You'd Better Run "I seen 'em come, and I seen 'em go, I seen things and been people, that nobody knows I'm talking in pictures and I'm painting them black, I seen Satan coming honey in a big black Cadillac" -Motörhead Outside of the Dojo Gates, 10:22 PM The night had been one of torrential downpour and whipping wind, a strange and admittedly rare occurrence for the Dojo considering its location. Sentries paced about their usual routes, being beaten with rain and lashed by the wind. The wall, despite being lit up as it was every night, was hard to see through the driving rain. The moon was obscured behind the heavy rain clouds, the only light aside from the Dojo coming from the occasional lightning strike. Through the storm, however, a small feminine figure approached the Dojo gates, forcing herself into what looked like a pained jog, a German shepherd by her side, the dog soaking wet and muddy, just like her. She wore a pair of boots that looked ready to fall off of her feet, a pair of leather pants and a leather jacket, an old Mexican-style poncho thrown over her shoulders. On her back, a lever-action rifle, at her hip, an ivory-handled Colt .45 revolver. A gunbelt crossed her waist, and she had a bag slung over her shoulder, what looked to be an ancient mailman's pouch. Several knives sat atop her left forearm. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, mud and blood matting it. The front of her poncho was stained with blood, her jacket and shirt torn just below her chest, a bloody wound across her stomach. Both legs and arms looked to be lacerated as well in several places. Her left eye was blackened, blood running from her nose, mixing with the mud and water on her face. Reaching the gates, she collapsed into a large puddle, her dog standing watch over her, barking up at the gate.
Open.
• "That-that'd be be-better." She said, trying to smile weakly. In reality she wanted out of her soaking wet clothes and into something dry, but hot coffee sounded fantastic.

  • "Rain should stop soon. Hopefully it does, or else the crashed ship I'm living in will probably get flooded. And then malfunction all the parts I'm adding, which keeps me from leaving this shithole and head to another shithole." Rhodes finally makes it to the entrance of the cafe, he opens the door, the chime of a bell can be heard. Rhodes holds the door open as he waits for Sparrow to enter.

  • "Thanks." She said as she followed him in, looking quite strange beside him, a post-apocalyptic girl and a futuristic soldier.

  • "Yeah, so, just get whatever and dry off. Also, the tea here tastes like dirt, don't order that shit." Rhodes heads over to the counter and orders his drink, Sparrow is then asked what she will want.

  • She ordered a coffee, and found a booth to sit in, slipping out of her leather jacket and bandolier. She stepped out of her boots, knowing she'd have to dump the water out eventually. There wasn't an inch of her that was dry, and she knew she needed to find the man she was looking for regardless of her own situation, and because he probably had some extra dry stuff lying around. He'd saved her life before, and she owed him her help.

Through the ravaging storm and the flurry of pounding rain, the massive wooden doors of the Dojo released a slow creak, as they began to open, sliding mud and dirt out of the way as the gateway into the Dojo had been cleared. Inside, the lights were devoid, either shut off or knocked off by the storm from above. The dirt pathways were now thick mud, the Japanese-style buildings as quiet as ever, even as the storm only heightened in power. From what may have been the ramparts, a figurine fell from about ten feet and landed within the Dojo, crashing down upon the mud and yet, landing quite efficiently. The being sighed, turning back to the fallen woman and beginning a quiet approach towards her: perhaps they were the one who opened the gates, in hopes of bringing the woman and her loyal companion within. To describe the figurine - it was feminine. The female was around five feet and eight inches tall, her body frame being a mixture of athleticism and attractiveness, although it leaned more to the first of the two. Her body was clad within a carbon black skintight suit, complemented with oddly intricate designs consisting of dull gold. Over her suit was a black rain coat, pulled over her head to shield her from the pounding rain. She appeared not to be a combatant, due to the lack of armor and weaponry that she had upon her being. One may have questioned why she was at the Dojo, then. What could be seen of her facial features could be considered "pretty", by some at least: her face in general was a smooth, almost angular design, her skin a light tan in color. A dark black cloth hid away the lower half of her face, although the upper portion of her face was still visible. Her eyes were a light green in color, curiously yet worryingly staring upon the fallen woman and her pet. Strands of light blonde hair covered her right eye, as if her hairstyle was a curly bob of some sorts: the rest of her head was hidden by her hood. Soon, she found herself about three feet away from the German shepherd and the fallen woman, kneeling down and studying the dog and the woman. She wanted to see it's reaction: she wanted it to see that she wouldn't hurt it's master.

  • The dog, covered in mud and soaking wet let loose a flurry of barking and growling, watching the approaching figure. As she got closer, however, the shepherd seemed to calm down, recognizing that she did not move with malicious intent. The woman on the ground looked more rough, her blood mixing with the rain and the mud. She had to have been unconscious, and from a distance, it was hard to tell whether or not she was even alive.

"...Shhh..everything will be alright, boy," The masked woman held up an empty hand, as she then approached the body of the woman, flipping her over onto her back carefully. After cleaning the female's face off carefully with a clean rag, the being surveyed her wounds, sighing as she studied the wound upon her stomach. "Please, be alive.." She murmured quietly to herself, placing two fingers upon the woman's neck to check for a pulse.

  • A gash ran down her cheek, one of her eyes blackened. The gash across her stomach was not deep, but it was bleeding heavily. Several more were on her legs, and that was only what the individual could see.

The woman in questioned sighed, before lifting up the wounded woman, pulling her up with a slight groan. She wrapped the woman's left arm around her own neck to stabilize her, as the masked individual looked back at the dog. "Come on, boy-" She said calmly, her voice ringing through the whistling winds and pounding rain as she made her way into the Dojo. ((Timeskip until she wakes up, I suppose?))
17O (the character that I'm using) is taking her to an area that I should probably narrate, since...well, there isn't a specified med-bay in the Dojo, so my character has taken the responsibility of creating her own within it.

Kk.
The figurine that was still carrying the blessing woman entered what had appeared to have been an old, abandoned building within the Dojo, a sign reading "Closed for Repairs" upon the side of what remained of the door. The building was next to a wall, almost looking as if it conjoined with the thick wall itself. She merely brushed past the door, as she sat the body of the injured female down upon a tattered couch. From there on, the woman pushed upon a wooden plank within the wall, which would cause it to shift back and slide to the left: the pathway revealed a set of stairs that lead underneath the home's wooden planks, brightened by lights that hung from the ceiling. The woman once more lifted up the unconscious female, bringing her down to beneath the home and expecting the dog to follow. The area that the three would enter was like some sort of bunker: the walls were light grey plastic and ceramite, although it was hard to believe that the woman created it herself. The floor was plated with smooth ceramic flooring as well, while futuristic lights within the ceiling lit up the room as they entered. In the center was an operating table, while lining the walls were books, medical equipment, a small bed, what appeared to be an offline drone that was shaped in a "T" shape, and a closet filled with what could be assumed weaponry and clothing. The being sat the wounded woman comfortably and slowly down upon the table, sighing as she got to work - she first retrieved some painkillers before beginning to stitch and utilize healing items that she had retrieved before she had been sent to Tatakai. It would be a slow process.

  • While the process would take time, at least the woman was unconscious, and likely would not awaken for some time. Along with her wounds, she would need new clothing, at least until hers dried out, so as to prevent pneumonia or any other disease. She was a mess, and just barely clinging to life. The shepherd had stuck with her, remaining near the operating table, watching his master intently.

Once the female doctor had finished up with the stitching and applying the healing (unfortunately, it is from a video game, which doesn't apply much information about the actual healing), she then began to undress the unconscious female, making sure to not disturb the pockets of her apparel so that objects of value would not be disturbed. Once the woman was unclothed, the female then laid her belongings upon a stainless table next to her bed, folding the clothing before turning to the closet in the room. She retrieved a white t-shirt, black pants, a set of undergarments and a ark blue coat alongside a pair of worn boots. From there on, she began to complicatedly apply the clothing, hoping silently that the woman wouldn't awake while she did so. Because then, it would look disturbing as hell.

  • Upon changing her, new wounds were discovered. Beneath her jacket and shirt, her back was ragged and raw, the marks of a whip. Her hands beneath her gloves were lacerated by what looked to have been barbed wire, and her feet were raw from what appeared to have been walking non-stop for miles upon miles. She was a mess, and by all means should not have still been breathing. She did not stir as she was changed.

The medic gagged a little to herself - she had seen some gory wounds come on from androids, but they were always fixable. These were simply brutal. Applying more bandaging, stitches and applying the clothing, the woman finished an hour later, sighing as she stared upon the unconscious female quietly. She looked down at the shepherd, finally holding out her hand to see if it would approach her.

  • Smelling his master, the dog finally approached the individual calmly, looking at her with a pleading look. The shepherd knew something was wrong with his owner.

Sighing, the woman then checked for a pulse one last time before she retreated to the bed, sitting upon it and watching the body for any signs of movement. It would take a while for her to wake up, after all.

  • There was a pulse, one that was steady, so at least she was alive. After over half an hour, she finally woke up, groggy and in pain. "Where... where am I?"

  • "-Ah, you're...awake." The female smiled, remaining still as she held her hands together. An introduction was needed. "You're currently within the Dojo, the place that you passed outside of? I have your shepherd here...I am YoRHa Unit 17O, although I typically go by Olive."

  • "Olive..." She mulled the name over, thinking. "Thank you... thank you." She said, reaching a hand down to the dog, the dog licking it. "There's a group of men coming here... they want to kill someone I know who used to hang around here."

  • "...You do not have to thank me," Olive murmured, shrugging as if this was quite regular for her. "It is merely within my programming to ensure humanity's survival. Of course, that programming is rather vague, but...I take the time to serve as a medic, I suppose. Will you be safe here, for the moment? From what I know, the Dojo is a...rather secure location. I have studied those here, they would be quite the match for these men...I'm sorry to say that I've seen the dreadful wounds inflicted upon you, though. ...I'll try to not bring back the memories."

  • "No, no... you're fine... I'd probably have died had you not helped me, infection, blood loss, fatigue, pneumonia, you name it. Thank you." She said, a sincere smile on her lips. "The Dojo may be safe for now, but I do not know how long it will stay that way." The woman replied, sounding worried.
