Cylus let out a wavering breath. "Yeah, as far as anyone else was concerned, Rachel was my partner back on earth. But between us, it was more than that..." he said, wiping his eyes and sitting up.
"You ever felt anything like that Mark?"

Mark sighed, "I guess heartbreak comes in more forms than someone can list." He remembered his own experience of heartbreak. Who he was thinking of was the first he was close to. But, close friends was as far as it went. He loved her, but he never told her. He'd probably would never get the chance.

"Say no more. Your face says it all." Cylus says. "I don't mean to sound cliche, but you don't really know what was there until it's gone. We all want opportunities back, some more than others."
-
"Agreed," Mark replied. His mechanical eyes had a lonely glow to them.
-
"Sit down, relax a bit." Cylus said invitingly. "We don't always have to talk about the depressing things." he comments.

The Hunter sat down at the table, and sat on his cloak. He stood up again to make sure he didn't sit on his cloak again.
-
"That's a fancy cape you've got there by the way." Cylus says. "As I can see, you seem to take pride in it."
-
"Most Hunters do," Havoc notes appearing.
-
"Heh, sorta like Batman." Cylus says to himself.
-
"Yes, I like my cloak. I have a collection," Mark said, sighing.
-
"Cloak for every outfit?" Cylus asks sarcastically
-
"More like, Cloak for every gun I've ever owned. And I could probably arm every adult in the Last City," Mark said.
-
"Huh. That's a lot of cloaks" Cylus says with a chuckle.
-
"Yeah.... a lot," Mark agreed, "But that's a small collection compared to some other Hunters."
-
"Huh." Cylus said, lost in thought
-
The Hunter lay his head down on the table.
-
"What are we doing here Mark? Like really, what are we doing?"
-
"Trying to avoid depression," the Eco sighed.

Cylus leans back and sighs also. "Aren't we all?" His bird, Grifter, comes back around and perches on his shoulder. Letting out a chirp, he pecks at Cylus' head, trying to catch his attention. Looking to the bird, Cylus raises his brow. In turn, Grifter jumps into Cylus' lap and nuzzles against him. "Well, I guess to do so," Cylus says to Mark, "we need someone to be at our side."
-
"A good friend hard hard to come by, especially for lone scouts," Mark muttered.
-
"It doesn't have to be that way for you Mark. Allow yourself love." Cylus says.
-
"I am waiting, for the right girl," Mark mutteted.
