This community needs to pay more attention to what we got, not what we didn't get.
We got new strikes, a new raid, a new crucible game mode (so far) new subclasses, new planets, patrol activities, guided games and in game clans, a new campaign, and a MASSIVE array of new weapons. They even changed the returning subclasses gameplay wise.
Although it may seem like an expansion, it's a sequel, so it may seem that way at first. Destiny 2 is a game that will very likely get multiple DLCs just as the first did. What Bungie showed us is what we'll get in vanilla. We're getting lots of content to tie us over until the DLCs come, and then hopefully the game will be as successful as its predecessor.
TL;DR
Pay attention to what we got, not what we didn't get, and look towards the future of destiny 2, not just what was shown to us in the reveal
