"Ya. You can hear that piano all the way up from the top floor, where her bedroom is." One of the guards said. Though he spoke out of line, Joseph didn't mind.
"Ya. Last time I talked to her about it, she said the F.D was the one who taught her to play. Did you know the F.D was a master on the piano, Roy?" Jospeh asked Roy as they made their way up through the throne room. Which was now much more colourful then before.

"No I didn't..." Royal said, looking down as he walked "You know, I'm not half bad myself. You Think she'd let me play with her?"
-
"Ha! You'll have to catch her in a better mood." One of the guards said. "When she plays this song, it's the equivalent of other girls saying "leave me alone."" "I've been able Talk with her, though. Joseph said. "She's pretty open once she knows you." The guards escorted royal to a spiral stair case, where Jospeh gestured for him to ascend.
-
"I've met her once before... Maybe I'll be able to use that..." Roy commented as he started up the stairs
-
"Maybe. Maybe not." Jospeh said as he made his way behind Roy. Eventually, the stairs stopped ascending and moved into a wide hallway with a large double door at the end. The piano definitely came from behind the door. "She's just in there." Jospeh said to Roy.

-
"Yes. We'll be standing by the entrance." Joseph told him as he approached the door and opened it slowly for Roy to enter. The piano could be heard fully and completely now. Inside the room, was a large white carpet on the floor. There was a queen sized bed on the right side with a night stand that had a small tower of books on top of it. There was a single window on the left of the room, and it was rather large with its French design. There was a small library on the left wall with shelves containing hundreds of books. On the north of the room, was a small, ashen haired girl playing the piano. The piano was grande and black, and it seemed like it had been bought right from an opera house in some magnificently wealthy country. He could only see the girl from behind as her back was at an angle facing him. She had a long white coat on, and what looked to be a silver tiara on the top of her head. She continued to play and play, as she hadn't noticed her observers. But then, Roy heard a single note of discord. It broke the melody of the song, and Lilly stopped playing and clenched her fists. Then, in anger, she slammed down on the keys, and the only music that filled the room was the sound of her tears falling to the keys.
-
He was silent, but walked towards the girl and took a seat on the piano bench besides her. "Don't get mad... Practice is what makes perfection." Was all he said as he played a few notes of the song and gestured for her to continue
-
She jumped suddenly from the stool. And yelped. She stood beside the piano, and Royal could see the black mascara she put on stream down her face. "Wh-what? What are you...what are you doing here?" She asked. She turned to Joseph. "Jospeh? Why...why did you bring him here? My f-father said-" "Ma'm." Jospeh started. "To be frank, I listen to you, not your father."
-
Royal turned his head, closing his eyes and beginning to play his own melody https://youtu.be/xk9EjV2gwvI "You remember me I'm assuming." Royal said, continuing the melody without stopping or opening his eyes
-
"Y-yes. You're royal. You were...talking with my sister. The night...the night it happened." Lilly told him. He breath was shaky as she spoke to Roy.
-
"That's correct. Is it alright if I speak with you, Lilly? That was your name correct?" The soulful piano came to sudden halt, falling into a silence as he opened his eyes and titled his head to look at her
-
She looked at Royal in silence for a moment. She looked at the piano, and then to him. She turned around to Jospeh, who nodded his head, then she turned back to royal. "I...you can play, then?" She asked him. This was her response to his question as she referred to the instrument.
-
"Yes. I can play. Would you like to begin the melody? Or should I?" He asked calmly, adjusting himself slightly
-
"Ummmm." She let out as she looked at the piano to think. She wiped her eyes, wiping the mascara off her face. "I...I would like to start." She said as she sat down on the bench again and rested her fingers on the piano. Royal noticed that she tapped her left foot before she played to get a rhythm. Then, she began to play as she did before.
-
Royal was silent, playing his parts of the song were needed and even adding certain parts that seemed to better the actual flow of it
-
The two continued to play, until suddenly, Lilly stopped. She clenched her fists again and stared down at the keys. "Royal...." she said. "...Why are you here?"
-
"Honestly? I'm here to 'turn' you against the other Coldbournes." Royal said, stopping his own playing "That's what Falk wants at least." He said, looking towards her. "But I'm really here to make sure you're alright.... Despite what stories you might have heard about me, or what I've done. Despite the fact that I'm here for an ulterior motive." He sighed heavily, looking down "I lost a brother when I was young. His human name was Keith. And when he died.... I was too young to really understand it, but It still hit me." "You're old enough to understand. And from what I've heard, Alex is the one that taught you piano in the first place. I can sympathize."
-
"What?!" Lilly said as she stood up again. She was surprised by Royals comments. Joseph suddenly raised his gun up and pointed it at royal. "Royal! I'm afraid I can't let you-!" He was interrupted as Lilly raised her hand up. A massive amount of snow came from her hand and blew Jospeh out of the doorway, and the wind also closed the door. Then, it froze.
-
"I don't want to this to you. Really. I'm not willing to make you turn against your own family for a second time and watch them die like Alex." Royal commented, and his voice sounded shaky his eyes, watery.
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 4/19/2017 10:06:58 PM"Royal...I..." She started and stammered as she walked towards the window. "I'm sorry about your own brother. I really am. But...I can't just turn on my family. I couldn't!" She exclaimed.
-
"I don't want you to.... It'd be a repeat of Alex really... And.... Well... Alex...." A tear dripped down his cheek and fell to the ground. "Gosh, why couldn't he just play along..." Royal said this outloud, though it became clear he was talking to himself now
-
She turned to Royal, her hair swaying from the turn. "You're right, Royal. But it's not only that. I can't betray Diana, Or Felix, Faolin or Cain...."
-
Edited by Royal Blade: 4/20/2017 12:30:46 AM"You have to..." He took a deep shaky breath and rubbed his eyes, getting to his feet and calming down. "Every war, battle, skirmish has it sides. You gotta pick a side. Frankly, to me it seems like the Coldbournes are the wrong side." He took another deep shaky breath. It was clear he was uncomfortable requesting this, but it had to be done.
-
"NO!" Lilly suddenly yelled out. "I can't abandon them! They would never do that to me! They wouldn't!" She cried.
-
"They did it to Alex didn't they? After he tried to protect you, after he tried saving the family he cared for...."
