"You see, freedom has a way of destroying things." -Scott Westerfield, Extras Explosion Magic 0800 hours Dojo Gates It was a bright morning, the sun just over the horizon. Dew reflected the sunlight off the lush, green grasses and trees around the dojo. The clouds were arranged in the sky a ways away from each other, not obscuring large segments of the bright, blue sky. Birds sang, crickets chirped, bees and cicadas buzzed... it was a nice morning. Slowly hiking up the trail that lead to Dojoville was a woman. She was a rather slim individual, stood at 5'6"; she was definitely skinny, yet had decent enough curves to be noticeable. Her face had a attractive, angular shape to it, and her skin tone was a tan olive color. Her eyes were electric blue, and her hair was a light silver. For her apparel, the woman wore an old, tattered black cloak; its ends were torn up, and there were holes everywhere on the cloak. It really should've been thrown away, but the woman continued to wear it, for whatever reason. Underneath, she wore a pair of black skinny jeans, which were covered in dirt and dust, and a plain, navy blue-shirt. Her shoes were black combat boots, with flat soles. Around her jeans was a belt, used for her weapons. She had three noticeable weapons; first off was a katana on his back, its blade around 32" in length. It was made of a meld of steel and silver; mostly made of steel, but at least 25% of it was silver. The base the blade was painted black, and the further along you travel on the blade, the more it shifted to electric blue. Finally, the tip and near the tip of the katana was entirely blue. On her belt were her two remaining weapons; first off, a handgun with an utterly massive barrel; a .50 BMG one. .50 BMG bullet cases were stored a compartment that was attached to the belt. And finally, on her other side was a knife in a round, extremely secure case; unmistakably a Jagdkommano tri-dagger. As the woman reached the Dojo gates, she put her hands in her pockets, looking around. "Hello?"
Open
• "Oh joy, another pissant here to stir shit up. Fabulous..." Said a gruff voice, followed by footsteps from around the brick wall. A man stepped within sight, he had Caucasian skin with ashen hair tied into a shaved ponytail. His build was somewhat remarkable, athletic to say the least. He had stark blue eyes that stared directly at the woman, he was clean shaven but with a brutal scar running up his left side of his jaw. He wore a carbon fiber bodyglove with the arms cut off, along with a blue overcoat that had a red belt wrapped around it, it's arms also cut off. He had a few weapons of note, on his left hip was a carbon steel High Frequency blade, capable of reaching 35ghz. Held onto his right hand was a karambit knife out of it's cover on his other hip, of which he was using to cut off the tip of a cigar. But the most prominent weapon was the Rail Rifle strapped to his back, a beast of a rifle if she ever saw one. One could possibly wonder how he could lug the damn thing around. He quickly let out a sigh, wondering why he was 'gatekeeping' in the first place.

  • "I'm... sorry?" The woman replied to the man, taking a step back as the man rounded said brick wall. Of course, she was used to being insulted, talked down to, but she always hated it when a complete stranger opened with rudeness. It made her feel... even more inferior than she already did. As such, her expression became guarded, careful to not say or do anything wrong that would make the man think even worse of her.

"No no, I'm just....making sure we aren't getting another psycho god or some shit. I apologize. My name is Samuel Weiss, Space Manipulator Extraordinare." The man known as Sam replied, doing a small bow. "This does not mean you're not allowed in. You can enter whenever and however you want. Just y'know, don't kill anyone or anything dumb like that."

  • "Um... alright; mine's Piper." She raised an eyebrow, before continuing to open the dojo gates. "And why exactly do you hate this job?" Piper asked, leaving the dojo gates open as she leaned against to a wall and spoke to Sam.

  • "Oh no. I'm not obligated to do this, I just do it because everyone else just diddles each other while letting others mass murder." He explained, while searching his coat for something. "Great, left my matches....But anyways, I also do this because I'm looking for a challenge, as you may call it. You see, I can manipulate the space around us. It's provided a pretty great ability to defend and assault those with, but the issue is it just does it's job too well. So, I'm basically biding my time while I wait for someone I can actually use said ability against."

  • "Huh?" She thought for a moment; even with her psychological inferiority complex, she thought as though maybe she could give it a shot–being a 'challenge'. "Well, I've got some pretty destructive abilities," She stated matter-of-factly–it was true. "Extreme electromancy, pyromancy, praemomancy, inanomancy, gravimancy, and kinetimancy."

"Hmm. Maybe, maybe. But I should provide a little demonstration of what exactly you could be going up against." Sam lifted up the cigar in full view and held his free hand's palm beside it. The palm took on a indigo glow, in which he pushed it into the cigar. When he was done it was....gone? Completely erased. This was part Samuel's ability, and a very frightening one at that. "That was erasure. One mere ability, but the one I use the most. I do not use it against people unless completely necessary. There are side effects to this, my metabolism and blood pressure increases. I can die of a heart attack if I abuse it. But, I am fair so I shall not use it against you. Now, are you sure about this? I will not mock you if you decide not to."
I'll give a rundown on what exactly he can do. His 'erasing' is essentially teleporting something to a subspace of sorts. I don't use this because it's broken as fuсk. He can also do the opposite, which is teleport space within the material dimension. Basically a telekinetic push for simplicity. More or less he can do really wacky shit with it, and thus I rarely use him in PvP. He does have an apparent weakness though, which is his lack of armor and the fact he's still a human, not an omnipotent God..
• "Fun...." She mumbled, already discouraged. But she decided to give a demonstration of her own abilities beforehand; she chose gravimancy. The woman extended a hand towards the woods near the dojo. Suddenly, an invisible singularity formed there; and trees were sucked in, wind was drawn towards the singularity, birds changing directions to be drawn in–it was a miniature black hole. She the proceeded to relax her figures, and used a different magic to cause a massive explosion to occur with the disappearance of the singularity; by the end of it, half the forest was wiped out. The dojo remained strangle intact, however.

  • Samuel was slightly appalled, but quickly fixed that with a smirk, giving a slow clap. "Impressive. Though I must say, wiping out a large portion of a forest is rather....harsh." He then took off his Rail Rifle, placing the rifle down and started to pop his joints. When he was done, Sam gripped his blade. "Are you sure about this? Actually, if we are doing this, let's try not to kill each other."

  •
Got a bio?
"It is? ... well, I wouldn't know," Piper said with a heavy sigh. Seeing Samuel draw his blade, she, took, drew her katana from her back. She twirled it around by its rubber handle once with her right hand, before gripping it tightly in that single hand. Suddenly, the veins in her right arm glower electric blue, and electricity the same color shot up the katana's blade. The blade began crackling with the electricity, and it was clear that the blade was designed to be a good conductor of electrons. Additionally, the veins in her left arm changed colors too; some glowed bright red, others glowed dark violet. Her left hand ignited with... completely pitch black flames, fire infused with a strange, dark energy–one could call it pure darkness, but that sounds edgy. Piper lowered herself into a battle stance, waiting for Samuel to make the first move.

  •
https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/1677784/227538018/0/0/1
Thus, Sam drew his High Frequency blade. He did not have any fancy magic pulsing in his veins, but in his free hand a small cube of indigo energy formed in his palm, unlike his erasure technique however, he held his hand behind him and with a barely audible *Boom!* he was pushed forward a few meters by some kind of force, holding his blade in front of him with his other hand, possibly attempting to thrust it into her. A curious thing to note about said blade was the fact if was not oscillating.

  • "Hello." A voice said. Though the source of the sound could not be seen. Soon a man standing on the top of the wall appeared into sight, waving. His face was hidden behind the helmet he wore. He slung his sniper rifle over his back. "Sorry about that, still had cloak on for some reason. Give me a minute, I'll open the gate." He jumps down, after few seconds, the gate opens.

  • "... hi! Oh, thank you kindly, sir," The woman slowly enters the dojo, looking around with a great amount of interest before turning her head to look back at the man. "Piper," She stated her own name introductorily, before extending her let hand. Said hand was slim, soft and relaxed, almost... delicate.

  • "I would say the same for myself. But, I'm probably not leaving this place for awhile. Used to be part of an army back home, but, that was going all to shit, so I bailed. Found this place, and now I'm here for, most likely the rest of my life."
