!" Bella asked. "I know the grenwalds are mean, but if Canny has taught me anything, it's that no one has to die! So why can't we come to an understanding?!" Yuri knelt down and looked Bella in the eyes. "Bella, I agree with you. Truly I do. But many won't. Old woulds have taken a long time to heal...trying to bring peace may be futile."

"We still have to try." Cannon decided, then blinked in surprise. Had he really just said that? [i]These people must be getting to me... I'm losing my edge.[/i]

"Ya! We can do it!" Bella agreed. Yuri looked at the two, stood up, and gave off a hint of a smile. "Then let it be so. Let's move, every second we waist is another second the sides kill each other." The group made their way across to the east, and entered the grove. As they walked for a few hours, they began to see crimson stains like the green woods of the sanctuary they walked through. Then, as they walked more, they saw bodies. Green and purple cloaks lined the ground. There were not many right now, but the battle had clearly begun.

"Osik... Looks like they started the party without us." Cannon muttered, reverting to his own language for swear words.

"Yes. Which means we are on the right path. We need to move, quickly!" Yuri stated with panic as he began to run through the woods. Bella gripped onto Can's arm but he knew that she would not be able to run as fast as he could....

He scooped up a sword from a body before turning to Bella. "If you want to keep up, hop on my back." He knelt down for her.

[spoiler]The sword he had picked up was a long single edged blade like a cutlass. It belonged to a Grenwald, likely. [/spoiler] "Okay!" She said as she hopped on his back. Luckily, the girl was very light.

He took off at a run, easily catching up to Yuri despite his missing and and Bella throwing off his balance slightly.

As he caught up to Yuri, he saw more and more bodies popping up around them. Arrows were stuck into trees and more red stained the ground. Eventually, they ended up in a small clearing. Ahead of them were two massive rock faces that w the parted down the middle. The top of which had trees and the like on top. Many, many purple cloaked figures lay at the entrance to the small passage between the rock face. As he looked up he saw green cloaked figures lying atop the rock faces. They had established a devastating chokepoint, it seemed. "Oh no..." Bella said quietly as she buried her face into Cannons shoulder. Yuri stopped and looked around at the massacre, his eyes wide. "Oh my god." He let out as he looked at the scene.

Cannon steeled himself against the sight, gently lowering Bella. "You two stay here. There may still be some alive, I'll scout."

"O-okay." Bella said. Yuri looked around the area, and as soon as Can let the girl down they heard people yelling down the passage. They heard clashing of steel, and yells of pain. "Cannon, there is no time to scout! The Tokage would have wiped everyone here out before they made their advance! We must go through the passage now!"

"Alright." Cannon began to move into the pass, sword ready.

As they crossed through the pass, Cannon in the lead with Yuri and Bella behind him, Can had to step over more bodies just to get through the narrow passage. There were green bodies, as well as purple and red. It was truly a war zone and if smelt of decay and iron. Cannon could feel Bella gripping the back of his cloak as she walked right behind him.

He pushed on, ignoring the corpses. He was a soldier, he had been through many battlefields like this amd worse.

The narrow path then began to become wider. As it did, the group began to descend down a slope. It was subtle, but it was there. Then, Cannon saw more light up ahead. He heard clashing, yelling and the sounds of dozens of bows letting loose arrows from their strings.

He hurried forward towards the battle. "Yuri, any idea where Ulfric would be?"

"I've never been here before, Cannon! I have no idea!" Yuri exclaimed as the two Tokage members rushed behind him. Then, he got the lay of the land. A massive sinkhole. There was a cliffside that went around the sides off the large cavern walls in the shape of a crescent moon. A massive village that was filled with finely built European like homes lined the cliffside. There were narrow streets that separated the buildings from one another. Most of the buildings looked the same, but there was a large three story home on the furthest left side atop a higher point of the ground. A long stone bridge went from one side of the moon shaped cliff to the other which connected both sides. However this entire rocky cliff seemed to be inside a large sinkhole. Sunlight shined down from the sky that came through the front of the village and illuminated the battle that unfolded. On the right side, Cannon saw the red and purple cloaked figures. They set up in buildings and covered chokepoints which prevented the green cloaks on the left side pushing forward. There were many more green cloaks then the Tokage, but the Tokage fortified very, very well. "This...oh boy." Yuri said as they stood on the edge of the battle. "Grenwalds on the left, Tokage on the right. How do you want to play this Cannon?"

"Yes. Maybe Bella and I can convince Ulfric to retreat for the day. This is...suicidal!" "Ya! We can try! It'll work! Probably!" Bella said with confidence.

"He's probably somewhere where he can see all the fighting in order to give command, right?" Cannon looked around for anything he could use to get both sides' attention.

He couldn't really see anything. It was an old fashioned town after all. He could not see a church with a bell nor could he see cars with horns. "Yes, maybe in one of be buildings. I can try to explain everything to him but I doubt I alone can convince him to retreat! Bella will help of course but he will still want vengeance for hundreds of years of war!"

"Well from the looks of things, he's losing about as much as he's killing! We need to find him!"

"Yes! Absolutely!" Bella said as she looked to the right. "Hey, see the house right by the bridge?" She asked Cannon. He saw a larger home that was slightly more elevated then than the rest. It looked over the bridge and had windows that faced it. Can saw arrows whizzing out of the windows and penetrating any grenwalds that tried to make a push across the bridge. "It's a great position! It overlooks the bridge and has a higher platform! He should be there! Probably!!!" Bella exclaimed.

"Good eye, Bella! Let's go!" Cannon started towards the house.

The three made their way down the streets, but it was here that Cannons scars began to show. His arm was gone, he hadn't had anything to eat or drink and his other wounds began to sting and bruise.
