Anyone like Bluegrass?

I know it's not a very popular genre, but I was curious if anyone else had any interest in this style of music? If so, please share some of your favorite songs and bands. This is In Hell I'll Be in Good Company by Dead South. I also don't mind some Iron Horse covers.

I've been playing bluegrass for 25 years now. Started with guitar, now I play banjo. I've got a couple Martins and three banjos. I actually just got home from a local jam we have every Wednesday night. A few of my favorite artists are: Flatt and Scruggs Bill Monroe Tony Rice Doc Watson J.D. Crowe Stanley Brothers Bryan Sutton Punch Brothers The video I posted is Punch Bros doing Molly and Tenbrooks, a song Monroe recorded and made popular in the late 1940s. This version is definitely worth a watch. Chris Thile is one of the best musicians on the planet! If you're just getting into the genre, you should check out The Bluegrass Album Band. They took a lot of the old classics and re-recorded them in the 1990s with a lineup of some of the best pickers around, including Rice and Crowe. They did several albums that go through a huge catalogue of old songs recorded by Flatt and Scruggs, Monroe, Stanley, and the like. Monroe basically invented the genre and Scruggs perfected the three-finger banjo style associated with bluegrass. You'd do yourself some good to familiarize yourself with them. Doc Watson pioneered playing fiddle tunes on a guitar, and Clarence White took it to the next level by adding in some jazz licks before he passed the torch to Tony Rice. There's a lot of good shit out there once you start digging.
