"What stories have you heard? Are any of them true?" She asked this with a hopeful voice, searching for some indication that this statue actually meant [i]something[/i]

"He's the reason that this place still stands." [i]The soldier said.[/i] "He sacrificed himself to stop a civil war, and saved the Dojo from destruction in the process. The monument stands as a commemoration of his actions." "And I was told this by the very man he fought."

"Huh. I've only heard the term: History is written by the victors. Guess that's not true."

"Good and evil are arbitrary, mere perspectives. What lives on is the effect that events have when they shape the world. Perhaps what is remembered is what needs to be remembered for the sake of our survival." [i]He said.[/i]

"I wouldn't call it philosophical, more so realistic. Judgement is a matter of perspective." [i]He said.[/i]

"I suppose that's true enough." She said, looking back up at the statue

"I doubt he'd want this statue here, even after everything he's done. Not the kind of man to want fame and glory." [i]The soldier remarked, turning from the statue and looking back towards the Dojo. [/i]
