The gates opened with little fanfare. Stepping out were two people, a human adult male and a human female teenager. Even from the distance the figure was at, it could practically see that the girl was a massive conflux of energy. The man was no less ordinary than his companion, seemingly forming a massive feedback loop of energy into her. As they drew closer to the figure, the energy flow became even stronger, almost overwhelming. Then it cut off, shut down like a door closed on it. The man quickend his pace a little bit, standing closer to the figure. "Interesting ship you have there," he spoke with a thick Russian accent, "Hell of a noise it made coming down. What kind of armor that thing have to take an entry like that?"
-
A guy clad in what seemed like an up-armored EVA kit sat in front of the Gates, tending to what seemed to be a rifle, made from a military DMR and a plasma cutter. He seemed unaware of your presence, and did not respond to you just yet.
-
The continuous metal on metal footsteps would soon alert the man of the figures presence. Once it touched solid ground, the figure knelt and ran its gnarly fingers through the soil. It examined it closely, like it has never seen such a thing before. A tube opened at its wrist, and it placed several smidgens of the soil into the slot. "Noted for classification."
-
"The hell are you?" The guy said, quickly whirling around
-
The figure rose as quickly as the man spoke. The tube in the figures arm containing the soil closed with a small hiss of depressurization. The figure said something, but it was incomprehensible. Impossible syllables and pronunciations spilled from the things helmet, and it soon realized that the man before it could not understand it. So, the figure began to turn a dial on its neck. The syllables and pronunciations gradually became more simplified, and soon it was speaking Russian. Then German. Then French. Then Spanish. Finally, it spoke your tongue. "I am a collector of sorts." It's voice was heavily modified to make recognition impossible.
-
"Uh huh. As long as you don't 'collect' me, we're fine."
-
Edited by Lawhammer: 5/28/2017 9:08:27 PM"Do not worry. You are of no worth to me." The figure then looked to the Dojo Gates. He began to caress it with his fingers and inspected the wooden composition of it carefully. "What is this place called?" He inquired without looking away from the gate.
-
He started laughing "Insulting people isn't the best persuasion tactic"
-
"Insult? I did not aim to insult you. I merely stated a fact." The figure stopped caressing the wooden gates and turned towards the man. He approached him silently, and, for a few moments, stared at him without moving. Then...well...nothing. The figure just stared at him... Creepy.
-
"Then learn societal norms. I'm Alpha, who're you?"
-
Edited by Lawhammer: 5/29/2017 2:48:43 AM"You can call me Miz. My friends call me Miz. Or, well, they did. They're all dead now. I might've killed them."
-
At that, he readied the rifle, aiming it at the creature "What?"
-
"This is new." Fortis said to himself as he approached the figure. "Hello, I am Fortis. And you are?"
-
Edited by Lawhammer: 5/28/2017 8:02:49 PMThe figure stopped dead when the ten foot tall winged metal behemoth that is Fortis approached it. Strange languages began to take form from the helmet as the figure turned a dial on its neck. Alien languages, becoming progressively more simplified in their syllables and pronunciations soon turned to human languages. Russian... French... German... Spanish... then, the thing spoke English. It cleared its throat and muttered something about underdeveloped speech. It spoke in a heavily masked tone, obviously to simulate incognito. "Circumspect, to start. A trait you should adopt immediately if you wish to show anyone any sense of intelligence."
-
"If you want to show any sign of intelligence yourself, I suggest you learn what who means. I didn't ask 'what' are you, I asked 'who' are you. Also, if you were really trying to be circumspect, I would suggest not insulting strangers, especially not in this place."
