Mion just gave a confused look at the man, wondering why he didn't see his wounds. She started thinking of theories as to why, and she settled on one conclusion.
"Um... are you lying? Are you sure that you can't see the cuts on your hands?"

"Cuts?" Valentine examined his hand closer. "Oh, those red lines everywhere? Those are wounds?" Valentine snorted. He'd had fresh cuts on his hands so often from childhood that he legitimately thought that they were part of his skin.

Edited by Tamedfrog: 4/24/2017 1:32:22 PMMion nodded. "Yes... how come you didn't realise that? You really need to get that wrapped up." She walked forward a bit and looked up to the man. She then turned her gaze to his hand. "So... would you please hold out your hand?"
-
"No." Valentine replied bluntly, not extending his hand. He looked away from Mion, towards the forest; for whatever reason, he was determined not to let Mion patch his 'wounds'.
-
She looked up to Valentine with a downhearted look, then looked down at her feet, her bangs covering her eyes. Looks like she wouldn't be able to patch him up without any other form of convincing, unless... ... She started sniffling, a single tear running down her cheek. She started to put a hand up to her eye to wipe it, beginning to sob. Turning away and putting both her hands to her face, she started to cry, tears streaming down her face.
-
Instantly, Valentine turned back to Mion, an apparently sympathetic look on his face. "Oh, I'm so sorry, okay, I'll let you see my hand...." For a second it looked like he was about to extend his hand, but then he grinned a cold, not exactly sane grin. "Not."
-
Hopefully you don't mind me doing this.
She wiped away the rest of her tears, and looked up to the man again. Her gaze met his, dark brown meeting sapphire blue. Mion clutched her hands in front of her chest, giving him 'bambi eyes'. Then something happened. Valentine somehow felt drawn into the child's innocent eyes, his mind blanking out. For a moment, he felt a sense of... calm, then a tight sensation in his heart. Guilt? Sorrow? Pity?
-
Valentine felt those emotions for a moment, and was about to say something. But somewhere in his brain, he knew something was off, which flowered a subconscious sense of doubt and distrust. Because of the subconscious feeling, schizophrenia arose. Valentine saw horrors begin to surround Mion; empty eye sockets with spiders nesting in them, centipedes crawling out of her nostrils, a snake slithering out of her mouth and curling around her arm. Valentine began shaking; the emotions arising from whatever sorcery Mion was using, and the contrasting appearance schizophrenia was showing him forced him to lower his head, placing his hands over the back of his head.
-
As she saw the man clutch his head, she widened her eyes in surprise. She took a involuntary step back, but took another step forward to reach and touch his head. But not before placing the medical supplies away. "H-hey, what's wrong?" Right when she made contact, it felt like a wave of nirvana had washed over the man, ridding him of his negative thoughts. Whatever this child was doing, it was certainly unnatural. Plus, there was no snake, no centipede, no other hallucinations... Only the soft humming of a gentle tune from the girl.
-
Valentine bolted upright, then from his pocket he took out a knife, and did what he always did in these situations; he stabbed his left thigh. Then stabbed it again. Then again, and again, and again, until his already dirty pants were so soaked with blood that you couldn't tell their original color. On that single leg, there were four heavy stab wounds; the pain helped clear his mind, and he gasped, stumbling away from Mion.
-
She stumbled backwards as the man suddenly had bolted upright, and widened her eyes in fear and confusion as she saw him stab himself multiple times. As he stabbed himself, the humming in his head seemed to fade as Mion took steps away from him. The girl started to think that she was only being a nuisance in trying to help (she didn't know of what she was doing when she touched his head, of course) and got extremely apologetic. "I-I'm..." She began, tears once of beginning to form in her eyes. "I'm sorry!" She then started to cry again, turning and hiding her face. That same feeling in his chest seemed to appear again. It seemed to be perfectly natural; no sorcery whatsoever.
-
"Huh?" Valentine stared at Mion. It that he once again had no recollection of what just happened; and once again, did not notice the several, rather critical stab wounds in his leg. He looked at Mion in confusion for a while, then snapped his fingers. "Oh! You're that girl... Mion! How are you?" He smiled, and it became very clear that he was not sane in the tiniest bit.
-
She had suddenly stopped crying, seeing that the man suddenly didn't remember what had happened before. She looked at him, blinked a few times, before rubbing the rest of the tears from her eyes. "W-what...?" She then grimaced in pain from the scrapes that were on her shins. She looked down at them and clutched them tightly. "Ow..."
-
"Not feeling to good?" Valentine eyed the scrapes on Mion's shin, not doing or saying anything about it. He once again did notice his own wounds, but he was getting a little lightheaded from extreme blood loss.
-
She looked up again at the man, seeing the blood trickle out. She gasped, rushing over to him. Now he really needed to be patched up.
-
"Hm? What is it?" Valentine asked, a confused expression on his face. He was legitimately confused as to what Mion was worried about.
-
As soon as she reached him, she put a hand up to the heavily bleeding spot, then pulled it back, seeing the massive blood smear on her hand. Then with her clean hand, she started to pull out medical supplies from her handbag.
-
"What are you doing, witch!?" Valentine inquired, about to start backing away.
-
"No, please! Calm down! Those are harmless, I'll demonstrate..." She sat herself down, as she unscrewed the antiseptic and poured it on her shins. A small amount of tears formed from the sting, but she endured it. She then started wrapping bandages around them, tying them up in a knot afterwards so that they won't be loose. "See?"
-
Valentine looked at the bandages legs, raising an eyebrow. "What's there to see?" He asked skeptically. "You poured poison on your legs, then tied your legs up so the poison could sink in. You trying to ki11 y0urs3lf, or something?"
-
She shook her head. "No, this isn't poison. This liquid is supposed to cleanse the area around the wound. If it were poison, I would've been curled up on the floor right now. I have to heal you, too." She stood up, putting the medical supplies back into the handbag.
-
Valentine rubs his chin, thinking. "I don't trust it," He decides, but seems to decide to let Mion do her thing, anyways. "But dying whilst writhing in pain isn't as bad as some make out to be."
-
Mion sighed. At least he allowed her to patch him up now. She walked up to the man, as she pulled out the antiseptic again. She started to pour small amounts on the wounds, making sure not to be too wasteful.
-
Valentine yelped from the sudden sting he wasn't expecting, and jumped back. "You ARE trying to kill me!" He exclaimed; most strange was that he noticed the antiseptic sting, but not five stab wounds in his leg.
-
She took a step back, then made a reassuring gesture. "Hey, it was painful for me too. Just... don't worry, the pain will go away after a moment."
-
"Sure." Valentine remained skeptical, but stayed put, watching and waiting.
