Edited by The Cellar Door: 5/26/2017 6:00:01 AMYawn. My 2012 MacBook Pro still outperforms most of your trashy, ugly computers in my mind anyways. Design is better than specs. Realistically, I do have to work with simulations a lot for school, and I was actually surprised at how well my MacBook preformed given some of the more computationally heavy operations I gave it. It use to struggle with Skyrim a lot. That being said, anything that would be actually useful for real research in my field is going to be with a super computer, so until we have a fully functional mass produced quantum computer, I'm sticking with my Mac.
