Sheet led Sakki to a doorway.
“Okay, so before we go in here, open your menu and tell me you're level,” Sheet said, raising his hand. “Just make a fist, then open it quickly. Then, choose your inventory and look up in the top right.”
Sakki followed his instructions, and saw the number 4, with a bar that was almost full.
“There a 4… that seems kinda small,” she reported.
“It's fine, the highest level enemies get through here are 5. Right now I'm at level 10 because I'm using the teacher system, which is helpful when in a party with noobs,” Sheet replied, stepping through the doorway. Sakki walked in behind him, and heard some chatter.
“What's that?” she asked.
“The enemies in the next room. This is a popular spot to camp out nights, because it’s almost completely sheltered. Ready? I’ll let you lead.” Sakki entered a doorway, and saw multiple humanoid figures, except that they had four arms. All but one were sitting around a fire. She observed them for a moment. They seemed to be talking, laughing, and eating. The small one, the one not sitting around the fire, noticed her. It shouted at her, notifying the others. They all grabbed their weapons and opened fire. Sakki stood there, paralyzed. She was shot in the chest by lightning looking projectiles, but felt nothing. Sheet charged through the doorway, knocking her down. He quickly shot 2 with his blue rifle and pulled Sakki into cover.
“You know getting shot is gonna start hurting after you're shield's diminish, right?” Sheet said to her, materializing a purple cube.
“No, I didn't, sorry, I just-”
“It's fine, it's your first firefight.” He threw the cube and upon impact, it shattered into tiny pieces, each one causing a small explosion. Sakki saw one of them get hit, and its clothes disintegrated into a purple haze. She clenched her auto-rifle and aimed at the little one that had noticed her. She pulled the trigger, and the weapon jerked up. She quickly controlled the recoil and did her best to keep hitting him. She heard her ghost talk to her.
When you need to reload, throw out the old clip and reach towards your hip and I'll materialize another for you.
Just as he finished saying this, her weapon stopped firing, even though she was holding the trigger. She took out the old magazine and dropped it. Following the instructions her ghost gave her, she reached for her hip and another magazine appeared in her hand. She loaded it, and aimed back at where the enemies were, but they were all dead.
“Good job, you got one,” Sheet said, moving out of cover.
“Are we done with the quest?” Sakki asked, standing up.
“Almost, we have to head to the next room. There's a computer there that might have data on an underground tunnel that hasn't been explored,” Sheet explained. He put out the fire. Sakki caught up to him.
“So that was the Fallen?” She asked. Sheet nodded, and walked ahead. Sakki followed, and saw a large terminal in the back of the room, next to a door leading on. On the right, there was a pool of water with dripping coming from the ceiling. There was a bag holding spherical objects. Sheet walked over to the computer.
“Hey Sakki, have your ghost scan the terminal for data. I'll see if I can the generator in the next room working.”
