"Where's a vampire slayer when you need one."
He joked looking at the detained castle. It was a place Gerald seemed familiar with.
Transilva styled castle walls stretching the entirety to the coast, corpses shambling in the moonlight, it seemed a chapter of Castlevania had somehow become corrupted and found itself placed in the bay of the city.
"Too bad this place didn't bring with it the fabled Belmont clan. Then I'd have my work cut out for me."

"For us you mean. I'm not letting you go in there alone!" Zora protested almost immediately, stepping up

"Well, an extra hand would make things a bit easier. Besides..." Gerald looked at the lake as fins began to rise from the water. Mermen were starting to climb out of the water looking for prey. Strange fish like creatures, amphibious in appearance began lurking, hungry for flesh. "If I'm correct, these stragglers must have slipped out earlier. Hmm, death by merman, I don't think that's the intended fate for this town. We will have to clear them out before we can take care of the main issue" He placed his hand over the face of his massive watch and the hour and minute hand hit twelve, suddenly shooting out of the end producing a blade. He recalled the fireing of guns releasing a cloud of gun smoke as the shots rained out leaving spots of red in the water.

An Amethyst blade formed in Zora's hand as she chuckled Mischievously. She spun the blade once, than twice and began walking forward "Shall we?"

"Saving people from one fate to save them for another. Irony at its finest" He then pulls out his own gun and fires out at one rearing its head towards an elderly man then dashes in for the kill. Before he leaves onto the next target he quietly says to himself. "Almost a waste, I have to make sure he dies next week."

Zora spun in a 360 degree twirl, a wave of a strange light erupted forward as she finished the twirl, acting as a lighting bolt

Being damp lead to the electricity arcing and hitting a few close by monsters in the process. The heavily thinned pack of retreated out into the water in a retreat. Gerald shot at a few fins he saw before holstering his gun. The draw bridge to the castle remained open almost seeming to dare those who saw it to enter. A few sets of eyes seemed to shine on the other end of the bridge as more monstrosities awaited something to challenge them. "I never was a big fan of the eery glowing eyes of some monsters. So cliche" Gerald said smugly looking out at them in the distance. He drew his gun again and fired a shot into the lot and they could be seen moving out of sight. Gerald simply continued on the bridge with his eyes on the open gate. He knew what he was getting into and had a general idea of where to go. But even with prior knowledge it was going to be a task making it through such a castle.

Zora spun around, blasting more lighting into the water in an attempt to fry every living thing within it She laughed a bit maniacally as she went towards the castle

Gerald took a quick glance at a few bobbing bodies thinking of a one liner or two in his head while he got closer to the outerwalls. There was something strange about the structure. It was almost as if a section of the wall was moving. "Really? You didn't think I wouldn't notice you standing there? You really make a better door than a window." As he said that the brick began to crack, forming a large golem looking out at them. The construct began hurling whatever it could in the direction of the approaching party. Boulders, chain, even fists full of bricks flew through the air.

Zora rolled to the side as a boulder flew past her head "You have any suggestions?!" She asked, getting back up to her feet and dodging her way through obstacles

"Well it's fairly strong without a doubt, but it seems to have a lack in speed. If I had to guess, that thing is trying to keep us at a distance to compensate for its inability to fight in close range" As he was taking the boulder they were behind began to wear and crack for the continued bombardment. Gerald recalled a cannon and fired at the golem to throw the monstrosity off balance then took his jacket off letting him move faster without all the weight of the armor hidden in the suit.

"So what? Do we get In close to the beast?" Zora asked, slowly getting ready

"Stab it in the heart, remove the crystal from its eye. It's one of those. Just careful not to pick the wrong choice." Once Gerald made his way in range he began harassing the creature with bullets and jabs, swiftly weaving in and out of range of the golem's arms. He managed to make an opening where both the eye and the glowing red center were visible.

"Here goes!" Zora jumped upwards onto the golem's chest and stabbed inward towards the heart

Red began to glow from the concrete between the bricks that made up the creature as it began to heat up rapidly until the entire thing glowed orange. The creature became enraged flailing wildly in every direction in a violent tornado of destruction. "Oh no..." Pillars of flames shot out of the top like hellish vents scorching the air as the unstoppable fury spun wildly tearing tree from root with every hit. "Unless you have something up your sleeve I'd suggest we take our chances with the closest door inside!"

"AGREED!" Zora hopped off the golem, landing on the ground with a [i]thump [/i]She quickly jogged towards the castle, looking for a way in

Gerald looks for anything he can make an escape with and finds a small servants quarter door in the side of the castle. He didn't stop to think of what could be on the other side. Only that it could get him distance from that thing raging outside. "Quick come" He pulled the knob pulling the door open so fast the hinges shook a little from the franticness of the yank.

Zora ducked down underneath his arm like an gymnast, performing a roll through the doorway and into the castle

He slammed the door and backed away from it and waited to see if the monster would vent its anger out on the door. To some luck it seemed too preoccupied attacking any and everything else outside. Gerald materialized a lantern and saw at the end of the room what appeared to be an old man in mud soaked priest attire. [u]"Shh, there's monsters everywhere. I don't think they noticed me yet. They were supposed to send someone. Are you him?[/u]" "I'm afraid not."

"I suppose we'll have to do Mr Muddy." Zora quickly interjected, stepping towards the man "Who are you?"

"[u]Ted A. Hamilton. I was sent ahead to wait for someone claiming to use the old whip. I've been stuck running around in this death trap for days! Next thing I knew I ended up springing out of a lake.[/u]" Gerald thought up a lie to tell the man to make things easier. He quickly formulated a forgery in his mind and smiled warmly. "Well, considering the situation has changed a bit, I was told to retrieve you and after I take care of a few things. I'm, a close friend to the Morris family and more than happy to help in his stead" The way Gerald behaved clearly showed his theatric side. Able to play a role in such a manner it could be easily mistaken as the truth. The old man sighed in a relief. [u]"Huh, well as long as I get out I'm not complaining. Say, who's the woman?"[/u]

Zora looked over at Gerald with a raised brow at his sudden performance She looked back At Ted and sighed "I'm his mistress."

"[u]Well that's great but what do you plan to do? Without the whip we don't have many options.[/u]" Gerald materialized a note of paper in his pocket as to not draw and suspicions and pulled it out and unfolded it. On the image was a boy and a very ornate looking spear. "It may be true that under most circumstances none of us would be able to use the whip to its potential but there is another option. The Alucard Spear was originally made to complement the whip and could work as a substitute if we find it. Finding it might prove tricky but it would make things easier"

Zora didn't say anything, just nodded in agreement and going along with her "Master's" agreement.

"[u]why didn't I think of that....[/u]" Ted said seeming somewhat disappointed in himself. "Well it was rarely used so not many would know too much about it. For now stay safe until we get back. It would be tragic to have to bring back a body to the church" The priest nodded in agreement and sat down on one of the crude beds around the servant quarter muttering a few prayers. "Well miss, I believe it's time to look for this spear of ours" He beckoned Zora, as he went towards a door leading deeper into the castle.
