Lot of people coming from seemingly nowhere (probably lurkers) and make posts 3-5 times in a day. Don't know what the point of it is, as 90% of the time they are low quality click-and-move on posts, like this one, but at least I only do it once in a while. However, this a PSA for all you "binge posters", slow down and think of something to discuss that will get you a lot replies, rather than having 16 posts within a couple of hours with 2 or 3. How does offtopic think about this "epidemic"?

Edited by burritosenior: 5/13/2017 4:39:04 AMThe current crop of 'regulars,' who are as forgettable as whomever came before them (don't remember names because, as I said, they were forgettable), seem to take pride in both the low quality of posts and the amount of negative responses they can receive. It leads to a lot of Conservative leaning, poorly thought out posts just to try to rile folks up (which when you think about it, politics and religion are the absolute laziest topics a person could feasibly choose for that sort of thing). It also leads to a large number of quick deliberately offensive posts. The standard in their minds has been moved from 'how good of a discussion can I get' to 'how many likes can I get and how many angry responses can I receive.' It's such a lower standard that it boggles my mind. I've been here long enough to see many rotations of newer 'regulars' go by. Won't be sad to see the current crop mature a little, that's for certain. As for the sheer number of quality posts on the forums... well, a person always has the option of being the change they want to see. Make the posts if you want to see more. Myself, I'm just riding the wave til they inevitably leave or grow up. But if that style isn't for you since you made a thread on it, make some topics.
