"Yeah. Sure." Marker said as he trotted through the doorway that led into the kitchen. "Satchel charges are pretty self explanatory. They stick to surfaces and are usually remotely detonated." Marker said, picking up one of the charges

  • "Thanks," Cylus says, picking them up. He turns and walks towards the cellar door but as he does, he stops for a moment. Looking at the racks of wine, he snatches one up and takes it with him. "Ah, might as well." He chuckles as he slips it into his pack. He hurries up the stairs into the kitchen and then pauses at the door, listening for any noise. He opened his map and found the fastest route back to the ballroom. He needed to get there as fast as possible.

  • "You know you can't drink that right? Just a simulation. Like your armour, guns and these enemies." Marker said, following Cylus upstairs The fastest route was through the main dining hall, which was connected to the kitchen through a set of double doors

  • "Ah man" Cylus complains. "Well if I'm gonna get to the ballroom, I'll need a distraction." He pauses in the hall, pulling out the two bottles of scotch and wine, along with the shotgun he picked up and a couple cloth rags. He empties two shotgun shells into the bottle of scotch and adds a small fuse that he got from the armory. He enters the dining hall and begins shaking the bottle. As he runs through the dining hall, Cylus begins to feel the it heating up. He increased his pace and threw the bottle of scotch at a table. As it bursted, fire spread across the floor and engulfed anything surrounding it within seconds. Cylus continued on his path to the ballroom, ready to complete his mission.

"$#!*" Cylus yells as he crashes onto the floor. He knows if he doesn't act fast, he'll get "killed" or trapped in the quickly burning room. Cylus looks at the operatives and focuses. His senses begin to overcome him, seemingly slowing down time around him. What he called impulse, the skill he demonstrated on the bridge, was coming back to him. Cylus pulls out one of his handguns as the first operative fires. He hip fires a shot and the two bullets collide, converging in midair before falling to the ground. He then proceeds to empty his magazine into the first operative. *Click.* He was out of ammo. Before he could react, the second operative had begun firing. Just in time, Cylus rolls out of the way, feeling the bullet graze his suit and Impulse's effect draining. He instantly dives for cover behind another table, saving him from the frenzy of bullets.

  • The Operative ducked backwards, taking cover at the doorframe and blind firing into the room. Cylus' position was quickly covered in smoke as the fire Spread quickly, even burning at his heels.

The fire was growing larger and soon it would be too late. Cylus knows the only way to get out in one piece could be to disappear, meaning he had to use the smoke to his advantage. He crawled backwards closer to the blaze, seemingly vanishing in the thick clouds. He made sure that he stayed low to the ground so that he could keep breathing and watched as the operative fired at his previous location. Once he got into position and the operative began reloading, Cylus grappled to one of the doors and flew towards him, smashing his knee into his stomach. As the operative doubled over in pain, Cylus brought him to his knees and knocked him out with a final blow to the back of the head. Cylus curses as he coughs from smoke inhalation, but he continues on to the ballroom. He had to get there fast before reinforcements arrived. "Sloppy. This is just one huge mess." he said

  •
Okay, just one thing. The operative is behind the doorframe, blindly firing So if Cylus were to grapple and knee the operative, Cylus would actually hit the door

Revised
The fire was growing and Cylus would be surrounded in moments. The operative was blind firing from around the corner and was emptying magazine after magazine. Cylus couldn't take the chance of waiting. He pulled out a flashbang that he had taken from the armory and attached it to a grapple. Just as the operative stopped firing to reload, Cylus stood up and swung it so that it would eoums the corner and land at the op's feet. The method proved effective as Cylus jumped up and over the table, coming to find the op covering his eyes, disoriented from the blast. Cylus quickly knocks him out with a blow to the head and begins running to the ballroom. The fire was spreading and time was limited. He needed to act fast.

  • Cylus dashed past two doors on either side of the hallway, which promptly opened with IMC forces coming through them He sprinted past them and through another set of double doors, directly into the ballroom

  • Cylus instantly shoots a grapple up onto one of the support beams, using his thruster to boost him up. He opens his pack and begins attaching every explosive that he could to the ceiling. Lining it first with thermite and regular blast charges, he created a small circle in the center. He then began covering it with the bigger explosives and finally, the satchel charges. "If this doesn't get through, nothing will." he mutters. Cylus drops down from the support beam and gets under a table, pulling a small detonator from his belt. He activates it.

  • A beautiful array of explosions ensues, the room filling with the sounds BANG, boom, bang! The ceiling cracked and soon enough, it began coming down Bits and pieces of debris landed around the room, with a large chunk hitting the table above Cylus The table cracked under the newly found pressure and soon, it would crack

  • Cylus grappled to the nearest wall and pilled himself towards it just in time to see the table collapse behind him. He looks back up at the ceiling, the smoke and sparks still rising from the explosions.

  • Several party of the ceiling had collapsed, and there was a clear way upstairs into what remained of the room. On the ground, a number of IMC operatives were scattered around the room within the debris

"Let's play." Cylus grunts, pulling out one of his pistols. He grapples to the nearest op, headbutting him and shooting him in the stomach. When he drops this first one, he turns, getting quick precision kills on the rest. He casually throws a knife through the visor of another that had attempted to sneak up on him, the man falling to the ground with a thud. After a couple moments of shouts and gunfire, Cylus comes out unscathed. The men upstairs definitely heard that one. Cylus spins around to face the direction if the gaping hole in the ceiling and smiles. He shoots a a grapple through it and uses the suit's vertical abilities to burst through, right into the throne room full of IMC soldiers. He was going to kill every last one of them.

  • A mistake, a grave one at that. The sound of gunfire was heard as soon as Cylus was seen in the throne room The first bullet tore through his right shoulder, followed by a second shot through his forearm, essentially making his entire right arm useless The third shot tore through his calf, and he fell to one knee as his a fourth tore through his upper thigh He'd have to make his move fast, as he was rendered mostly immobile

Now, it was personal The bloodlust that so appropriately deemed Cylus the title of The Demise began to come over him. Cylus tasted blood between his clenched teeth and he began seeing red. The degree of his abilities was drastically heightened and his Impulse was present once again. Cylus grappled to the nearest soldier and kneed him in the face hard enough to crush their visor, then beat them repeatedly despite his injured arm. As another tried to pull him off, he drove a blade into his abdomen and wrapped a grapple around the handle. He kicked the man into 2 other operatives, knocking them into the hole. He shot the grapple up at the ceiling and the man dangled there helplessly. Cylus pulled a pistol and began firing at the operatives and threw his remaining grenades at any cover they could get. Shouts, gunfire, and explosions rocked the castle. It wouldn't be pretty.

  • And then, almost suddenly, a rubber shotgun bullet hit Cylus square in the chest, sending him back a few feet. Standing at the throne was the head pilot of the troops inside the room, holding a pistol to the head of a young woman on her knees in front of him The rest of the room was quickly flooded, with a strong 20 or so operatives around the room all aiming their weapons at Cylus "STOP KILLING!" The IMC pilot yelled, his finger on the trigger

"Ah you guys always spoil the fun" Cylus grunts. "You want me to stop killing? You're the one with the gun to the girl's head, why don't you shoot me and drop me right here?" He chuckles and looks up at the pilot, slowly approaching. "You want to end the killing? Then do it. I've already died before, so why not try again?" Cylus stopped 10 paces from the pilot. His impulse was going faster then ever. He could see every particle of dust settling around him. He saw the grunts shifting uncomfortably. He saw the horror in the woman's eye. But this was all secondary to him, Cylus's focus was on the man before him. His plan was working. In most cases, it wasn't a good plan, but he was up for something new. It had to work.

At the sound of the gunfire, Cylus's impulse brings time to a near halt. He pulls his second blade, the first still in one of the op's chest, and throws it towards the pilot. As soon as it leaves his hand, it too, slows to a midair crawl. As the stray bullets inch closer and closer, Cylus nonchalantly plucks them from midair, much to his own surprise. His ability had only gotten so far as catching a flying knife, but somehow his time at the dojo has increased his power. He gathers the bullets in one hand and feels the kinetic energy draining from them. "I just did that." he says to himself in desbelief. The plan worked. He drew his assault rifle from his back and started firing. 1 to each of the 20 men, 2 for some in particular. When the deed was done, he closed his eyes and focused. Everything sped back up to real time. Cylus pulled it off.

  • The Operatives around the room fell like dominoes, every single one of them falling down without milliseconds of each other. There Was a small squel from the woman on her knees, who was looking up at Cylus, terrified obviously

  • Cylus puts his hands up as if he was yo surrender to the woman. He slowly removes his helmet as he approaches. "Don't worry ma'am, I'm here to get you out. We uh... Don't have much time though, so we'll have to hurry." he pauses to extend his hand. "The castle is on fire and we have to get out. Now." his tone friendly but firm to express the urgency of the situation.

  • Cylus whips around, looking for the source of Marker's voice. "So I passed? I gotta admit, it was a mess on my part." he chuckles.
