Chapter Nineteen Lyn, once again, awoke from her unconsciousness. This time however, she awoke in a significantly less hostile area. The bed she rested on was soft, and she had sunk into it. Her vision cleared quickly and she found herself in a white painted room. There was a dresser on the north wall ahead of the edge of her bed, and a painting on the left wall of the shi-canyon. As she looked to her right, she saw a door. And beside the door, a chair. There seemed to be folded clothes on the brown chair, and Lyn realized she was still in her prison jumpsuit. "I lived....I lived?....I lived! Haha!" Lyn lept out of the bed and jumped up in excitement, but got caught on a sheet and tripped, causing a loud bang when she hit the floor. "Ow..." She stood back up and chuckled.

As she looked around she noticed the small tower of clothing on the chair. There was a note on top of the clothes. It read: Good morning! Or...evening. Or afternoon. Not sure when you're waking up. Either way, throw these on and meet me outside. They should suit you better then the prison jumpsuit you're wearing. -H P.S don't forget to check the dresser. As she looked through the clothes, there were quite a few articles of clothing in front of her. There was a black tank top, a white undershirt, black cargo pants(that had many pockets), A black Kevlar vest that looked like it would wrap around Lyn's stomach(this two had many pockets). There was a belt, and finally a black and white bandanna. As she looked at the bandana she noticed the white trailed across the black like... Broken glass.

"Huh. Normalish clothing. That's new for me." Lyn got dressed in the clothing, she felt slightly uncomfortable in them, but decided why not put it on for now. She can just summon her sword and get back her normal attire later. Lyn then moved to the dresser and opened it, curious about the contents.

  • Inside the dresser she found a small black pistol. A thin looking p99. It had a set of glow sights. In the dresser there were also two silencers. A box of 9mm bullets, and five magazines for the gun that looked to be filled already with bullets. There was also a black holster, and another note. Make sure the safety is on It read

  • "I hate guns...." Lyn sighed as she strapped the holster to her side, screwed a silencer on the gun, slid the gun into the holster, and pocketed all of the magazines. She then opened the door that leads of out the room, humming a song and even mumbling some lyrics. "...I'll fear no evil because I'm blind to it all, And my mind and my gun they comfort me, Because I know I'll kill my enemies when they come...~"

  • She found herself in what seemed to be a quaint hallway of sorts. As she made her way down the hallway, she entered a living room. There was a T,V and a couch on her left, while he door was to her right. She heard bustling outside.

  • Lyn continued her humming and quiet singing as she opened the door out of curiosity about the noise.

  • As she opened the door, the noon sun shined in her eyes as she walked out. She walked on to a driveway, and realized she was in what looked to be a neighbourhood. A very, militarized neighbourhood. Jeeps with turrets drove down the streets. The tile shingled rooftops of the quaint homes around her were surrounded by a large, steel wall that seemed to have been put up quickly. Soldiers, men as well as women, walked down the streets. They wore the black Kevlar, similar to what Lyn wore.

  • "Well, I'm outside, Henry. Now what?" She looked up and down the street for Henry.

  • One of the soldiers, a short haired blond woman noticed Lyn and approached her. "Hey!" She called. "You're from the dojo, right?"

  • "Yeah. I'm Lyn. Where's Henry?" Lyn kept looking around.

  • "You'll find him at the end of the village!" She said as she pointed to the large two story home down the street. "It's a big two story building! You can't miss it!"

  • "Thanks! Have a nice day!" Lyn ran towards where the girl pointed, but she suddenly stopped within a few meters and began to fix up her hair for a reason unknown to her.

  • More soldiers passed by her, all patrolling the area. A few waved at her.

  • She heard a discussion inside the white painted home. It seemed rather intense from where she stood. Then, the door opened. A shorter man with short black hair and brown eyes opened the door. "Come in." He told Lyn. "They've been waiting for you."

  • As she walked in she stepped into a hallway. There were stairs that lead up to the second floor, and doors on her left and right. The voices seemed to be coming from the right. The door man walked to the door on the right and opened it, which allowed her to see Henry with his hands on a long dinner table with four other men in the room. All looked battle hardened and wore brown dusters. There seemed to be maps covering the entire table. "I'm telling you, I can pull it off." Henry told one of the men. "Maybe when you weren't the leader of our band of misfits, ya, that would've been true." The man across the table told him. "You gotta stay outta harms way. That's how it's got to be." "That's bullshit and you know it Shane!" Henry let out.

  • "Should I come back another time?" Lyn stepped inside the room and instinctively went over to Henry.

  • "Lyn?!" Henry said with wide eyes before he regained his composure. "No! No, stay here. Right now I trust you more than these "intelligent politicians.'" Henry commented against the other men in the room sarcastically. Henry wore a black duster with black Kevlar underneath now. His tanned skin and blond hair went well with the outfit. "The fact is, I have the best chance at pulling this off!" Henry told the rest of them. "It's too risky!" Another man said. "Too risky?! We're fighting a war right now! Everything is risky!"

  • "May I ask what is too risky? Maybe I can help you all figure this out." Lyn crossed her arms and smiled a little in a friendly manner.

  • "Henry here wants to infiltrate one of the most highly protected buildings in Yorktown and intercept Faolin's right hand man, Quinton Lance, so he can get access to the slave's systems." One of the men explained. "And in doing so, we can breach the slave camp in Yorktown and free the Coldbourne's entire labour force!" Henry declared. "We need to free these people! Once we have the codes we can access the entire damn network and shut off all the collars and slave chips! This won't only save the shi people! It'll save the Celtics, Ollimunders, Gellidites, all of them! Why can't you see this is worth the risk?!" "Because if the mission fails everyone falls apart and NO ONE IS SAVED."

  • Lyn placed a hand on Henry's shoulder, confidance radiated off of her. "I'm with Henry. This should take top priority."

  • "See?!" Henry told them. "The dojo is on the side of risk taking. It's time to take action!" The duster worn group looked around quietly for a moment, before they began o speak up. "Alright Henry. Let's do it." One of them said. "Ya. Let's get this done." Yet another said. The rest nodded in agreement and Henry grew a sly grin on his face. "Outstanding people." Henry told them. He looked to the table and pointed at it. "Alright Lyn, take a look at this." He said. The papers on the table showed blueprints and construction operations on a building.
