He vanished, leaving Fortis alone for only one moment. Suddenly, a sense of dread entered the air and a vicious storm grew overhead
You do not realize what you have done.
At a height of 10 feet, a man clad in an ornate suit of black armor manifested from thin air. He carried a sword that pulsed with corrupted shadows. The very space around him glowed with a mixture of darkness and fire
Hey, they are the same height now
"Oh boy." Fortis said. He pulled out a rocket launcher and fired upon the man.
-
Instead of teleporting, he simply raised his hand and closed it, causing the projectile to explode mid-air. Conventional weaponry of this nature is useless against me. You can do nothing but hurt yourself.
-
"Guess I will have to use some unconventional methods, then." Puts away his guns and brings out both his original sword and the sword that he had been given. He flew at the man and tried to stab him with both.
-
The moment he grew near, a sudden shockwave of energy resonated from the man's form, sending Fortis onto the ground I'm beginning to grow tired of this little game. Stop now, or you'll never see the likes of this world again.
-
"You are one of those untouchable types, I see. No matter, I have ways of dealing with that." Fortis disappears completely from sight.
-
He laughed, his voice filled with a sense of malice I can sense you. Your technological ploys will do nothing but waste time.
-
"Really? I thought that would work" Fortis uncloaks himself, and a massive amount of energy begins to build up in his chest. He fires it directly at the man. The beam is three feet in diameter, flies as fast as light, and is hot enough to turn the nearby air into plasma.

Edited by Wheatley: 5/28/2017 7:52:29 PMThe beam hits the man, and when the light fades the man is gone. There is a moment where only the rain and violent winds seemed to remain. But then, suddenly, Fortis hears an awfully familiar voice I apologize for what I'm about to do. The Dreadful One manifested from nothing, bringing upon an aura of shadow and fire. He stepped forward, his sword gone and both hands outstretched Goodbye, betrayer There was a sound, like some sort of power building up. And then there it was, an explosion that rang out in an instant, so quick that Fortis didn't have time to react... He awoke in chains that held him on the last remaining wall of a ruined building, his feet bound to the little floor it had left. This place was on a small land mass that looked out into nothingness. The very air rippled and moved unlike any on other planets. If Fortis tried to even speak, his voice would seem to echo across the mysterious Void
You'll get out soon enough...
-
"I hate it when I fight teleporters." Fortis says to himself. He tests the integrity of the chains.
-
The chains almost seemed incapable of breaking, like they were made of some otherworldly material. As he was trying to find ways to break free, Fortis began to here faint humming...
-
Fortis's wrists began to shrink in size as metal from the outside of them slowly moved elsewhere. In a few seconds, he would be able to slip free of his bonds.
-
Fortis froze, unable to continue whatever he was doing. As this occurred the humming began to grow louder...
-
Fortis looks for the source of the humming.
-
It stopped suddenly as the Dreadful One stepped from the shadows, still in his god-like form
-
"You know, you are much more intimidating than when I first met you. Where are we?"
-
He didn't respond, he simply walked closer to Fortis...
-
"I see, the silent treatment." Fortis springs out his wings and tries to cut the chains with them.
-
Once again, he freezes, unable to continue the process. He was forced to close them if he was able, as to avoid any damage.
-
His wings retract. "So, nice weather we are having today."
-
Instead of responding, he simply moves to a fragment of another wall and pulls out a peculiar silver hammer...
Look, you have to find some way to reason with him, offer him a proposal. Otherwise, well, you get the idea.
-
"Everyone wants something. I, for example, want to be free. What is it you want?"
-
He begins to move towards Fortis, the silver hammer in his right hand...
-
"I am guessing you want to hit me over the head with a hammer. That is good and all, but there are many other choices that you could make that would be more beneficial to you."
-
He kept walking, even closer now...
-
"Ok, since you refuse to talk to me you give me no choice. Titanus, get in here!" A massive entity appears in front of the man, wielding a massive sword.
