[u][i][b]A Fresh Start[/b][/i][/u]

*It was a cool morning, birds chirped and fluttered from tree to tree, doing whatever it is birds do at six o'clock in the morning. The air was soft and calmly brushed through the area, tickling the trees and the grass which swished and swayed effortlessly in return.*
*The box, the dwelling of an alien creature named Sketch and his family rested next to the gate where it had always been, ivy crawling up the sides. Though his wife and children were often caught leaving and coming back, the original owner of the box had not left for years.*
*The doors slowly opened, sunlight pouring in and landing on a reflective surface before hastily making its way to the eyes of any bystanders in a very painful intensity. A strange creature (if it could be called that,) stumbled out as if it was just pushed and the doors swung closed behind it.*
*It stood five feet tall, but that detail was overshadowed by the 'creature's' head. It was not made of flesh, but rather shiny, polished metal. Angular with no eyes or any sort of optical apparatus. It only had two fins which protruded from either side of its head, equipped with a steadily blinking blue light strips.*
*It wore a black trench coat and had a strange sword with deep ridges cut out of one side of the blackened blade strapped to its back. From what was visible of its hands and feet, they were covered in orange fur, whereas its tail was covered in red, orange and grey fur. Upon closer inspection of its figure, it clearly had a female body.*
*The creature stood still, its head tilting in seemingly random directions as it swiveled from left to right.*

"Yes?"she says [i]she doesn't open her eyes but her ears swivel towards the noise.she wasn't fully sleep but definitely knew it was standing there.[/i]

"Hello." *Her voice was distinctly female, but it sounded distorted and staticky, like it was being spoken through a walkie talkie. Its head didn't stop swiveling and the strips began flashing even faster.*

"The name is akiko and you are?"she asks [i]she opened her eyes and jumped ever so slightly as she sees it for the first time looming over her.[/i]

"Alice-142." *It says plainly, the pace of the flashing slowing.* "What species are you descended from?"

"Lesser fellpool from the planet roak"says akiko [i]she keeps looking at alice trying to figure out what she is.[/i]

*She is silent for about ten seconds before speaking.* "Catalogued." *She turns around and starts wandering around the courtyard, resuming the head tilting. She is making an audible clicking noise now.*

"Huh that was strange"she says [i]she was unsure by what she meant by that. She just watched it at this point.[/i]

*She wanders around, seemingly observing her environment.*

[i]as she does she comes across a very large mountain of a man standing at 10'9" high. He had fiery red hair and a bushy red beard to match with bright blue eyes. But he wasn't paying attention.[/i]

*She stops, tilting her head down then up as the light strips flash faster.* "What species are you descended from?"

"Hmm huh?"he says [i]he looks down at her realizing she was talking to her and he wasn't paying attention to what she said the first time.[/i] "Come again sorry i wasn't paying attention lass"he says

"Its a figure of speech"he says

"Please identify meaning."

"It's another to call someone lady"he says [i]he continues to look at the strange person.[/i]

"Catalogued for future reference... What species are you descended from?"

"My pa is a giant and my ma is human i take after my pa more"he says [i]he was looking down at her clearly not minding her question.[/i] "My name is talug what's your's"he says

"My designation is Alice-142." *She pauses for a couple seconds.* "I am an android."

"Hmm never met of before so its nice to meet ya"talug says [i]he holds out his hand for her to shake but he stoops so that she can reach it. [/i]

*Her head just looks straight at it and she's silent.*

"What have you never had a handshake before?"he asks [i]he looks at her curiously wondering why.[/i]

"Please define handshake."

"It's friendly gesture a greeting if you will. "He says

"Okay..." *She's silent after that, tilting her head a little every now and then.*
