Year 1 player - Need weapon and gear advice
So I just picked up the collectors editon for £19 and decided to try destiny again after i left 2 year ago.
I see all my weapons that i was used to are no longer of use.
What is the best replacement for:
Word of Crota / Fatebringer
Dry Rot 32 / Efrideet Spear / Epitaph
Gallahorn / BTRD 345
And what did they do to my Ghost??? It sounds like some camp guy now :(

For the sniper rifles the best legendary would be longbow, ldr or event horizon, you can get shortgaze with all these, the dry rot i never personally liked as a shotgun but now its the matador/party crasher, they have changed special ammo to so BS now because of people crying about dying in the game lol so now its over run the pvp side of things with icebreaker or sidearms mostly

1 ReplyWell, there is a year 3 Word of Crota and Fatebringer now, both of which can be exotic (have primary elemental burn) if you beat the weekly raid challenges. There is also a year 3 Gjallarhorn. I'm not even sure what the second one you listed is but as for other new weapons it kind of depends if you are playing PvE or PvP. You can get a year 3 Icebreaker as well now. Imago Loop, Palendrome, and eyasluna are about the best hand cannons. Parthian Shot and Hopscotch Pilgrim seem to be the best pulses. A lot of people don't like The Hero Formula scout but if you get a good roll and like fast fire rate scouts its a great gun in my opinion. The new Event Horizon with a good roll is one of the better snipers if you like snipers. If you are going to play PvP at all go to the Future War Cult and get a Wormwood, even if its not a great roll, get it. Trust me on this.

Pve = scout with firefly and explosive rounds. Pvp = eyasluna / palindrome, genesis chain, aksis scout, matador, darkblades, event horizon, sword or gally or any high blast radius rocket with field scout and tripod + g&h, silvered dread.

They replaced dinklage (however you spell it) with nolan from uncharted. Fatebringer and word of crota are obtainable again but at 390. So anything you get now to max is better then what you have.
